  1. Most clubs have have an alternative night for rain Off's that they can use a number of times during the season, therefore the should be forced to re arrange a rain off within a certain timescale (2 weeks) or concede the tie.At this stage of the season there should only be the Play offs to complete ,not all 3 competitions.
  2. Total self interest rules in BSPA,things will never change( except the rules as they go alone).
  3. The season officially end and the end of October so why would they go home before then.If the fixture are not completed by the they should be scrapped for this season. There is probably a week to spare before the Aussies go surely. Its just a shambles .
  4. What a load of cobblers IMO .Best equipment or not you still have to be able to ride it.Im not a fan but he is a class act on a bike.Mauger started it with Professionalism and attention to detail the rest followed. Its set- ups and being able to adapt to changing track conditions as the meeting goes on are the main difference between the top men nowadays.
  5. Harris is comfortable earning an nice living out of the sport.
  6. Has Swindon Definately run the last meeting at the Present Stadium,if nothing happens in the winter months can they go back and use it as they did after the last "farewell" meeting .I see to recall it was said the the Stadium would used till the new build transpired !
  7. What's this "thems the rules" Mason is 6th in the Workington averages because the other 5 have ridden better throughout the season that's how it works and has done in speedway for a very long time.He was brilliant in both meetings yesterday and beat Tigers heat leaders with ease, some of the Tigers "star men" need to take a good look at themselves when it comes to commitment unlike Mason who gave it everything.Workington is a real Team effort throughout the season when 1 rider is having a poor day someone steps up.Hope the can finish with Trophies because they have had a very turbulent season and deserve something.
  8. Try telling that to a Workington Promoter or fan, double headers and 3 Meetings in 3 days.
  9. A good days racing, with an exciting ending, fortunes and misfortunes kind of even out,but not putting Wells in Ht 15 was an error IMO. Congrats to Comets.
  10. One point that everyone seems to forget is the League,Play -Off's ,KO Cups ect, have been won by various "Select" teams over the season giving the "rules" situation in the sport regarding Guests,R/r and averages and being able to drop riders at will.
  11. Think that shows how corrupt the sport is,yet the 2 teams in the final can make up their own rules.Look at another one When Steve Worrel turn up to ride at Workington as a guest he was told to go home, what would have happened if the 2 Teams concerned Ok it for him to ride, you can bet the sh#t would have hit the fan at the BSPA.They are not one of the "in crowd". Honestly don't know how they are going to sort themes the sport is in. probably" as you were" if they can sucker a team to move up to Premier.
  12. Think the difference in ability of the riders is one reason the the racing has deteriorated.Lambert and Harris proved that last night. The Premiership is at its lowest standard.Surely can't survive much longer.Either 1 league or Squad System for Premiership is the way to go,this guesting lark is making a mockery of an already Mickey Mouse sport.
  13. Most have given up on this rule breaking episode between 2 teams. The new rule will be if the 2 teams riding against each other agree you can field any Team you want. There Will definately be a few riders looking for bookings next season reading between the lines. The sport is on it's a#se.
  14. The Tigers Promotion are obviously very wealthy people, but buying the Stadium and the surrounding land could prove a good business investment in the long term.Well done to them.
  15. The exclusion of Palm Toft was bad enough, but his injury made 10 times worse IMO.Not being able to ride again left Allit up s#it creek espiecially with Elliss's starting antics.
  16. Tend to agree,he is still young and another season at NL level is best option.Personaly not sure having Berwick as a home track is a great advantage to a young rider learning the sport, to much gate and go.Wish him the best whatever he chooses.
