  1. I think the value for money is a factor these days, and agree regarding Clubs needing to budget ,they are paying riders more than they can afford in a lot of cases. The chickens are coming home to roost as far as riders wages are concerned.
  2. Unfortunately nowadays most Clubs rely on Sponsors and Supporters pouring in money just to stay afloat,it can’t go on forever.! Feel sorry for Laura Morgan but that’s Speedway these days.As I have said before Personaly I think the racing at Workington is entertaining but crowds have disappeared, the money is just not about for the admission prices IMO.
  3. Very sad news ,another good venue lost to the sport.
  4. Having attended the end of season Finals as a neautral ,I though it showed how far the crowd levels have dropped over the last seasons,it looked nothing special but certainly much bigger than the league meetings I attended.I think the racing at Worky is very enjoyable even is not much passing as it is entertaining.goog luck to them I hoping people come forward.Think a lot of tracks are in the same boat however.
  5. Looks a very interesting League a lot close matched Teams Imo.As long a they just get on with it a not have the usual end of season log jam with fixtures.K.O.Cup and Shield fixture should be completed and out the way long before Play offs unlike previous seasons.Wont hold my breath though.Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all supporters.
  6. Greg moved to where he THOUGHT the money was,did he not refuse to ride for them for 2nd half of season because he had not been paided?
  7. Was Steve Boxall not another one who was averaging over 8?
  8. In Redcar’s case I agree. You have to agree the standards has been watered down though with the new points limit. Some teams are suffering more than others regarding points limit,Redcars poor season last year has helped them. IMO.I wish them well as it’s a great racetrack.
  9. Nothing would be gained, just pointing out one of the the reasons why people wont be flocking back to the sport IMO.Wages to riders are the reason the sport is in the state that it is in.Set pay rates with bonuses to riders if crowd levels increase instead of giving them money that can’t be afforded.
  10. While I agree its the product that matters, can they justify the prices they are currently charging for the “ watering down”.Think a lot of people will thinking twice regarding paying former “big names” over the top money IMO.
  11. It will just be a repeat of his foul mouthed rant about what is wrong with the sport and how wealthy he now is ,and when he will retire.Except you have to pay to hear it.
  12. Great news, should be plenty room for everybody.
  13. You have to take into account what the rider thinks is best for him,his little fallout with May might be in the back of his mind.I don’t believe for a minute that Harris is cheaper than Wright.
  14. While you need a Bit of luck in this sport, judging what I saw of him at Ashfield last season he looks a real talent.
  15. After romping the 2019 Championshipand showing profits of £100,000+ they will take a chance and move up to the Premiership. That should silence a few.
  16. I think you need to look at your Teams signings before you start rubbishing other Teams signings,if that’s your game .
  17. He is the same standard as a lot of the reserves in the league next next season,I’m quite sure he will give it his best shot and wish him well.To say he will will be the worst rider in the league is very disrespectful he did not create this situation. There a few 2 pointers who will find his home track a challenge to say the least.
  18. Think your right,Promotion taking a gamble hope it pays off, difficult to get a competitive Team in present financial circumstances.Fans have to support the step up .
  19. Travelling was not an issue last year though,he improved a lot ,seemed to like the track.Like I said I don’t know if he turned them down or wasn’t considered.
  20. Unless he could not agree terms or there has been a fall- out its seems strange not to bring Jack back after pereseving with him last season,he showed promise and surely they had an idea of league structure being weakened,he should have been the 1 st name on the Teamsheet IMO
  21. Cook knows he is at his limit,he doesn’t want to throw all his money at something that is beyond him IMO.His Polish league form wasn’t great considering it was 2 nd tier.If you don’t perform over there your dropped ,not like here. His pal Dan guzumpted him last year at Rybnik.
