  1. Can’t believe they are charging £110 to watch a GP.
  2. It’s noticeable that the ‘ lesser’ riders are concentrate on abroad now,GB is just there ‘top up’ money.Best equipment will be there.
  3. Wells is having a poor spell. Not really got going this season Imo
  4. He didn’t look in ANY CONTROL at Edinburgh on Friday ,he will always be injury prone the way he rides, feel sorry for his opponents. An accident waiting to happen IMO.
  5. I don't believe that was the case, only my opinion though, there are multiple reasons why attendances have fallen ,failure to attract new fans and keep them is one .IMO
  6. That’s just the forum thought ,my concern is where are the fans disappearing too (or is all the talk about poor crowds untrue) and why.Nobody seems to have the real answer.
  7. Surely Positive comments would be welcome on the forum
  8. In your opinion, which is what a forum is about
  9. It is a Forum, people express their views and thoughts ,don’t think it alters anybody else from actually attending speedway. All sports have them nowadays you don’t have to join if you don’t want too. There are not a lot of fans on this forum these days mainly because they have gave up on the sport for various reasons. They can’t all be wrong. It seems Promoters only want positives to be aired on forums, that why there is so few left to comment.Imo.
  10. Don’t think Berwick are the only Club suffering dwindling crowds and considering the results ,it proves that there are a number of other reasons for this scenario ,which have already been discussed endlessly on this forum .The negativity is depressing but it can’t all be wrong.IMO.
  11. Danny likes big fast tracks is why he is still at Berwick. If you see him at small technical tracks he looks like a junior ,he is doing the job he was brought in to do.
  12. Monarchs got out of jail on that one tonight, self destruct Lions,Bates is liability on a bike, and why they took out Douglas and left Bates on Scott’s tac sub is a mystery to me.Still can only blame themselves for defeat. Not a great match but Heeps deserves credit for Splitting Nicol’s/ Worrell team ride in heat 13.Scott was sheer class.
  13. These scenarios are bein create by the riders just using and abusing any clubs that they can get a meeting from.GB is low on their priority. Its not the riders fault but the failure of BSpA to address the rider problems being created.Any rider that can’t commit to GB fixtures should be told where to go IMO.Every season SAME PROBLEMS.
  14. It’s just another unlucky coincidence, rain offs ,sun offs, hose pipe offs, rider missing offs, nothing new..Next it will be missing fans offs.
  15. Majority of the high end riders are riding. 2-3 times a week all over the place ,only interested in raking cash as that’s their full time job for 6 months. Many of them certainly ride as though it’s just another day and another dollar IMO.
  16. Crowd Crowds levels at most tracks simply struggle to meet riders wage demandsthesedays, other income is essential. Its not going to end well for a lot of riders .Thats the bottom line IMO
  17. There was always a track spare at a lot of tracks in these early days .I certainly don’t remember riders withdrawing from meeting”quite regular”.Im sure most could also borrow a bike from team mates if desperate. It was also “semi professional in these days at NL league level most riders had other jobs
  18. Riders wages related to crowd levels is a main issue these days IMO
  19. France were a bit unlucky with Berge EF on last bend when in front of Brits
  20. Personally I think the quality of the racing is a big factor whether fans take it or leave it if ,something else crops it probably wins the day now.
  21. I asked because on the heat they showed on video the crowd on 3rd/4th bend looked very sparse.
  22. It’s struggling big time for various reasons which have been discussed endlessly on forums.unfortunately the answer is not if you don’t support it you will lose it (although probably true) which seems the only answer Promoters can come up with.As a professional full time sport in UK it had its day IMO
  23. Think it was a mistake increasing Admission Prices ,lack of regular Sat meetings does not help IMO.
