At least Smoli does his best to Promote the sport in a positive way and seems to able to attract Sponsors and comes across in aProfessional manner.Good luck to him.
Is it not the case that a lot of young British riders do not get a chance because of the senior British riders moaning that they can’t make the sport pay unless the ride in both leagues. Some would ride in all 3 if they were allowed.
Agree,a very positive move by the Promotion.I too hope they get the rewards for their effort. It should definately improve the entertainment on the track.
8 years away from competitive action will be his biggest problem + he is 8 years older ,everybody likes to think they are as fit as they were in body and mind.
No disrespect to Jason, but with 8pts+ to play with it shows how dire the sport has become in GB top level when they cant get some decent European or Scandinavian talent to race in UK.It will certainly be interesting to see how he fares.
Jason won’t see which way Nicki went IMO.Still if Ipswich are stumping up good money to subsidise his Euro jaunt with his son(who is going places in his sport) why turn it down.Good luck to him though. One of the greats of the sport.
He broke his leg in 2012 which set him back a bit ,to say he was going nowhere is a it harsh. He is a decent heat leader in any Team.If I remember Berwick had a chance of getting him after his 1st broken leg on a3 pt av, but never took it.
While they were in the same Team ,Sam Jensen rode at No 4 in all his matches Bickley never got out of reserve ,Nicol has a higher average than both of them so will have to ride at 2 or 4. Jensen is replacing Bickley at reserve is my point. On what I saw last season that is a big +.
Technically your are replacing Bickley with Sam Jensen at reserve.Thats a big difference .IMO .Nicol is replacing the No 2 or 4 slot.Wells had a bad season for various reasons still managed a decent average though ,can see him as a good signing.
