Catch 22 situation with track covers ,hampers track prep if put down, if it’s raining at start time riders won’t entertain it.Is it worth the bother.!!
Bickley scored vital points but the only opposition riders he beat were their reserves.Bailey was more competitive and replaced Andersen in the only real change that could be made and that was against Morris and Covatti.Would have made no difference IMO
Some cracking heats in a very good match,Anders Rowe was man of the match for me, very impressive performance.Match in the balance IMO.Tigers slight favourites if reserves can get a few points.
ps
Though Rory got 2nd in that tight finish with the 2 Tigers!
I find it interesting, giving what I witnessed at the Stadium.I don’t doubt that the Ref called it off though. Water under the bridge now.Cant make up my mind whether to bother turning up tomorrow given what I witnessed last week and I’m sure a few others might have the same thoughts.
Personally don’t think the shower hit Ashfield, we came through it at Euro central ,the streets in Possil were bone dry and no puddles in road when we arrived at 6.10.and blue sky.Bottom line though match was off.Hey Ho, nothing new these days.
Very difficult to understand why they could not have bladed the track in the 1.1/2 hours before the meeting was due to start. No effort to do anything doesn’t sit well with me.Certainly it was not flooded and did not look like it was going to rain.Scunthorpe scenario springs to mind.Having watched the Newcastle match a couple of weeks ago, something doesn’t add up.History now though.Another nail for the sport though.
