Liked the Steve McDermott interview, he had a very laid back attitude and knew what he was doing regarding earning a living from the sport while still working at the same time planning his future( a few today need to adopt that way of life).He was a class act with a great style and very underrated.IMO. Friendly and a great servant loyal to Berwick and certainly seemed to enjoy his speedway.Obviously enjoying life which is great to see.

agree give then all a few laps to turn the dirt over ,some wouldn’t want to dirty their gear though.No fans so unless there was a curfew why not ! Technology rules the sport and they don’t want to sort it out like all other forms of motorbike sports have done

It’s clearly not working in UK though.As for moving away into a younger fan base it’s clearly not being able to attract them in UK.IMO.Polish Speedway is a good spectacle. IMO

If the meeting starts Premier Sport will show ,they tend to fill in with sporting clips rather than looking at track prep.

Agree with the blink first comment ,and it shows up more at top level.Cook was the same when the going got tough.The skills required to manoeuvre the bike in tight situations ,only the very Top men have them.Cook is fast but he is very rigid in style ,whereas Woofy , Smarzlik And the top men have superb handling skills.

Would like to see him do well ,but you can’t give these guys a start,and you can’t give an inch on the 1st lap.Very hard racing for 4 laps ,look at Chugunov he is right in among them.Dan needs the same attitude.He has had some nasty injuries though and that might play on his mind.

Trouble being you don’t get 1/2 season to get going ,you get Half a meeting.
