  1. If you look back to when Glasgow announced it,I said I thought it was the right decision then on this forum.!That is why I replied to your post regarding hindsight.
  2. Junior and young riders will still practice to try to improve IMO.
  3. Godfrey doesn’t come across to well on the latest interview. His Scunthorpe track will be making good money on the track days and Practice Sessions no doubt.
  4. Promotions are skint ,don’t have cash flow, spare cash for PPE requirements, most don’t own stadiums, and the greyhound situation will not help in a few cases,That’s only my opinion though.
  5. I think they should run the GP if they are going to get the 8 rounds they were anticipating ,but there again if they get a positive test during season it puts a whole new different complexion on it.Difficult one IMO. Think it as the right decision to cancel British season,as most Promotion don’t have the back up finances to cope with reduced crowds or the measures which might mean more expense.
  6. I really think there is more to it than that don’t you.!
  7. Don’t think there was a lot of hindsight involved, when Glasgow pulled out and gave their reasons it sounded justified to me(possibly a few others). The pandemic was not yet at its peak and people were being told lockdown would last till at least end July beginning of August. There decision was justified IMO.Given the crowd situation that had been mentioned and the average age of speedway supporters. To be honest would you fancy travelling and standing at aSpeedway Match in Oct/ Nov if they had got something set- up.
  8. The shrewd and sensible Promoters can see that it’s a big gamble to run any meeting that they have to fork out points money IMO.
  9. Spoilsport, what will Col69 talk about now.
  10. Let’s face it nobody can really work out the logic in all this, but Speedway without normal attendances was never going to be viable, the Glasgow Promotion worked that out long before the rest, which tells me something, they’re smarter.!!
  11. I am not an expert, but when the government Said 3 weeks ago that people would not be allowed into Stadiums till October You don’t have to be a genius to think there would not be League Speedway, and after all it is a forum for discussions.
  12. It very difficult to see the logic in some of the lockdown scenarios, and to what will be the requirements will have to be in place should Clubs want to run a few meetings, obviously this will become clearer nearer the deadlines.
  13. I read that in Sweden the lower league crowd limit was 50 , in one match only 48 turned up
  14. Like you say, like him or loathe him he has been box Office for a great number of years.
  15. Can be a tad wet anytime In Manchester
  16. Thanks, when Jacek rode for Berwick, Krystian was with him in the pits a lot of the times, just a young boy then.So sad he was killed, looked as if he would go far in the sport.
  17. Where does D Rempala fit in on the Rempala speedway family?
  18. Nicki will have no problem with 95% of Premier League on the form he is showing.(if track conditions are perfect)
  19. It is if it is required before ANY meeting can take, don’t think it is cheap.Like you say Oct is too late
  20. I would dispute that remark , Speedway in Poland is not semi professional If you are good enough to get to the top.!
  21. That’s what I was thinking, it’s costing the Football Clubs a fair bit of cash,Next year I reckon for Speedway.
  22. They probably don’t know about this virus Yet
  23. That’s got nothing to do with riders and officials testing though. In Poland riders and officials are tested and its limited attendance there.!
