Fail to see what Mike Hiftle has got to do with this thread.Just a bit of a stir I assume.

While this is about British Youth signing up in Poland and I wish them well,but unless they are getting a decent retaining fee I fail to see how they will get enough chances to ride and make money given the number of youngsters in Poland.Like has been pointed out British riders at a much higher level have failed to “ cut the mustard” at Polish level.

Not sure about Poland but he rode in Germany in League when he was 15.

Not a lot of difference from GB then,if that’s your opinion of what you are watching.

Does it really matter who wins league but I’m sure every fan would be happy for their Team to be Champs.It’s not Lesno’s fault that other Teams can’t match them.I enjoy Polish speedway but don’t mind who wins.

Was a exciting talent at one time ,think his lack of Professionalism was his let down.

Sadly We don’t have the leadership at theTop of the Sport to Govern these things like Spending Costs and Riders Pay.IMO

If it was MY opinion you could knock it all you want ,but when the people like Godfrey give these kind of thoughts it doesn’t give much hope for thE Sport.

They may ,but they can’t make teams sign riders they can’t agree Terms with.They could ban all Foreigners then watch all hell let loose!!! They couldn’t run a raffle.IMO .It’s all about self interest.

Have to agree,it’s a bit of a silly statement from Godfrey.He has no control over Clubs terms and conditions regarding signing riders.Riders averages would also have to be taken into consideration.Just a nonsense statement.

Wroclaw looked good on paper last year ,but failed on track.We just have to wait and see.

GB need to offer better pay rates which is not possible due to the state of the sport here, no forward thinking in the last 20 years from Promoters here.Silly money and silly rules have driven many fans away so family ties with the sport have been lost and not been able to attract a new younger fan base.When cameras pan the the crowds in Poland they have a very healthy young fan base .The bubble May burst in Poland regarding pay rates but don’t think it will harm the sport in the same way as has happened over here.

One thing for sure the riders will “ follow the money” can’t really blame them.

GB had their chance to monopolise the sport years ago but got complacent,hence the position they are in now within the Sport.Can’t blame the Poles for that.

Scientists change their mind quicker than the wind ,nobody knows what the real story is.Godfrey is just getting hopes up.Would like to think everything would be BACK TO NORMAL but certainly wouldn’t bank on it.
