Reading the Berwick Website +fixture list it states that Fans will be able to attend Individual fixtures on double - header nights, with a discount if you want to attend both matches. That’s a fair enough option IMO.

I have a number of Programmes from Rhodesia Speedway Meetings I will look them out and put some names up.

Think Alex Hughson is there with Monarchs race jacket
-
I’ve not talked with many fans who particularly like double headers. It’s a risky strategy .IMO.

Have to agree 30 heats won’t need many ‘ incidents’ not to go the distance at places like Berwick with a curfew, given that 15 of them are less experienced riders learning their trade. Fine for die-hards but might not be attractive to new supporters.Hope things go well for the Clubs running these double - headers though.
-
Tend to agree, would have thought the NDL would have been more viable money wise as a stand alone meetings ,but thePromotion must have their reasons for doubling up.Hope it works out for them.Don’t think the NDL as a double header is as attractive as aChampionship double header.Maybe the later start to the season comes into the equation.
-
Don’t think double headers are a great Idea, but that’s just my opinion.Pricing it to suit might be an issue crowd wise.
-
You would like to think so.

The next 6 weeks till the end of April will determine a lot of things.Business is not even being allowed to open till then in Scotland and even that is not a guarantee.Sport is well down the line.
-
Forgetting the Political angle, will Clubs run without Crowds.Everything is still unclear on that front.Personally I don’t think so.
-
She just have to different.
-
Does anybody think any track will run without spectators,I don’t think they will.Scotland seems to be taking a different approach at present.Wait and see what decision they make on the Football.IMO

Agree a more realistic assessment is needed,a decent career in Uk should be the big aim for most of the youngsters.World Stage is a different ball game for the majority. One of the difficulties is the drop in standard of GB speedway it’s a small stepping stone to reach the Top compared to the past.Top Brits in previous era were guaranteed rides abroad, that is not the case nowadays. -
She should be gone by now ,but her neck is made of Brass. Not just on the Salmon affair. She is more and more acting like a dictator.

I back the young Brits 100%,trouble is the sport has nosedived in GB over the last 10-15 years and these riders have trouble getting serious sponsors nowadays and the way the sport has developed technically you need to invested fairly large sums of cash to compete at Top level. We still have situation where after a few years in the sport most youngsters settle for earning decent money in GB ( doubling up ect). These days maybe numbered given the recent Pandemic.World Class is very difficult to achieve in any Sport. -

It is a forum therefore it’s about opinions negative or positive. Most posters have wished them well.Let’s face young Brits over the last 20 years have not set the World alight for a variety of reasons which is what was being discussed.Young Poles ,Aussies and Danes have shown how to do it IMO.(this comparing young riders in general). -

Robert is getting there ,he got his GP slot through a easier route though.( well deserved).he has had previous experience in GP so it will be interesting to see how he performs this year. Many Top riders have failed in the real GP qualifiers throughout the years. You need the bit of luck in this sport. -

That was in the days when the majority of the Top riders in the World rode in GB,it’s a very different scenario nowadays.Basically the way the to the top is getting into Poland but you have to perform from the day you arrive ,irrespective of what league and level it is.It’s going to be a long road to the top for British youngsters ,but Tai has proved it can be done if your good enough.Good Luck to them all. -
Sturgeon is losing plot just to be different,Best thing that could happen is Boris to announced a Sept start up and Sturgeon would probably change her timing to April

It’s a very small percentage in any sport that become” World Class”.Most lifelong supporters will have seen dozens of youngsters who they though were going to be the “real deal” very few will have made it to the Top in GB never mind the World as the record books show. The current crop have adopted a more Professional approach but you still have to produce on the big stage and they are along way off that.IMO.Can only wish them all the best.
