Don’t know how you think that is the case.The whole League structure needs a rethink.It won’t happen though and it is not the Championship Clubs that are the problem IMO.

The only reason I would go to a GP is to see the best riders in the World giving their all on decent track.That doesn’t happen at Cardiff. Let’s be honest it’s a ritual and a social week end for the majority of the GB fans.The spectacle on TV doesn’t do the sport any favours when the track is so poor.

Don’t think the Poole Promotion are telling anybody how to run their Club.Just opinions on this forum.Knock then all you want but they are one of the few Clubs that crowd level are decent.They attract decent sponsors and doing things right on the track.You Promoter saying in the Star this week that it’s costing him £10,000 a fortnight,how long can that go on for.Most Championship Clubs are running that level due to the supporters propping them up.

Sad news,was a great Team man and rider in his day.Lucky enough to have seen him ride in the 60’s. RIP. Eric.

Not entirely true either because the riders aren’t available a lot of the time.Lot of them still involved in lower leagues in Poland.It’s not unknown for Clubs to use guests though in GB.

We have no fixtures due the decline of Clubs in GB.That’s not going to turn round any time soon. 1 League with riders who are available and committed to GB speedway( although it would probably mean a lower standard to begin with would be a starter) but we know that will never happen.So we will just muddle along.
