  1. I agree with a lot your saying, but the crux of the issue on Sunday was in doubt and a bit dubious.IMO.History now though, but did it do the sport any favours.
  2. The whole situation regarding wet tracks and speedway is completely out of hand. The Refs have no control,it’s simply Health and and Safety rules. We have situations like “ it’s rideable not raceable” were thinking of the fans, that’s a lot of “bullsh#t.The riders know the meeting will have to be re-run. In Testimonials and Open Meetings they are willing to ride round on tracks that’s not raceable just too collect the money knowing it will probably NOT be re-run. Speedway is a dangerous sport whether the track is wet or dry. Excuses not to ride are running out weather or track used all the time.Fans are getting fed up .IMO. The fans that say we want see decent racing usually get “Gate And Go “racing in UK,on dry tracks and covered in dust, but Hey the riders are Happy. PS The throttle works both ways, that doesn’t seem to be the case nowadays though.
  3. It might well be.It was certainly rideable on Sunday so can’t see why riders will change there stance if you are correct about the track.
  4. You certainly seem to dislike Brennan to say he does not have the ability yet is total nonsense.
  5. Better hope long range Weather Forecast is not correct. It’s pretty dire for Friday and certainly mixed for Sat.
  6. Probably better to leave it empty or demolished it to attract buyers IMO.Always better if no obstacles in the way for potential buyers.
  7. To be fair they probably know It wouldn’t make one bit of difference, just look at the Coventry situation. Also the sport isn’t exactly thriving here.
  8. Think we all know there is not going to be speedway at the Abbey Stadium
  9. Give it a rest, you can’t change the starting time every couple of days because of a changing weather forecast.Scotland is notorious for its localised weather pattern because of the nature of the terrain.
  10. Thought the crowd was decent considering weather forecast and BSN.I was mug enough to want to see some live action ,unfortunately.Like I said on previous Post live streaming will end up killing the Sport. Track was dry and pretty slick to start with IMo.
  11. That’s how it always been, the Refs would be just as well packing up and going home rather than a waste of time via the Pits.
  12. Because they called the Ref to the Pits.I actually listened to Danny King and Poole Management talking to the Ref who had obviously had already decided to abandon the meeting at that point and he’s was making it quite clear they were wanting ride ( to what point we don’t know)and accused the Ref making a big mistake favouring the opposition who were the home Team.Brennan may be the Captain but he certainly under pressure from certain others.
  13. It was “ political “ .The Ref’s never make the decision of their own back.Plenty have seem tracks worse at the start of meeting with track watering alone.Poor show all round.Enough said for me,just very frustrated with the sport these days ,to many excuses for cancellations you can’t plan anything ,attending speedway will slip further down the list for me.
  14. You weren’t there then, the Tractor was on the track after the rain delay as requested by the riders. Then announced that the meeting was going to continue. There was then One heat when Starke slid of then it all kicked off again.
  15. Think they are going to book a hotel for the week for the riders in Nov and run heats each day between showers.Hope the are not many tape breaking incidents though.
  16. Possibly! At least they are refunding the Cash paying supporters who don’t want rain off tickets to their credit.
