  1. Can you compare someone’s State Pension to the pay of a working Adult though.
  2. There were so many Teams in the League in these days you are talking about they had to run Weekly Fixtures, that’s the difference.
  3. I do agree that the NDL is needed, but is it financially viable at some Clubs.I don’t know ,but some of the attendances have been poor in matches I have seen.Don’t know the pay rates though or the sponsorship.
  4. Ask the Promoter at Buxton I’m sure she could tell what they were doing wrong.A Club run in the manor the why the league was formed, until winning meant everything to some Clubs and started paying money some could not afford.Ironically most hav3 folded
  5. They won’t have ,he’s a National Hero in Cornwall.!!
  6. Noticed a couple of weeks ago they had changed the packaging to paper instead of the plastic covering.Just had avery wet and soggy Magazine delivery most pages stuck together. If this is going to happen all through the Winter months there are going to be a lot of Complaints.(I will be the 1st). ps The Brown envelopes were much more substantial in wet weather. These present paper ones are cheap and nasty.
  7. The NDL is not really paying its way IMO.Too much money being given to riders who should really be up a level.Proper 2nd half’s for Young up and coming riders or riders new to the sport, giving them points money to keep them in the sport. It would be intersting to see what Clubs broke even on NDL league, not counting the stand alone Clubs.I admire the Clubs for trying to develop young talent but how is it working out for them financially.
  8. Only because it could be an elongated fixture list with rider availability (as usual).
  9. Agree,it’s an unfair fixture list for some Teams.
  10. I’m the other way round, don’t like double headers I’m afraid.
  11. You certainly don’t work around speedway fixtures nowadays ,which I always done for many years. Now if I get told of something else just don’t bother.Iknow a few die hard who do the same, speedway has moved down the list.
  12. It’s hard to get your head round what really goes on at these meetings they have, they agree 1 thing in principle then scrap it when they all get together.Does that just mean throughout the season not ALL club are part of the meetings.
  13. The days of a weekly fix of Speedway are dwindling away,I fear that will have knock on effect with the fans.
  14. The point limit is still 40 so don’t see any reason why.Don’t think Bomber was coming to Berwick anyway this season.Too many week end commitments.Mid week track solves that for him.
  15. They haven’t any idea what they are doing again ,some Clubs seem to get what THEY want. That’s Speedway though.Just fumbling on.
  16. Will suit some Clubs more than others.Clubs with aNDL Team can fill in fixture blanks. Not sure if it viable for some though.Crowds not that great.
  17. Think the big News has to be the use of Transponders. The rest seems a bit of a shambles.!!!
  18. Many riders give up the ghost after a couple of laps and just settle for what they have,it just they make it look good.Explain how a rider can win a race then in his next outing can be the length of the straight behind when the race is won in the same time as his with no obvious reason. That’s speedway though, they are not going to thrash their engine if they are getting beat. You would expect them to be a bit closer on race time.
  19. They never learn, bringing back riders who are bankrupting the sport over here.
  20. He’s been in trouble many times in the last few years.Very talented but went of the rails I’m afraid.
  21. That’s a good question.I’m starting to question myself on that one.
  22. Compared to the Jubilee Trophy, it’s nothing to worry about.!!
