That’s speedway riders for you unless they getting paid over the odds or a guarantee they are not interested these days.They must be getting good money for a 6 month job.The second strings complain there is not enough meetings to make it pay.Happy days.

The National League was the lower league when Mike Lee started but it certainly was very high standard .It was not junior riders as the NDL is today.Like you saying Ashton although new to speedway certainly knows how to ride a motorbike.In Lee ‘s day most of the youngsters from the Grasstrack scene.

Hackney in the then lower league in these days was probably harder than todays Premiership.IMO

We are talking about young riders though,he’s been on a motorcycle from a young age as had many of the others.

Like yourself I have seen plenty 15/16 year old wonders come and go.I wish him well and have no doubt he is a talent.Micheal Lee was the best 15 year old I had ever seen who along with PC and Loram were instant successes at a high level.By coincidence they all went on to be World Champs.

While I don’t want to get involved in your play off final don’t think Wright caused the Lawson crash.IMO Lawson lost it on the inside of 1st bend and lurched across closed the gap between Wright and Kerr.Wright didn’t do too much wrong coming out bend and Kerr got squeezed because of Lawson.IMO

Great to see positive vibes for 2024 after such a torrid season on track in 2023.

Decent meeting some great racing.50/50 call for me in the final,don’t think Wright could have too much complaint if he was excluded.

He been very good all season,thought there was a bit of controversy regarding his engines earlier in the season but not much more was said about.

I’ve asked before,is he related to the engine tuner Kowalski.He is lightning from the starts.

We are very unlucky ,as season after season we have the knack of picking riders who keep getting injured.
