Weekly Speedway is a good reason for 3 leagues but a couple of rain offs and they will be in trouble with re - staging given riders availability these days.Bold Move.IMO.

The need for 1 league has been clear for years.It’s just some promoters don’t want too share their cut of the money involved.

It doesn’t count overall though,you just have to make semi to keep yourself in with a chance of getting to Final which is what matter regarding title.Maybe making every point count and just giving a few bonus points for Final would keep more riders in the running though.

Like you say lowering the standard doesn’t really help things,especially if admission prices stay the same( suppose you could use inflation as the excuse).It creates the same problem as before where middle order riders cost more as they are more sought after,keeping the wage bill high.

I agree he probably still win.He is comfort mode most of the meeting with present point scoring system though.Every point should count IMO
