Hi Jeffster. It's new competition, UEM is staging it for the first time this year. There are two semifinals : first one is today in Terenzano (Italy) and the other one is tomorrow in Lvov (Ukraine) with Russia, Croatia, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Latvia and Ukraine. The final will be staged in Debrecen (Hungary) on September 12th. They are using 7 team format. Each team consists of two riders plus reserve. Best 3 teams from each semifinal will progress to the final.

Tom as I understand Hampel has a broken collarbone and will be out for at least 2 to 3 weeks.
