You have to let people that pay to watch (supporters/customers) think that they matter even if you believe that they don't. They want to be involved and feel that they are a part of the Club. Communication is critically important in this. The way things have gone over the last couple of years is the reason I no longer visit the AFA. I can find better places to spend my hard-earned where it is clearly more appreciated. It is obvious that Star Lady knows what she is talking about and has her fair share of common sense. Why not ask her to assist with promoting and marketing? Would she be interested?

I have just spent half an hour of my life (which I will never get back) reading the last few pages of this thread. It is to be regarded as either hilarious or very sad, depending on your viewpoint. It does, however, provide me with refreshing reassurance that the decision I took some time ago to spend no more dosh on attending meetings was the correct one. The sport in this country is a joke. I have heard it said that it is run by crooks for crooks. How many teams remain in the ultra-competitive Elite League? Why do so many top riders turn their backs on this country. You really do not need to be a genius to know why!

I have no desire to be there to watch a heat leader riding round at the back and making little or no effort. I am staying at home and getting more excitement by watching the grass grow.

This team needs a major overhaul. It is not the first time this season that we have seen a collapse towards the end of a meeting. On this occasion 36-36 with the final three heats resulting in 14-3 !! The motivational skills of the management and the desire of the riders have to be questioned. It will need a major improvement before any more of my hard-earned heads in the direction of the AFA.
