In the UK absolutely nothing Jacques, it is fine. IN America it contains one of the banned ones but I couldnt tell you offhand what it is as I cant remember - maybe I need some myself lol. A lot of diruretics also include things in very small quantities that would be 'banned' but the quantity is not the issue, its the fact the substance is there. I know I am not putting myself across very well here, cant quite put into words what I mean - I am not saying he isnt guilty, just that they need to know where it came from before becoming judge jury and executioner

Sorry screm but you are wrong. Im not saying it is the case here but it IS possible he could have taken it innocently and they have to make sure that its not been a genuine mistake. Looking for a simpler example, do you suffer from hayfever? Hayfever sufferers often take some form of antihystamine that can be bought over the counter. What a lot of people probably dont realise is some brands include a compound that includes a 'banned' substance under FIM rules whilst other brands do not. If they have checked that its okay to take antihystamine in general and been told yes is it reasonable to know that there are a couple of brands out there that the 'yes' does not apply to? IF Dudek has knowingly taken a banned substance then yes, throw the book and anything else you want. But until they identify exactly what he took it in then its wrong to label him

the problem is that it IS possible to have products within things that are not readily identified and yes there can be 'innocent' ingenstion. As Alain Baxter found out - Vicks in America has different ingredients from Vicks in the UK and that was how he was caught out. They decided ignorance was not an excuse and he lost his Olympic medal (something I always felt was unfair tbh as I felt he had a legitimate case) Methylhexanamine as Ive already said is in a lot of dietary supplements. If it is listed as a banned substance it is easy to look at the ingredients and say 'yip, theres that nasty methylhexanamine, I wont take it. However what would you think if you saw geranium extract? Sounds innocent enough, I bet most would think that must be a natural product and ok. They'd be wrong as geranium extract and methylhexanamine are the same thing. I've had to learn a lot of these things and it is not as easy as you think to pick out things to avoid. A lot will depend on identifying what the methylhexanamine was in.

The Dudek case is from before my time but that is a substance in those days it was probably very easy to take without knowing as it used to be in many nasal decongestants, I think even the popular ones like Vicks had it at one time but probably the 80's and 90's. Its partly diuretic (that'll make you 'go' quicker! lol) and in a lot of faddy dietry supplements although medical opinion suggests it could damage kidneys and liver and is a definite NO NO for people with irregular heartbeat (AF). So we ALL know that he is not a 7 point rider, we all knew that before he came over, we all knew he wasnt a no 1, most of us have the brain function to realise that he is a young lad starting out. Like many before him he has been brought over to get an average with a long term view, its not his fault incompetance in Glasgows team building management left him at no 1 on 7 points assessed. SO after a couple of meetings you decide to label him 'pony' yet you dont even know for example is he off the pace? does he have a good riding style? does he look as if he has raw talent? Want to tell me what Josh Grajczoneks first 3 scores were even riding further down the order? Or any of a few dozen other riders in the last few years who have come across on an assessed average. Come to that Aaron Fox for Edinburgh this season? You are unrealistic and for a comment to have any real bearing it has to be based on substantiated fact and frankly it seems to come off the back of a bandwagon.

My understanding is the 'customer' always has the final say and that the webmaster has to abide by what he is told to put on for an official site

All I am saying is that its normal that the official line is what a websmaster on an official site has to put on - perhaps you should be looking to who told him to put it on for the bias

in fairness doing an official website usually means you are only allowed to put on what you are officially told to. Basically almost a glorified typist with IT skills really. SO its not really fair to blame an official webmaster for whats on site - blame who tells him/her to put it there

Sorry to disappoint you but Im not the argumentative type. I make a comment and you quote it and then make the comment about some people thinking everything is okay in BSI world in a sarcastic manner - you can hardly blame me for making, as you call it, 'that leap'! We will just have to agree to disagree on when the dirty linen should come out. Personally I think for one of the official organisations to come out with anything prior to CONCLUSIVE FINAL findings would be completely wrong and unprofessional and cause even more damage. If you take him for what he is and not for the unrealisitic position Glasgow's situation/promotion have thrust him into he is imo doing well. He has never ever looked off the pace, tries hard and is learning from others. For a reserve - which is what he should be - in his first few meetings in the PL to be the only rider to lower Kurtz's colours (albeit with Rusty's help) I reckon is pretty decent going

You seem to think that anyone who thinks anything different from you is a BSI sympathiser - need to loose a chip or two there. Look on it like a case going to court - you wouldnt expect the judge to tell you before the evidence is heard what the verdict will be. Any regulatory body should go through the correct procedures and whether it fits other peoples agenda's or not, that includes not washing the dirty linen in public before its been taken to the laundry

Which in my opinion is correct as they have not as yet gone through the entire investigation stage

whats really sad about all the Darcy Ward stuff is that KK went out and won what from comments appears to have been a decent Grand Prix (I never saw it) and doesnt get a mention. I had to go searching for the result Well done KK

Perfectly true cyclone but when you see the same freeloaders going in week in week out with their mates and know fine well they dont fall into that category it is hard to swallow. Especially when they have been known to post 'I once did such and such.... so why should I pay....' I wish I had known! It would have been nice to see him again. I was at my usual bit, just me and Davey there today. Hope he's well Im sure you will have treated him to your usual hospitality! No harm in it but I refer the honorable gentleman to my first reply about this on page 5....
