I don't think that we were suggesting that we should still play these tracks we were replying to the post asking us what our memories were of the music we remembered from when we first attended speedway.
The Swindon Robins have been unable to compete at their previous home, Abbey Stadium, since 2020 due to financial issues. ??????
what were the "financial issues" was it, the land was worth more with houses on it ?
I expect the next stage or part of the con is to make people believe that Speedway will happen at the new site so it's allows the Abbey to be built on before finding problems to stop them building this new track and Stadium .it's hardly a new plan from gaming..The bit that's makes me laugh is why and how would gaming fund this? At the end of the day they went to the Brandon enquiry saying that a similar project was not viable but now somehow this is.. The only hope for this is that Gaming have promise funds to Terry for this project for his help in letting them built on the Abbey site.No matter if the new site is built I won't be going or giving any money to Osbourne or Russell. They are a pair of scumbags.
Just been looking at all the team line ups and if there's one side I had to miss out on watching it would defo be Leicester. Just my opinion of course, but it just looks a very steady eddie type of side with not much excitement thrown in. Rather bland if I'm being honest.
I’ve owned bars for over a quarter of a century and the reason they lasted so long was the constant influx of new staff and their musical tastes.
some of the suggestions on here are 50+ years old …. And then people wonder why the new fans aren’t flocking in droves through the turnstiles.
Wasn't that more to do with their dad doing both their bikes so needed to be in the same team? Not such a problem now as one of them (Joe?) has his own mechanic now.
I have vivid memories of the first Speedway meetings I can recall being at, and that includes the music on the annoy at Lynn between races. Two particular songs I can remember hearing were IOU by Freez and Self Control by Laura Branigan, and putting that alongside some riders I can remember means my earliest memories were probably 1983. Can certainly remember Ole Olsen and that was his last season.
Without the music it would have been difficult to know!
I thought 24 year old Clarke Osbourne was the office boy @ Bristol in 1977?
May be he would also like to tell us how he "took control" of Torquay United F.C. & was so successful!
I think it's fare to say Mr Osbourne sees 95% of us as gullible fools.
