  1. Cameraman misses the action... again!

  2. It has been on a downward spiral since Sky paid up to get out of the contact early, BT Sport... and finally the indignity of Eurosport! Now we're faced with the prospect of Eurosport production at TNT prices. IMO it is still a product that is ideally suited to TV but lacks any innovation or in depth coverage because it's basically produced by work experience kids (and that's being kind)

  4. Over the years Speedway has been transfered from one channel to the next & if you want to watch you need to pay the subscription. I only got Sky sports for the Speedway & once they stopped covering it I stopped paying for sky. In the early stages I felt that our sport was made for TV but now I feel it is so drawn out to suit a 2.5 hour time slot it has lost the meaning of "Speed". I'm sure we all remember the second half races that there is seldom time for at todays events. I don't think TV is helping Speedway at this point & now having to chase after a different channel again. The SGP is good but I can do without the domestic racing I'd rather go along to a track & watch from the terrace & believe my money is going into a speedway club

  5. Standing on the back straight, I have to agree that the lighting is far from ideal but I think that 1 thing that could be done to establish who some of the riders are is to reinstate the black & yellow helmet colour instead of the plain yellow, which under poor lighting, can often be mistaken for white, particularly if the rider has a very light yellow helmet colour. Problem is, I suppose that this would have to be adopted by every team in the country.

  7. I have no way of knowing what any rider asks for, I can only assume a Champ standard rider wouldn't make himself unemployable at Champ level if he wants to ride in the Champ. I can only comment on what happened, when Leicester moved up a league, no one signed Dan T, despite his potential. To bring it back to Glasgow 2025, I think Tigers will be very happy with their new signing.

  9. Not at the start of the season - when nobody wanted him. Not mid season - when Birmingham signed them dropped him. At the end of the season - yes Plymouth realised he was good.

  11. I'm not convinced. Ipswich have good owners and manager. Belle Vue have good owners and a questionable manager and Sheffield have a supportive owners and a poor manager. I am yet to be convinced Simon is tactically astute as other managers, in fact i am not even sure he knows the rules at times.

  13. Sounds almost as good as the Reading "Racino" and the "Greatest Speedway Stadium of the modern era at Bristol"* * copyright Clark Osborne Of course, once the Abbey Stadium is finally demolished, it will be discovered that this new site is the home of a rare species of squirrel which can't be disturbed, and sadly the new stadium can't be built..
