  1. As part of my own Teams and Fixtures blog which I make up each winter, I've put together a colour coded page which lists all fixtures across Continental Europe for 2025. Leagues covered are: All 3 Polish divisions Swedish Bauhaus Ligan Danish SpeedwayLigaen Additionally, all SGP, SEC, qualifiers, National Finals etc are also listed. Hopefully it helps you if you have any planning for meetings over the upcoming summer! Also, do click the individual links on the right hand side for information on all squads and other assorted things... https://speedwayteams2025.blogspot.com/p/calendar-of-meetings-in-2025.html

  2. I guess you do but I've always been of the mind that if you are going up to the limit for the sake of it and shoe horning in an unsuitable rider or submitting to somebody asking ridiculous money then it can be a fools errand. Voulas and Jeppesen potentially have serious improvement in them, to leave one of them out for someone who has a higher average but not much else going for them in comparison would be silly IMO. Getting the right blend of riders is more important.

  3. There is a podcast dedicated to the Young Stars coming out soon (hopefully tomorrow). It features Jason Pipe, Jody Scott, Cooper Rushen and Calum Mitchell. Race nights were mentioned and likely to be a Wednesday on weeks when the Stars don’t have a home meeting. All fixtures subject to final confirmation but Young Stars likely to start away at Birmingham mid-April.

  4. I think the Birmingham promotion should be commended for their efforts to build a competitive team which I think they have. Obviously the team is probably quite expensive to put together and deserve to be supported and not written off before a wheel has turned.

  5. i suspect they tried every realistic option what is encouraging is that they are trying something different ie not worral sedge or kerr

  6. I always thought it was Ernie who drove the fastest milk cart

  7. Surely you'd want a team built to the limit, with potential to improve? Mind you, if Birmingham had 7 points left, signing a 7 points rider who you expect to drop a point, is still better than a 4 point rider you think can put a point on their average.

  8. Not at all, Belle Vue may have a list of 10 riders they thought had potential for their 2025 team, can't sign them all. Doesn't mean they don't rate the ones not picked i.e Vuolas.

  9. But if you don't turn up and put your money into the coffers, how do you expect them to build a team that won't be cannon fodder the following season ?

  10. Agree to much fuss about Teams building to limit for the sake of it,it’s the potential that counts.

  13. Not unless 10.2.2 is rewritten. Otherwise is absolutely certain he will be 8.00 "Any rider who has been a GP rider for two consecutive seasons within the last five" => 8.00.

  15. From the lyrics of Ernie by Benny Hill Poor Ernie (Ernie) And he drove the fastest milkcart in the west One lunchtime Ted saw Ernie's horse and cart outside her door It drove him mad to find it was still there at half past four And as he leaped down from of his van Hot blood through his veins did course And he went across to Ernie's cart And he didnarf kick his horse Who's name was Trigger (Trigger) And he pulled the fastest milkcart in the west Do not think it would be quite appropriate eh!

  16. Following and attending are two different things for me? I've followed bham since 1971, but haven't attended every match. My point about purchasing a season ticket is ... is it a benefit to the supporter or the club? Im just not prepared to throw £200 plus to 'bulls!t'? I don't trust Rogers ! I'll pick and choose which meetings I attend... Things will also depend on the track... I want entertainment when I go...

  17. agree with @AceBelle bv went with tate instead, realistically they were never signing both doesnt mean voulas hasnt potential but tate has more imo

  19. Emil wasn't a GP rider and he was an 8 for Ipswich so Madsen would be the same.

  21. Assuming the word fan is shorthand for fanatic... I would suggest it does. You're probably more of a follower of Speedway or an occasional attendee than a "fan"

  22. but also if theres a chance you are going to struggle or be cannon fodder why would you commit to going every week doesnt make you any less of a fan if you decide against going to every meeting

  23. I see this sort of comment on various threads during the 'team building' period and I must admit it confuses me to some degree. I assumed that people who bought season tickets were dedicated fans who follow their team through the good times and the bad. As a football season ticket holder, the 'early bird' period is usually immediately after the previous season ends, which is over a month before the transfer window even opens. Most people buying football season tickets have no idea who many of their players will be for the coming season. If you are a supporter, you are a supporter.

  24. I do think that some of you are being a little unfair. Moaned for weeks about not signing the last two riders and when they do,moan about the 2 riders. Some are just looking for negatives and some just want to try and put the club down at every decision . Come on people, a wheel hasn't turned in anger yet, go to the track in March, see what's on offer and comeback here next October, make a complaint then.

  25. I think Birmingham have put a very interesting and cosmopolitan team together and they might just surprise a few people. Hopefully, they can retain all seven riders throughout the full season and they certainly look a much more exciting bunch than last season. Will all the problems Birmingham have recently encountered (finances, crowds, lack of top riders etc), I'd just like to congratulate the management on the team they have ultimately assembled. Good luck and I hope your season is a success!
