Bang on. Its probably the worst idea I have seen in British speedway since that ridiculous British League cup from years ago which only lasted a season. Make more sense if Poole could bolster team with an unattached rider or two . As it stands though, ridiculous. And promoters wonder why fans get fed up and laugh at the sport.

I believe that Poole are trying to use unattached riders for this.

Very good rider on his day, didn't he win the top flight with Peterborough whilst riding at number 1? I remember seeing him at Newport when he first came over with Scunny and he looked the business then, I remember saying he'd be better than Jorgensen who I think came over the same season. Could of gone a lot further if not for injuries. Would still do a job for any side if he stayed fit.

Well at least they are both ex Poole riders.

I dont really know why giving a team a bye is so bad, far more credible than having a team from a lower league in it. As you say it would not happen in football

Not sure any 'new fan' would need any negative explanation from any existing fan? 7 Prem teams plus the Championship Champions - They would surely just be happy and content with 4 cup quarterfinals. As for Poole not wanting Premiership, they've been there, lost money, can't race on their traditional Weds race night and still get healthy Championship attendances with 30% less cost! It's a no brainer a d has been well documented.

Assuming Poole have actually accepted the invitation from the Premiership clubs? How about Laguta or Lindgren and Lambert or Madsen at 6 and 7??😉

Agree 100% pal there a funny breed always wanting to be a big fish in a pond without development of the riders in the league below but also not prepared to be involved in the top league aswell

At least double, and worse --- he'd demand it all in the shape of a huge guarantee per match. Klindt is indeed the ultimate gating tart, but as he usually gates he'll give Plymouth a high-scoring #1 at a reasonable cost.

I don't think the Plymouth track would suit Jack Smith. He had a very brief spell for Plymouth in 2021, failing to score from 3 meetings. If my memory is correct he then wanted to leave. Quick look at his Championship scores at Plymouth: 0 (3) 0 (3) 2+1 (4) 0 (3) If Plymouth are focussing on home wins, I'd go for Ben Trigger. Probably take Jack Smith over Trigger at most other tracks in the league. Another option could be Adam Roynon?

I honestly cannot understand why so many people post on here about late and missing deliveries, IMO it shows a great publication in a very poor light, when the problems are out of the publishers hands.

Since the forum has had it rebranding, I don’t get notifications of if someone has responded,quoted or even like to a post anymore,I have to search through the topic to see if anyone has, have I got something switched off ? You used to get a number the side of the bell to tell you and you could click on it to see the notification but that’s gone now ?
