  1. I honestly cannot understand why so many people post on here about late and missing deliveries, IMO it shows a great publication in a very poor light, when the problems are out of the publishers hands.

  2. Not really. He is younger than me. 🤣🤣

  4. Yeh, he looks like he'll be a good rider for us. Gates well and the little mistake taking the bend too wide was punished by two good riders.

  5. I'm not so sure Klindt would be a good signing, feel sure he'd drop his average, plus doesn't leave a lot for a second reserve, Adam Roynon? I'd suggest MPT & a 6.00 rider would be the better option. Means Cluff starting at reserve (with Fredriksen).

  6. They do now, he’s called Ben Barker! Looking at his photo on the SGB website it would seem his winter fitness regime is dodging salads. Surely has to shift some pudding to be competitive.

  8. Morley, Foord Ablitt and Charlie Wood don't. They'd probably get first dibs on Etherington and add Rhys Naylor and it would form the basis of a decent team

  13. Anyone watching the crump solo classic? Bought it a month ago because I got my dates completely wrong. Shame Tate isn't riding but Bowes looked solid in his first heat. Gated well and had plenty of speed. I'm sure having his own machinery (if he does) and track experience is playing a part.

  14. A decent 3rd place for Jan Kvech at Gillman today. Meeting won by Jack Holder, with his brother Chris 2nd. Decent field with the likes of Fricke, Lidsay, Brennan & Masters also riding in the meeting.

  15. I won't bother in future. I can see why some people leave the forum though.

  16. I liked Jamie well enough as I knew him in his mid teenage years and he was a tidy enough rider at NL level. With Phil Morris in his corner he could have and should have gone on to be a decent PL rider. However at times he would just disappear despite being given several chances to put things right by Tim Stone and Pete Towersey. He was well known as somebody not to cross in the rougher area of Newport I was told by quite a few people and most certainly in the Mallet era stopped the local thugs from raiding the Speedway stadium on at least one occasion A shame he's ended up where he is today but we all have choices to make in life and some seem pulled towards making all the wrong ones.

  17. The only person I would believe here is Andrew. I would bet if there was any truth in it he won't be owed anything now.

  19. away riders can only go with a start up setup . gearing , fuel jets and ignition what they think may be a correct set up .sometime it takes a few races to get it anywhere near good . as for cricket , the guy can only cut the grass and hope the guy upstairs sends no rain and a dull day .

  21. Not bored with constantly winning but must say watched matches at Wimborne Road and it has been not all but some with not much passing so surely if you are seeing something which I assume that you are alluding to home meetings being gate and go why dont the visiting team riders set up their bikes to counteract this if you see it why don't they ? but I suppose I would ask who tells the track curator what surface to prepare ie in cricket green top etc

  24. Would imagine all clubs are running on a limited budget just some more limited than others. One thing I would say that doesn't apply to Andrew is that he is very vocal. A generally unassuming guy who loves Speedway and achieved something worthy of praise. He has done this through sheer hard work and a shrewd business eye which has enabled him to acquire services and materials at a cost that has made the project achievable. He is probably not in a position where he can afford to suffer sizeable financial losses every season. He wants Championship level speedway to be sustainable while supplying the fans with top entertaining racing in the process. The least we can do is support the club.I believe it is a 10 year project so don't understand why you feel it doesn't seem promising after only 2 seasons. At the very worst the future holds NDL racing.

  25. Sad day, really sad. The 3 home wins were as good as atmosphere as I can ever remember at any sports event Ive been to, Bomber in 2007 in particular. With regards to this being 'inevitable' I understand that but why was it ever put on the calendar? Its inexcusable really is. This lot keep making bold promises they do not keep and we now have a series in sub par stadiums with the only 2 riders that have a chance of beating BZ not allowed in the series its been a shambles. The business model is be propped up by Polish money and therefore they dictate what goes on. There will be a minimum 3 permanent Polish riders from 2026 onwards, will be 3-5 Polish GPs minimum, the PMZ will block Artem and Emil ever getting back into the series and unless a very wealthy individual decides they want to stage a GP in another country we will see no new venues. WBD have delivered on pretty much zero that they promised and its not a great surprise as I would assume none of them had even heard of speedway pre 2021...

  26. We’re talking 2025 season here, not beyond. Arch is correct, King is still currently a better rider than Rew. At least here. Let’s see what King, Ellis and Rew average over the course of the season to see if the right decision was made. Time will tell on this one.

  27. The only question mark around the inclusion of King was his fitness. Now it’s been updated he’s had successful surgery and is on course to be 100% fit by March, then he’s absolutely worth his place in the team. One had to go from King, Ellis and Rew, a fit Danny King is better than both of them currently. Some won’t like to admit that, but the stats don’t lie.
