Happy birthday to Dennis McCleary who`s service to Berwick Speedway and Berwick Rangers over the decades has been incredible.6 points

The 1-5 is the best in the league and Freddy Hodder will be one of the better reserves. It's a very scary looking team indeed and it has league champions written all over it. A great team-build by the Tigers this season and if Ashton continues to improve at the rate he is improving then don't be surprised if Glasgow have 5 heat leaders by the time the play-offs come around4 points

It's criminal they don't offer a carrier pigeon option, eh? Decent team. Hope they do well. Good to see Ace has a spot.4 points

Am I ‘ privileged inner circle ‘ as I paid for a ticket to be at the event ? , just like you had the chance too ! Every bears fan that could be bothered to find out knew within an hour , either through direct access to social media or by asking someone who lives in the modern era . Even the 80 year old owners of the club have a mobile phone ! Your on this site so I think your telling a few porkies as you just want to moan.3 points

Would be more than happy with Hook. He looked good when Plymouth came up last season.3 points

Kildemand will be 4.00/4.50 for Oxford. Means the club could go for another top rider.3 points

You’re entitled to your opinion, but we’re going win the league and if you can keep up, we’ll do it again at Wimborne Road.3 points

I agree they could have the best 1-5 in the league, but don't see Hodder being one of the better reserves. Maybe he'll improve, but as things stand Glasgow look to have the weakest reserves in the league. Could still do very well with that top 5 though.2 points

Rowe’s a decent signing for Poole. If you look at his numbers, he did very well for us last season. He definitely found it easier riding at three than five, but his input in the latter parts of the meeting were an improvement on Worrall, I felt. Depending on what Ford and Middleditch spend the remaining points on, you’re guaranteed a play-off spot with this side. Which Lewis Kerr turns up will be a huge factor, in my opinion.2 points

Great evening as already said, Anders was on our table and was great to hear how he is already prepared for 2025 and riding for Poole. Confident he will be end the season as our second HL. I'm sure some exciting news will be coming in the next couple of weeks with the final 2 signings.2 points

I think official club phone apps are long overdue for people who use their phones quite a bit. You could have a buyable digital version of the programme on there with a scorechart which can be filled in on the night and the news / club info that the website has plus extras for those who are prepared to pay for a premium service.2 points

Freddie Hodder won the Stars of Tomorrow competition in September, ahead of competition from the likes of Connor Coles, Jake Mulford, Jody Scott and Acr Pijper. The same Freddie Hodder scored 6+2 while guesting for us at home to Oxford at the tail end of last season. Our top five will throw every single other team in the league around like a wet towel, but make no mistake: the acquisition of Freddie Hodder is a strategic, planned piece of business. The exaggerated focus on our reserves is an attempt to persuade themselves, not us, that everything will be okay.1 point

Wasn't too bad at the track, and it was in very good condition, nice to see Dan riding an upright1 point

Looked very good in his last heat I remember, the track suits his style. Signing too many newcomers doesn't help away from home, more than happy with our reserve paring. Bonus point king for Plymouth, most bonus points in the whole league infact. Including bonus points, he averaged 5.65. (6.26 Home, 5.12 Away) Safer signing than last seasons 4 point rider..1 point

Kent Eagles say as well as trophy the fixture list will be supplemented by a couple of challenges against NDL teams and an individual u19 (according to speedway star)1 point

Kerr has been a solid rider for many years. Too many injuries has held him back but I don’t expect for a second for his average to drop. Rowes a quality signing, possibly the best bargain average signing in the league. If Poole do go safe with Starke and a 2 pointer it’ll still be the strongest 1-7 out of the teams announced so far. And if you add Cairns in to it, I can’t see anyone getting near them in the playoffs1 point

Well I wasn’t at the social event, but it was posted on the Bears facebook page pretty much as soon as it was announced and I posted it on here soon after. So a bit unfair to say it was only the privileged inner circle.1 point

3 Very strong heat leaders home and away for the Bears. If Mulford kicks on then it will be a very strong top 5. Ace should go well at the ECCO arena. Playoffs barring injury for sure.1 point

Awfully quiet at the moment but since last post won £30 on lottery last night paid for a few liquid refreshments and taxi fare. 😁😁1 point

Given the league is weaker again, I think this looks a pretty decent team. Has the benefit of the reserves having actual averages above 3, so can expect points all through the team. Tom Spencer 7.22 Ace Pijper 6.44 Danny Phillips 6.33 Jamie Halder 5.08 Stene Pijper 4.82 Ben Rathbone 3.80 Kai Ward 3.58 Total 37.271 point

You shouldn't need to have to keep up with the rules, when Birmingham announced his signing, should have said what average he was on, same as Oxford with Kildemand. Can't think of any reason why they don't!1 point

Today at northside arena is a season ticket sales day (cash only) also a practice day so get down and buy yourself an early Xmas present 😆 UTC1 point

Not Starke then. It would be no surprise for him to be our second heat leader because Lewis Kerr will drop his average.1 point

He attained that in 2015 for Swindon. His stint at Poole in ‘18 was only 2h 3a so it didn’t affect his old 7.10. He should have really been reassessed in 2020 when we signed him but of course the chance to leave him on his higher 7.10 for us couldn’t be missed by the powers that be. Problem there, as often happens is it then created a problem for Kings Lynn a couple of years on, if they changed that decision it would highlight what they did to The Aces. Bringing things up to date, using an average from 2015 is just daft. Glad we didn’t sign him again this year as he’d probably be an 8.00.1 point

Don't know a great deal about him TBH, I've seen the name on scorecards but not much else. Haven't had time to look any further than Sportwoefakty. He averaged 7.32 in the Polish third tier in 2024. Higher than Worrall, less than Riss.1 point

Why do people keep going on about something someone done almost a decade ago It's almost irrelevant. It's about the here and now .1 point

Bel Vue quoted football prices as a way to justify ridiculous prices for the son. How did that work out. Speedway isn't football. It's a £20 sport including a program. The reason we pay more is because we love it. I just looked at ticket prices for normdl one day cricket at Essex £14 in advance. £17 on the day We all can compare apples and pears!!1 point
