He's gonna say that though isn't he? It's a very generic thing to say when you've signed for a team. He's not gonna say 'despite the team looking sh ite I decided to sign anyway'5 points

I fully get why there's question marks over this side. They've had to slightly weaken over the 2024 side. Belle Vue got lucky with Ipswich losing their top 2 & Woffinden missing for Sheffield. Saying all that, for 2025, they're 2nd to Ipswich on paper. Ipswich are way way clear of every team.3 points

Indeed Blodorn is only 20. Same age as Hagon and younger than Flint and Jenkins. Didn't have the luxury of being a reserve either. How many years has Flint been a RS!!2 points

Bewley - One of two genuine world-class British riders, but the only one riding in Britain. Untouchable in the play-off final. I can see him hitting a 10-point average in 2025. Kurtz - Hard to improve on his 2024 performance, but reaching his peak years now. Loves Belle Vue and good mates with Bewley. Aces fans will be happy with him as skipper again. Lidsey - On a good average due to a mid-season dip in form. But his finish to the season showed he has the potential to push his average further. Cook - Actually outscored his brother on away tracks and has a higher away average. Messed about a bit by Birmingham. If he gets dialled into his new home circuit, he could be quite the find. Blodorn - Had a bit of a flat year last year, which quite a lot of riders experience in their 2nd or 3rd year, before kicking on again. Plenty of talent and potential, and only just out of his teenage years. Zischke - The next big Aussie thing. I rate him very highly Mulford - As good as any RS and will benefit from being in a successful team.2 points

The 3 league rule only lasted one year, Hagon is ineligible because his Champ average is over 4.2 points

If that was the team & Killeen keeps improving, Hook wouldn't be at reserve for long.1 point

Don't know why people still keep harping on about Zach Cook being treated badly last season. Plenty of riders have been unfairly dropped over the last few years in order that their club's can play the numbers game, and although they don't like it, most of these riders just accept it as a hazard of their job. I also thought it was a mistake to let Zach go at the time, but the fact that he came back into the team at a later date and then showed considerable improvement, says it all. He would have been daft to have missed the chance of returning, and would just have been doing himself out of earning more money. Personally, I'd have liked to have him back for 2025, but I wish him well wherever he does go. Just as a matter of interest, which of us would have ditched Milik and retained Pawlicki last season? In hindsight, we would have benefitted by keeping Milik who did at least put some effort into his riding, which is more than can be said about Pawlicki- but by reputation, Pawlicki was and is, a far better option, had we only realised this at the time.1 point

I think we will see riders losing out on development spots, not because they are ready, but because of the points limit. Remember last year, Max Perry was going to be Champ only until they changed the rules.1 point

The 5 rider tie at Cardiff was only a problem due to their stupidity in not taking the head to head results between them. surely after 20 heats they need to classify the riders from 1-16 LC 1 should be 3, 6, 8, 9 LC 2 should be 4, 5, 7, 10 points for 2nd,3rd and 4th in LC semiās will be done on higher ranking after 20 heats( if both finish race etc etc)1 point

Belle Vue sticking with a tried and successful formula aside from the enforced change though even there weāve kept it in the family and thatās probably the best way to describe The Aces, one big happy family - management, fans & riders. With such longevity in this team of returning Aces Iām surprised that we are the youngest team again. I think weāll be ok at home as having Tate back from injury will bolster us at reserve, many thanks to Antti for stepping in. Away, Ben and Zach had almost identical averages with Zach slightly higher so bonus's should be won with the odd victory thrown in. Itās then down to the how badly our play off injury jinx affects us.1 point

The antics refers to him choosing to race in Poland and GP qualifiers than England when supposedly āinjuredā. This is coming from a Lynn fan whoās riders and everyone elseās riders get slaughtered for doing the exact same thingā¦1 point

Ignoring the fact Lidsey had higher away average then Ben Cook, and Zach had higher away average then both of them! Lidsey shown what he can do averaging 8.21 in the playoffs. Once Zach gets dialled in to NSS he will be fine.1 point

My apologies but I just hadn't seen him ride in the second halfs at Redcar. Didnt Dayle Wood beat just about everybody ?1 point

1. Bewley - will never be the 10+ rider everyone wants/expects him to be 2. Blodorn - has found his limit. A decent 2nd string who is too inconsistent to be anything more 3. Lidsey - in my opinion worse than B Cook who theyāve let go to keep Jaimon. Will never score enough points away from home 4. Z Cook - big downgrade on his brother. If he was at reserve a great signing, in the main body not so much. 5. Kurtz - Will Brady be as committed to UK speedway next year? Big season making his GP debut, as well as stepping up to Wroclawā¦ question marks raised over him this season with his antics, could we see even more next year? 6. Zischke - no one can question his talent and potential, but coming back from that serious of an injury and seeing all the away tracks for the first time, does make me feel nervous for Aces reserves 7. Mulford - the 2nd worst RS in the league with only Hagon behind him Again, like this year putting far too much pressure on Dan, Brady and Jaimon to score 35+ points a meeting to get them over the line. a longer tail than last year and worse 2nd string support. Aces will make the playoffs but that will be the end of the road for them1 point

Hard to imagine Zagar averaging less than 7 to be honest. Knows the tracks well and will settle down at Birmingham pretty quickly. Always liked him, thought he would go all the way to the very top after seeing his debut season with Trelawny where he was even better than Iversen who Newport signed. From memory averaged nearly 10 in his debut season. Was a class act for Reading too. Hopefully the ambition being showed by Brum works out. Signing Nilsson, Zagar, Thorsell and Tobi as well as Rew wont come cheap but if they do all click then they could be quite a top side.1 point

As expected from Belle Vue. Blodorn, Cook should improve their starting averages, as should Lidsey who needs to become more effective away from the NSS. Kurtz was exceptional in 2024, same again please, but with GP's & Ekstraliga I'm expecting a dip Still waiting for Bewley to have a few Nielsen seasons, when he averages 10:50+ and is almost unbeatable. Mulford can hold his own at RS hopefully. Never seen Zischke, Voulas must feel hard done to. Along with Tigers & Witches, the Aces complete the annual 3 horse title race as expected.1 point

We should have drawn them in the KO cup, Oxford would have had too strengthen up š1 point

Stadium rent will have gone up in some cases, the riders expenses would have gone up also, therefore so will their demands. Literally everything in modern day life has become more expensive. Canāt really expect admission prices to freeze and the promotions take an even bigger hit. A small increase is to be expected.1 point

Travel and riding for peanuts is part of it mate . As you know we ride at championship level and money ain't great and have got clubs offering places at the agreed rates for national league which is worse it's not full time for us as it don't pay the lad gets up and goes scaffolding everyday to earn enough to invest in machinery whether that's engines exhaust or limiters. At no point at this stage do we expect to earn enough through racing to cover its cost1 point

Yep, been there, done that with potential sites for a new track near Norwich. We found a great site in a gravel pit, a natural bowl which seemed ideal. Planning application turned down on road access, and not approved until a new large road junction was built. A few years down the line, the road junction was built, planning application turned down again! In the meantime they gave permission for a huge new retail park next to our proposed site with a big Sainsburys, The Range, Boots, Next and numerous other stores all exiting at the same junction which the planners said was not suitable for a Speedway stadium. Regular chaos and queues at the junction, so words fail me!1 point

The added cost of the silencers rev limiters will undoubtedly increase the chances of riders saying thanks but no thanks, especially when they find out how much money the clubs are allowed to pay, I hope Iām wrong but itās certainly not getting riders queuing up to ride, you only have to look at how many donāt enter amateur meetings anymore for prove of that.1 point

It isn't easy making strong looking teams, especially with a low points limit. But I notice you never give alternative teams or ideas to strengthen a team I've put out, just keep telling me they're awful! It's very easy to say a team looks bad without suggesting a better one, anyone could do that. If you think my teams are so bad & must clearly think it's easy to pick a stronger one, why not show me how to do it, you could easily say "how about rider A&B instead of C&D etc.1 point

Paco was the better rider. That said, Lasse's average is slightly suppressed in that he scored a lot of bonus points - particularly at home. Lasse ended with an average of 4.67, but with the bonus points he averages 5.76 last year, so I'd say he's good good value.1 point

Re tracks in South Wales - There was some talk of a track in the proposed car & bike racing track planned for Ebbw Vale area which fell through much to my disappointment having moved to the area from Newport, And of course there have been 2 tracks in Newport - Somerton Park now a housing estate (built by the Housing Association I used to work for - the irony) and Queensway Meadows now a truck yard (after it burnt t down after it closed) as well the aforementioned Cardiff, Neath & Carmarthen (which was a great little track housed in a showground) and also tracks in the very early days at Caerphilly & Tredegar and possibly New Tredegar. A venture to bring racing to Swansea at one point was to come to nothing. The crowds initially at both Newport tracks were outstanding but faltered, but proved it could be feasible in Newport at least and it drew a support from across South Wales.1 point

The home riders know this also. Theyāve also been critical of the track. It needs sorting because if riders donāt have confidence to ride to the max there, then the supporters are the ones who will suffer.1 point

100%... Part of its appeal to me was that it was four contracted riders from each team... Leaving another second string and at least one "decent" reserve to cover where needed should anyone be missing... I seem to remember hardly any "cry offs" too, with each team being at full strength... Plenty of "Heat 15's" on show...1 point
