  3. Prefer to have riders that also ride in the prem as otherwise they not riding enough to be in good form imo.

  4. Away especially and at home you donā€™t have to win races son and risk a crash to gain a point, when you can get a easy 2nd and 3rd with team riding to cancel thier gun rider points. Something that you donā€™t see much any more is team riding and Allen always looks out for his team mate if needed, defiantly a heat leader and I personally think he will push worrell out of the number 1 slot some time next year, I like the team but need the younger Kennedy to fire early in season and hold his own on away tracks, how can a team with so many Australians loose, can see more finals series comming up

  5. Interesting point, it seems riders want doubling up, but most fans want doubling up done away with it, or at least limited.

  8. (Tis the weekend so I'm in a funny mood) My favourite shovel is the Spear & Jackson no.3, there have been reports of handles breaking off but I still believe it to be a fine shovel. ... 9. Or Poole, still reasonably local.

  10. Wonder if they may shell out like they did with Crump and Bjaerne? Zagar is going to be in UK most Mondays for Brummies , can they still ride Plymouth Home matches on a Tuesday?, he's ridden for Trelawny so will know Phillips?. Not sure what his CL average would be but he could make 5 starts round Plymouth and be almost undeatable round there. Win your home matches that's key?

  11. Thats good news, I think Anders Rowe has alot of potential.

  12. Was mentioned at the Sheffield STAARS meeting on Thursday that they would have preference over Anders Rowe when racing Poole in the KO Cup, obviously confirms his Championship team before itā€™s announced by them šŸ™ˆ

  13. Great point about Jake being a good team rider. He is our best at that. Circa the times he saw Nathan Abblitt home at Scunny. Jake is accomplished on the bike and safe so he makes a good race partner. He knows where to put the bike and the EWR inside out. We can benefit from having three Aussies in the team. They're here to race and its like a brotherhood away from Oz. They thrive on that. We dont have riders with double up commitments at the outset. So the focus is on their racing for us. That can pay-off for us. As ever we get behind the Team and it is very "backable" Some top guys in there that will put 100% in everytime. Look we wont win them all but its guaranteed going a be "action packed" watching us try. Up the Scorps 25

  14. Louis wanted him, 100%. Why wouldnā€™t he? They just couldnā€™t come to an agreement on terms itā€™s as simple as that. It happens all the time. Good luck to him at Birmingham, theyā€™ve got themselves a terrific young rider with bags of potential.

  15. I honestly cant see it, Musielak and Rew yes but I expect others to drop. Like we saw with Janowski it can take a rider a long time to settle back in over here with our tracks being completely different. Nilsson hasn't rode over here for 6/7 Years, Thorssell for at least 5 years, Zagar's in his 40's now and has no improvement left in him.

  21. Anyone out there like myself love to watch a 4 team tournament. Seem to be sadly lost in the calendar. Possibly now only seen in a testimonial meeting. So who is in favour of the return of this format in a meeting. I suggest in the league have one home and away fixture with each club. Then do a four team tournament where each club visits one another home and away. Also keep the ko cup to be finalised at the end of the season. Now there is three trophies up for grabs. More interest and excitement to bring to the sport.

  22. Yes, totally agree. 4TTs also NEGATE the need for guests (or they should do)

  23. It was "bust" after the Comets first trip to England/Scotland (do they even know which they are) this season and look how that turned out by the end of the season. There's always a risk with new riders, especially on their first visit to the unique uk tracks, but I'm sure most true fans will back the promotions team choices

  26. Hopefully he does go well for Workington. Just saying you shouldn't be dropping your average by just under a point when the league averages strength dropped by 2 points this past season.

  28. Nilsson and Palovaara on 13.50 would be great business. Edinburgh back to being shrewd as they were back in mid-00s, it's great to see as a neutral. They used to know how to win.

  37. Potentially a 6.00 cause he might have an average of over 5.99 in Poland which he may be around that number. So how he can even possibly be a 4.00 would be great to hear.

  40. One meeting at home will need to deliver enough money to pay for your four riders riding 64 times collectively over the four legs... And will be all the "top earners"... One meeting currently needs to deliver enough to pay 60 rides collectively for all your riders, including 2 reserves.. Is it a risk worth taking? Would the crowd numbers, including three sets of potential away fans, make the competition successful? Personally I always thought "The Fours" was the best competition given the level of talent on show... It would be good to see it back ..

  41. He came in on a 5.00 so I can see the witches frustration with him ending his second season of (pretty much) riding at reserve and only showing 0.67 increase on that starting average. Card was marked imo. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/p23_issue_1.pdf

  42. Looking around the other declared or strongly rumoured line up's if Bowtell and Joe Thompson (who was presumably much sought after on that average) are 4th and 5th in line up in terms of average, with Barker at no higher than 3rd, then Plymouth would not be the weakest 3-4-5 by any means. As always for them it's all about getting a couple of bona fide heat leaders. A fit Covatti would be an excellent No 2.

  43. Iā€™m amazed by the disservice Thomsen is getting here. It wasnā€™t his greatest ever season, but 10+2, 11+1 and 8+3, including a win over Masters (the highest averaging home rider in the league) at Oxford across the final three cup final meetings of the season is remarkable from reserve. Being British and possessing potential is one thing, but if Iā€™m a Poole fan, Iā€™m delighted with Thomsenā€™s return.

  46. Same team as 2024 with Howarth replacing Lawson. We are going to push Birmingham for the wooden spoon with this team. Too many riders like Masters , Cook & Howarth on the decline. Becker should have been first out the door but his connections to the owners means he is back in 25 just shows the owners do not have Leicesterā€™s best interests at heart. We are weaker on & off the track with the loss of Pidcock Motorcycles as stadium sponsor & no sign of a replacement . Not a good time to be a lions fan.
