You're right about Tate and Antti still learning away tracks and any other newcomers having to learn away tracks will make the Comets suspect away from home. Personally I can see Jye being a big improver this year. He'll love his new home track and the wide open spaces, plus from the teams point of view having someone else in the team who knows all the away tracks will be essential. I can see Jye adding 1.5 points on his average this year. I think Jye at his worst is a 5.00 point rider. I think he'll be a good improver and will be good for the team too.7 points

I don’t think masters is on the decline like some have said, I think he’s pretty much the same as he was a few years ago when he was no.1 for wolves, I just think there’s been an influx of higher level heat leaders return to the uk last couple of seasons and he now is more of a 3rd heat leader level in the pecking order4 points

As I said at the time, Lewy knows nothing. He edited to say Toby was back to cover himself. Anyway great news he is back, a crowd favourite and a real battler.3 points

The press release advising of the re-signing of Tobias went out yesterday but was embargoed until 7pm tonight. I suspect either someone who saw it sent it on to Lewy or else Lewy received it directly. Either way, the protocol for press releases was breached and was allowed to fall into the irritating realm of “I know something you don’t know” I would expect that @Skidder was one of the recipients but, as an experience journalist, he had the class to observe the embargo2 points

Because they were above the points limit. Not easy to strengthen up in that scenario. While they are weaker, I don't see any of the riders picked being particularly bad choices.2 points

I think Rowe for Howarth is an improvement, the problem Sheffield have is at reserve .2 points

Shame Poole aren't meeting Leicester in the k.o.cup as they wouldn't need to strengthen much!2 points

I went to Leicester a few times last season, great crowd and good banter everytime, and will definetly return this season and probably not just to watch Ipswich. I know they had to drop some points, and losing Lawson for Howarth for me is a real kick in the teeth for a good bunch of Supporters, but thats the Points situation i suppose, but i have to say getting Craig Cook back is a disaster in my opinion only, i hope im wrong, but if i was a Leicester fan, that would dissappoint me more than Howarth. But their Gaffa does change things around, he isnt afraid to do that, so we will wait and see, if Cook wasn't 1st choice, and i expect that is true, then who was??2 points

Stewart's not afraid to make changes and if Becker struggles early on and drops his average then I can see Stewart stamping his authority quite quickly with a team change or two. I'm not writing Leicester off entirely but as it stands it's not a play-off side.2 points

I think any youngsters coming to Glasgow has a good chance to greatly improve, with the 2 tracks big and small and unrestricted track time they would have a great chance to really develop.2 points

Good to see a line has been drawn under the matter. I know Alex is passionate about his speedway, and the Stars. And maybe sometime in the future he could be involved again in some capacity.2 points

Good to hear that Tobias Thomsen has been confirmed for Poole in 2025.1 point

Thompson yes he's 10.something James and Foord no. 7.20 and 6.29 respectively. Spencer is number 2 in the averages for Leicester and has been racing in a heatleader position all season. I don't think he'd be the worst number 7 in the league and rides Redcar well, and he's got some experience too, not a world beater but better than others who may be available on a 2.00 who haven't already been snapped up.1 point

Etheridge is a good average IF he can stay injury free.Very poor away from Berwick at most tracks though.Wish him well though.1 point

Cook definitely wasn’t the first name on Dickson’s list for the number 6 berth, again can’t see him lasting a full season as a Leicester rider.1 point

Strength in depth 1-5 featuring 5 riders who know the Armadale circuit well? 1. Sedgmen 2. Vissing 3. Thomson 4. Heeps 5. Castagna 6. Coles 7. 2.001 point

To be fair there's not many 2 pointers who i'd expect to excell next season (apart from Cairns). Think they all may end up a similar standard. I'd say Jody Scott & Max James are two of the more promising ones, but there's not a lot in it. Hard to say if there's better options than Perry when you don't know who else has signed up 2 point reserves. Glasgow will likely miss a high scoring reserve, but their top 5 could almost do enough on their own.1 point

Yeah, last summer, demands will be higher when the bidder is more desperate Now its the winter and Dudeks demands are considerably lower now but, still on the high side for UK speedway but other riders are here on similar money1 point

4.08 from reserve to 5.51 mainly in the top 5 is a huge jump. You are doing Pearson a disservice.1 point
