James was a very skilful and fast young rider around Ashfield, everyone who visited Ashfield could see that. He beat a lot of good riders in his first season with the club. He probably had only visited most away tracks twice at the most before joining the Tigers, so his away form wasn'ta complete surprise. To me he was a success and I'm really disappointed that he's not in next year's team.5 points

As is often the case there are two sides to everything and right & wrong on both sides as I expect is the case here. However what puzzles me is that the rider stayed in contact with the club during his injury lay off and never raised a grievance despite having multiple opportunities to do so which is very odd. He obviously no longer wanted to ride for King's Lynn and wanted to be elsewhere. There is a narrative that Lynn are a shambles but plenty of experienced, quality riders are happy to ride for the club and return after leaving so it's obviously not the case. Sometimes people just don't click with eachother and can be on different pages, I suspect that is what happened here.5 points

The constant topic policing around this forum is utter brain damage. It is incomprehensible for me to process that a grown adult would look at this topic and think ”the subject of discussion has deviated, I must intervene”. It’s genuinely the behavioural characteristics of someone who has a spectrum disorder.4 points

IMO it's how it should and indeed used to be. Top riders in the Champ at reserve in the top league (or at the very most, second strings). But, sadly, those days are long gone.4 points

I think any youngsters coming to Glasgow has a good chance to greatly improve, with the 2 tracks big and small and unrestricted track time they would have a great chance to really develop.3 points

Very happy with the team building so far a good scoring reserve and the 2 riders who in my opinion needed to be back after we gave them a start in British Speedway it’s only right we benefit from them in 2025.3 points

Still would of been a lot stronger if we'd kept cookie instead of batchelor. But Not a bad start to team building, although will be some disappointed when Jye Etheridge is announced 😕2 points

As much as it pains me to say this, if the rumoured lineups elsewhere are close to true I would fancy that Glasgow team as comfortable favourites to make the play offs and challenge for silverware.2 points

Good to see a line has been drawn under the matter. I know Alex is passionate about his speedway, and the Stars. And maybe sometime in the future he could be involved again in some capacity.2 points

4.08 from reserve to 5.51 mainly in the top 5 is a huge jump. You are doing Pearson a disservice.2 points

Hound? What an overreaction. Foord’s erratic racing style is fantastic for the sport; it’s a talking point. His attitude after the crashes at Poole, while questionable, was entertaining. People love to hate characters like Foord and it’s an essential aspect of competitive sport. The poster who created this topic evidently did so, tongue-in-cheek. For you to then raise the subject of mental health is utterly mind-numbing. Give yourself a shake.2 points

You’re all wasting your time I’m afraid. They won’t have it that it can possibly be anything other than the rider that walked out who is totally to blame. Kings Lynn and the bloke that runs it are of course totally blameless. It had nothing to do with them, obviously.2 points

Hope the move works out for both Musielak & Brummies. Musielak had been reliable for Wolves, Swindon & Sheffield before his move to Kings Lynn last year, where it seemed to go very wrong. I've seen him unbeaten at Owlerton more times than I care to remember, less effective at Leicester, but seemed to have got to grips with the NSS after struggling first few times I saw him there. With the number of GP & ex-GP riders returning to British League racing I'm not sure Musielak qualifies as a genuine #1 any more though. Two other solid heat leaders are required.2 points

100% Spot on. The new rules are utter garbage - If you want to open the opportunities up for the final ; do the Top 2 straight through and 3-6th place in Final Run off. This new format is dross !!2 points

I think its bad when people have to keep announcing team signings in advance. Just like kids do, to try and prove that they know more than you. This is all part of the silly season in speedway and it kind of spoils it. Thoughts??1 point

My trading if good from the BSPA website is that it was James' choice not to be back (well sort of, his Polish commitments rule him out as he "can't make it work" with a Friday track) https://britishspeedway.co.uk/cab-direct-championship/pearson-on-the-move/1 point

Which is why I partnered him with Kyle, who probably should be at 5. But allows Kyle to take heat 14 to strengthen the end of the meeting. There's arguments in all ways on how to set the team up.1 point

I believe that a rider must have been in the GP's for at least two years to have the 8 point assessed average.1 point
