Every rider that signs comments on how much Ipswich is the most professional club they’ve ridden for. Not some of the riders, literally ALL of them. that’s no coincidence. Everything that Chris Louis does is to a high professional standard, from insisting not only on the now mandatory team kevlars, but also matching bike livery and fork covers that some clubs don’t bother with, To hiring professional photographers for pre-season photo shoots in a studio and making sure the social media accounts are properly run. He also makes sure every rider is paid bang on time. He’s hired people (at his own expense) who are experts in their field, to source and recruit sponsors and partner sponsors to help fund the club and allow them to be ambitious in providing a team worth watching. It takes effort and commitment, that Chris Louis has no problem doing. If every promoter and club acted in exactly the same way and showed the same effort and commitment to the sport in this country, then the sport here would be in a much healthier position. Any criticism of Ipswich speedway is wrong, and completely misguided.7 points

Kurtz and Bewley are more reliable than Doyle and Emil. So anyone thinking of putting money on Ipswich is silly.5 points

Come on everyone knows the Promoters and ,Team managers already have 90 % of there sides completed before the end of this season . You don’t expect all the foreign riders not to have deals in place for 2025 before the end of this season ,I’ve personally known Scunthorpe’s septet since the last meeting of the season in September . On discussion at this meeting will predominately about fixtures, cup draw’s and trivial matters5 points

With the Panthers out of action, I think I'm going to buy a season ticket at Ipswich next season. That team is worth every penny to watch on a regular basis, Fair play to the management for assembling one of the best sides we've seen in British Speedway in recent times. The 1-7 has a bit of everything in it, World Champions, A couple of British Champions and a few up and coming Young British riders with one of them having a massive future ahead of him.5 points

Charles Wright could fall out with himself just looking at the bathroom mirror... 😉5 points

Really? They've got a top three that only Belle Vue can better. 2 second strings that are the equal of any others in the league A No.6 who is a 5.00+ rider on a 25% discount and easily the best rising star in the league.4 points

What a team Ipswich have assembled. Potentially one of the best teams in recent history. If I was an Ipswich supporter I would be so excited for next season.4 points

They’ll be no vote. The sport pretends to be democratic but is anything but as those on the top table call the shots. As has been proven on many occasions what Ipswich want Ipswich get and to hell with the rules. If it came to the above Ipswich would happily see Birmingham close if it helped them get a bit of tin.4 points

the main supporters of the sport are the promoiers , not the fans . they are the ringmasters. they put everything on the line and cannot just walk away .they lose everything , unlike supporters/fans do .3 points

I can't remember Ipswich being that kind of club ever. If they were then I doubt they would of gone 26 years without a title. Chris Louis backed Lambert riding for the Aces in 2022 even though we had them in the play offs.3 points

Top promoter, his attention to detail and making sure everything's correct is at the same level as making sure the fuel taps definitely on....... Fantastic team assembled and deserve the success they were robbed of last season, fingers crossed injury free next season.3 points

Again, please don’t feed him. He got one or two early bites and is now rolling with it and enjoying himself. Don’t do it.3 points

As a Lions fan can I say how jealous I am of this side? If Ipswich don't have any serious injuries and don't win the league then I'm calling them 'spursy'3 points

I know, it is a shame... I wanted to contribute to this one but now I can't... Same with all the other closed threads, not just this one . If only they were still open I could have replied... Not able to now...3 points

Artem is ready to step in for Birmingham. He wants to deliver Birmingham their first ever Premiership title. All Birmingham need to do is phone him and send him the contract with his requested terms.3 points

Has a team named their entire lineup before the conference before? Really strange. Tuesday 12th November AM: Ipswich announce their final rider. Tuesday 12th November PM: 6 clubs vote for a 39 point limit. lol3 points

Playoffs don't work like that. Ipswich are a great team, will be favourites, will be in the play offs, but the playoffs are then a different game, it's all about form at the right time.2 points

With Ipswich confirming there 1 - 7 doesn't seem much point in the AGM piss up, things must be already settled2 points

Belle Vue is the challenge everyone needs to step up too, current champions, 2 times in 3 years, playoffs every year this decade and 3 out 4 finals. No polish speedway moaning at our club.2 points

Think Dayle has came on leaps and bounds last season, partly I think due to being on some of Craig Cook's equipment. I would have him in the team2 points

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Brum did sign Laguta... Yes it would be a massive gamble, but you've got to believe that Lindgren is off the table, so what other possible marquee signings are there?2 points

It’s a shame for everyone else that Doyle and Emil have no interest in riding for any other team. Keep dreaming Ipswich ain’t going nowhere but to the top step. Just hope we nail Sheffield in every match we meet them in.2 points

I know... But don't know how they are doing it.... He should just open the thread again so we can all then contribute..2 points

Hope Birmingham can get a competitive team, but the latest press release doesn't give much confidence. "We were planning on building a team around Tom Brennan" didn't exactly sound very promising, but having lost Brennan it's hard to see where they go next. I'm dreading the next press release of "We are building around the twin spearhead of Steve Worrall and Wiktor Lampart"2 points

It's because Heat 15 rides, while counting in your average, skew the "four ride" figuring. Think about it...2 points

People need to realise that with Danny as second string he will be paired with let’s say Doyle in 3 if his 4 races ….. So against Sheffield he will be with Doyle and then one of J Holder C Holder or Tai …. Realistically he is going to be third in those races .. may occasionally beat the opposing third heat leader ….. His job is to then win heat 8….. that will give him 6 points every home meeting ….. same scenario as Ellis who would need to win heat 14 If Ellis and Danny get a minimum of 6 they will have done their jobs …. 46 wins you a meeting and I can see our top 3 getting 34 most meetings between and that’s without factoring in the reserves What I’m trying to explain is last year Danny at number 3 would have been against 2 second strings or a reserve and one opposing heat leader … fair to say he should be getting 2 points in those races ….. so this season I can see his points going down but purely due to being the third best rider in the race rather than the second best ….2 points

But if Ipswich & Glasgow have completed their teams. Does that mean everything has been decided before listening to the fans voice reps?2 points

I like the current format. I don't have a problem with H15 being a re-run of H13. But I do hate it when there is a "super-heat" and the same riders can be chosen as H15. Wouldn't it give team managers something to think about if your H15 choices couldn't be used in a subsequent super-heat? Wouldn't it be great - for the riders, and the fans - if 2 of their weaker riders were given the chance to get the glory?2 points

Or, just simply, run their leagues with credibility, and have prizes worth winning? That forms the basis of any successful sports...2 points

So when and where do we the fans actually get to hear the outcomes of the AGM? Have to ask the question why aren't we the main supporters of the sport, given a bit more respect about the way it's run, it feels to me like the promoters/owners treat us with a fair amount of contempt, to my mind all the matters of the AGM should be in the public domain and scheduled, with the outcomes publicised on a set date.2 points

With the success of vuolas would Jesse mustonen be an option? Not sure if he has/ will be riding in Poland but always thought he was entertaining when seen SON etc2 points

How about riders in heat 15 being nominated by opposing team managers? Could end up being a repeat of heat 2, but league speedway is supposed to be a team sport and it might encourage more balanced team building with strength in depth. Before anyone asks, no, I haven’t thought this through!2 points

Tbh if the other clubs are doing nothing to help Birmingham & even raiding their top riders, I wonder should Birmingham pull out of the league? Hope Tolley doesn't let his heart rule his head & go bankrupt. While it's not the job of others clubs to keep Birmingham competitive, surely they know there's a very good chance it'll soon be a 6 team Premiership, is that what they want? Re Brennan if a club doesn't want to use their own asset isn't his current team supposed to have "first refusal" on him?2 points

Alex Brady has made a public apology to Keith chapman for comments made in December 21st 2023. And wishes kings Lynn speedway all the best in the future. I guess the court case must have reached it’s conclusion1 point
