You seem confused about the source of your news. The Belle Vue press release (from press officer Hayley Bromley) regarding Mulford said nothing about his Championship team See here https://www.bellevue-speedway.com/blog/latest-news-2/2025-rising-star-revealed-355. That was 18 October and there has been no release from Belle Vue since. (If they can be accused of anything, it's a lack of any press info from the club). The subject of your anger should to be the Speedway Star journalist (Keith McGhee, I guess?) who seems to have leaked the Redcar news in an ainterview with Mulford in Speedway Star. (The authors of the articles are listed at the top of the page, but they don't say which person wrote which article on the page. However McGhee seems to be the only Northern one, so I guess it's him as he's North Yorkshire based).5 points

Is it just me, but do any others think Kvech will prove to be a pretty good number 1 this season with the experience of last year beginning to learn tracks etc. If he can after the first average changes, with Ben riding in the middle order or at 5 would be a solid team, not playoff winners I imagine but certainly could get to them, a lot of ifs what's and maybes but probably won't lose many at home.4 points

So they’re not making Brennan stay at Brum then Big Phil? You got TTT all angry and wound up another nothing. 😂3 points

Rather than make all these novelty changes it is a pity nothing is done to get the best riders lining up!3 points

Have Redcar themselves announced the signing of Mulford now? Even if the plan was to announce to the team at the Christmas party etc surely once it's been leaked, they may as well put it on their website / social media?2 points

It could go either way. I'd expect Cook to improve as a rider, as he has done every season so far, which would normally up his average, but racing in a more tough position makes it harder. Let's say he's good enough to be an 8.00 rider at 4, that may translate to a 7.25 rider racing at 1? Anyway if King's Lynn have 6 riders within one point of each other, I doubt anyone would be at 1 or 6 all season, could change every month.2 points

Were the sprint races well attended by those at the GPs? It seems a novelty gimmick to me and not really worthy of standings points. If it’s genuine qualifying then that’s qualification for the main event or if it’s practice then the riders should be free to do as they please. Neither should be treated as actual competition with serious rewards at stake.2 points

Do you have any evidence of PM actually doing something along the lines you are insinuating or are you taking the opinion of others and trying to turn them into being factual?2 points

Should BV press be announcing other people's team news? Should not be saying anything til Redcar have announced it themselves imo.2 points

There's one rule I'm unsure on, I always thought once a rider averaged above 3.00 they can't drop back down below it. This has been seen with the likes of Adam Roynon averaging below 3 but having a 3 average. But I did see Kyle Bickley drop below 3 when he shouldn't have. So either the rules have changed, or they've forgotten them, or made mistakes, or ignore them when including British reductions, I'm not sure tbh Charles Wright 8.37 Erik Riss 8.33 Danny King 7.88 Jason Edwards 6.18 Jake Mulford 4.27 Ace Pijper 3.00 Tom Spencer 2.00 Total 40.031 point

One interesting with this version of the team is that the reserves are almost certain to stay at reserve all season. I’d argue this is a good thing as you’d hope the other five could all hold their own in their respective positions.1 point
-
The only rider capable of that would be Hodder I think a risk worth taking as you can drop one rider like Poole did if someone is doing really well in national league bring them in,that top 5 should look after itself.1 point
-
If I was brum I’d be all out after Thorsell and lahti who I think could be getable1 point
-
Weak reserves if that’s the case but a very gd top 5 enough to get you through meetings, much better on paper than last years team if that happens.1 point

Looks very likely now the final 2 are Doyle and Brennan, and to be honest, that is some side. Dissappointing to see Keynan leave (If True), especially if it is to do with Money, but i suppose we won't ever know that. On where Keynan goes, could be Birmingham although some have mentioned he might not do the UK this season, which would also be sad, especially after the season he had last year. Belle Vue is touted but by all accounts Zack Cook replaces his brother Ben as the only change there, so don't know what to think. Buit its the Annual P*** up this week, so i'm sure we will know a lot more by the end of the week. Quite a lot on here who get slated for posting teams and being in the know as they say, have this silly season got a lot right, and yes it keeps the forum going, and i thank them for keeping the Boring months when Speedway is finished entertaining. I just love this sport, and we need to keep the UK Flag flying.1 point

Why can't we all just wait and see, and allow the Club to announce their Team when ready to do so..... I sincerely hope whoever wrote it is right though.1 point

Playing around in the garden with a gun and some mates and he managed to shoot himself in the head. He has recovered and he came over to Newcastle to present Archie Freeman (who idolised him) with his British 150cc Championship in 2019. Lovely guy, brilliant gater and he lives in Denmark and rides a big road bike. Could have been a great rider.1 point

Ok. Fair enough. I know they pull local press reports from clubs in the past so thought they did that with BV press, seeing as a poster on here said BV leaked it.1 point

Belle Vue (the club not the fan base) strike me as a club who couldn't give a rubbishe about other clubs, only themselves, and look down their nose at other clubs, particularly ones not in the Premiership... we're just the common folk and they're the royalty... 🙄 something real dodgy about them imo.1 point

I have looked at my records of those days and can only find black and white photographs. I can do no better than recommend the following Link: http://www.defunctspeedway.co.uk/Sunderland.htm If you scroll down you will find the 1974 Team near the bottom. Picture of the racejacket with the shield with the 'G' on it is the original 1974 racejacket*. (you can see on the Badge further up) If I remember correctly, the 'STARS' racejacket with the black 'G' on it was the final one. i) *Racejacket, Red Background with White Shield containing the letter 'G'. i)**Racejacket, Red Background with White Star containing Red Star with Black 'G' in the centre. I'm sorry but this is the best I can do. I hope it is of assistance to you. The excellent Website I recommend is hosted by John Skinner who has done a wonderful job for Speedway in general and North East Speedway in particular.1 point

Having seen William Cairns a few times at Worky it is undeniable what a talented and confident prospect he is. Having said that I just hope he is well managed and not overly pressurised in his first season or two. He also needs to be lucky on the injury front. I wish him well.1 point

Kolodziej, Jepsen Jensen, Nilsson, Huckebeck, Hampel, Wornya, Kowalski, Zengota, R Jensen, Cierniak, M Hansen, Drabik, Wozniak, Buczkowski, Chugonoz, Loktayezv, Lyager, Bjerre, Thorsell etc. There's plenty more you can add to that list . Some would come on assessed 5,6,7 assessed averages. I doubt many of them would come to Birmingham. I imagine alot of riders wanting to try Britian would fancy a club with a good track record or riders that fancy improving there ability on technical tracks. Birmingham are a real mystery next season on who they bring in. Nobody knows1 point
