if you want to be a winner you have to be an arsehole on the track, you don't get anywhere being nice .. it's why Leigh Adams never won a world title. Nicki Pedersen away from the racetrack is one of the nicest people you'll meet, but on track, a winner4 points

After his sour experience at Kings Lynn last year - don't know what went wrong - he'd always been reliable for Wolves, Robins & Tigers. I do wonder if we'll see him in our league again. Hopefully so. I was hoping he'd be at Perry Barr as Oxford have Janowski & Tungate at least. Brummies seem to be losing Brennan.2 points

i am sure the Fords will make sure mr Cairns will not get the meetings he needs to get a proper averge for 2026 . fools if they dont .1 point

Why? They knew their contracts ran out on 31 October 2024, why would that have any effect on him signing a different contract to start on 15 March 2025? My gas contract doesn't run out until the end of Feb 2025, I've already signed one to start 1 March 2025.1 point

You canât really think that any rider seriously involved in Poland is going to ride for Berwick on on a Sat night.1 point

Am I missing something here? With only Ashton announced so far, where are all these other names coming from?1 point

Think cairns would achieve more than a 2 point average after his 6 meetings, was going to sign for worky until Poole splashed the cash to his manager a certain Greg Hancock1 point

Won the league but not convinced they would have won the play offs.. With Bewley, Kurtz and Lidsey on the form they were in this end of season I would have fancied the Aces to keep within 12 or so at Ipswich... And then given the Witches their usual beasting at the NSS...1 point

The more rumoured 1-7's I see, The more I rate KL's potential 1-7's. And you know that I don't like to give Buster any sort of credit lol.1 point

LOL give over with this vomit inducing âwe like to help othersâ cr@p. Youâre not âreleasingâ Ben Cook to help others you fool, youâre releasing him because youâd rather keep the others. âThe strong teams help the weak teamsâ LOL youâve just pinched Zach Cook off Birmingham who had pencilled him in to their side, in exactly the same way Ipswich have with Brennan! Purely for your own clubs gain because you have to shed points. Stop pretending your club is holier than thou and you make sacrifices for the benefit of others and British Speedway. Your club does things out of self interest, every bit as much as everyone else. Unless youâre Connor Mountain of course. A young British rider trying to make a living here. Then you get tossed on to the scrap heap in a purely tactical move.1 point

Just seen a post of comets promotional team set up at the national speedway show just outside Coventry. We'll done to all involved, another example of how the comets word gets about1 point

So many Poole fans on FB talking about Chris Harris. As they've signed Lawson I see no chance of them signing such a high averaged 2nd heat leader, but out of curiosity, looked to see what sort of team they could build with such a strong top 2. Richard Lawson 9.17 Chris Harris 9.07 Zach Cook 6.23 Anders Rowe 6.11 Vinnie Foord 3.90 Paul Starke 3.36 William Cairns* 2.00 Total 39.84 Richard Lawson 9.17 Chris Harris 9.07 Zach Cook 6.23 Anders Rowe 6.11 Paul Starke 3.36 An Other 2.00 William Cairns* 2.00 Total 37.941 point

Looks like Lyon is trying to recreate the Dad's Army format that won the league for Panthers without the undoubted World class that team had in their prime, Iversen aside If Cook is #1 Stars have no chance.1 point

It is also worth noting that it has taken Thompson two years less to do this so the case is far from closed. They both had good seasons, they both showed plenty of promise, and I hope they both have successful careers ahead of them.1 point

Absolutely ridiculous that everyone has to suffer due to Oxford. If Glasgow and âEastbourneâ are also running NL teams, could Oxford not drop the Chargers and let the Championship do 2H2A for the good of the sport? As I canât see where all of these NL riders are coming from anyways, unless Iâve missed that other NL clubs arenât running.1 point
-
I don't understand that, surely if 8 clubs wanted 2 home & 2 away, they should just vote for that & Oxford stick to the Premiership (& NDL)? One less team would make 2 home & 2 away more feasible.1 point

In the youth championship at Birmingham Will was one of the riders who came out with a broom to help the track staff remove rain water from the track. At least he's started out the right way.1 point

If its going the way people reckon then aye. I personally would've preferred us to scrap one of the Holders or Woffy to give us a stronger middle order and reserve. If the team is what everyone says it is then it does feel like a mistake imo. I've got no doubt in Rowes ability but to me he should be starting at reserve, there's gonna be a lot of pressure at 2, espically if the rest of the team is having to hold up the reserves, and I feel particularly away from home we will get found out. Gilkesy is a fantastic rider to watch - but does he really look much better than he was in 2023? I wouldn't say so personally. He's also very prone to picking up an injury, so for me it feels like a massive risk bringing him in at 6. It just feels like it's too unbalanced and then you've got to question will our top four want to always carry the team if they don't get going? There were whinges last season when we had to go to super heats and particularly from woffy when Howarth was under performing. So how will they handle it with what I'd say is a weaker bottom 3?1 point

There's quite a few riders that cause carnage, like as mentioned on other threads. Pederson , Roynon, Lyndon, sheppard, barker , hume, to name a few dangerous riders.0 points
