I don't get all this anti-Madsen stuff, he's finished 2nd, 5th, 7th, 2nd, 5th & 9th (with all his "problems" this year) in the world. He's shown far more over the years than any of the other Danes7 points

Thats an awful decision... Both Kvech & Huckenbeck failed to make top 10 with a full season and didn't make top 6 in challenge finishing 9th and 13th... Thats tick boxing putting kvech and huckenbeck in rather than best riders... So now to be in worlds best 15 you just need to pick a country with poorer riders who host a GP to get a call up6 points

I did the texting from the track and nowhere does it say Killeen took him out. Ron’s version is close to my own. Cairns moved out just as Killeen arrived on the outside. It was a racing incident. Cairns was in front so ref excluded Killeen could easily have gone the other way to me but I only saw it once when live.6 points

Here is where some excluded riders rank in the 2024 Ekstraliga averages whilst the woke selectors try and fog us all off with a best 15 riders in the World slogan in regards to the 2025 GP series. 1. Laguta 2. Madsen 5. Kolodziej 6. Sayfutdinov Zmarzlik's victories are now tainted and he's not a legit World Champion until he gets legit competition imo (Those who are just as statistically good as him in the Ekstraliga) It's like winning a Champions League that doesn't feature Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.4 points

Can't be your first experience of shovlar painting Poole as rank outsiders and any win would be against all odds surely?3 points

And that's woke is it? I'm not sure i agree with the wildcard choices but describing it as "woke" is ridiculous tbh.3 points

I think the phrase... "FOR F***S SAKE!!!!".. Was actually designed for this level of decision making.... 😁3 points

Happy to see kvech back in, may not have made top 6 but certainly won a few races and wasn’t afraid to mix it but don’t understand how he got a pic over madsen ? I would like to know the actual thought process in deciding picks as they seem to make very little sense, think the pickers should be made to explain why they choose who they do3 points

Wrocław winning tonight would surpass the miracle in Medinah and Buster Douglas knocking out Mike Tyson.2 points

I genuinely don’t think he would be the threat he was a few years back, the year he won he was exceptional but although still a force in Poland I don’t think he would win again but I just wish we could find out2 points

Somebody doesn’t like him that’s for sure. Definitely still a top 10 rider.2 points

Wokeness strikes again. Another tainted victory for Zmarzlik next year.......Seriously Huckenbeck and Kvech lol, What have they done in this years GP series to justify those picks?2 points

Think Howarth is on a false average, he’s regularly had to do 6 rides a meeting to cover for MPT being injured in middle and end of season, it’s always difficult to maintain an average when that’s the case as usually means racing the opposition number 1 or 5 like 4 times a meeting (two regular, ht15 and R/R ride). He could be a steal for someone this season, think he’s based down south so it might be more down to travelling than numbers2 points

Thought Rory was have a decent season till his injury, would have him back. Not sure what he will do though he is getting on a bit and had few hard knocks2 points

That’s not the way it works. If you don’t unilaterally sanction countries then you might as well not bother in the first place. Do I think Laguta and Sayfudinov are worthy of a place? Absolutely. I can equally see why they still shoudn’t be included though.2 points

Just catching up with this, I watched the 2nd leg online whilst on holiday, it flattered to deceive, Leicester never got going as Belle Vue simply were too strong - congratulations to them and comiserations to the Lions. In my view the tie was won or lost (delete as per your team) in heats 13-15 at the NSS in the first leg.2 points

Really disappointed to see they’re just ticking boxes rather than trying to field the best 15. I can’t see the poles being happy that they only have two poles. Huckenbeck and Kvech shouldn’t be anywhere near near the GPs currently.2 points

Another guaranteed title for Zmarzlik then, especially with them not choosing to pick a rider that had finished twice to him in 2019 & 2022... stick that in your Henhouse! 🐔2 points

One of the comments at the bottom of that story is hilarious. The Poles really think they own the sport don't they? "It's spitting in our face once again. We should give up organizing tournaments and let them ride on some henhouses and not our stadiums"2 points

I would go that Route... Jack is an individual in a team sport doesnt team ride and doesnt appear to be involved with others in the pits2 points

Of course Fricke should be back, despite my doubt elsewhere on this forum, I'm still pretty angry that he completely went missing during both legs of the final and I don't suppose he's too happy about it either, hopefully he'll learn from it and come back a better rider. He did after all contribute a hell of a lot in getting us to the final. Douglas, meh, does a solid enough job, can't see him making a breakthrough, seems to have reached his level. Hagon, not a chance, he's completely out of his depth in the PL.2 points

With B'ham most likely to close, the best thing that Leicester can do now, is get the track sorted for competitive racing and there's a very good chance that attendances will increase.... The viewing at Leicester is far superior to PB(Perry Barr), but the racing is just as drab....Unless they sign 'Bewley' ! 😃2 points

disagree he has underperformed this year he would start on just under seven after the brit reduction and would stick at least a point on that with poole as a home track imo2 points

Always a subjective discussion, but... He did nail six world titles in the "golden era" when competition was truly at its fiercest... Fundin, Briggs, Moore, Collins, Olsen, Michanek, Jessup, Simmons, Louis, Crump, Jancarz, Plech, and so many many more truly World Class riders, raced at the top level against him... To win it six times in that era was trruly staggering...2 points

Many of us watch Polish Speedway similar to the way we watch UK Speedway... ie. More "sports entertainment" than a bone fide sporting contest.. However. In Poland, it is very much "winning matters" as financially there are big rewards, and tonights result will be lead news in the national written and TV news coverage this evening and tomorrow... We might want to be "entertained" but Lublin and Wroclaw fans only want to see their team win.. And if they get entertained too, then that is a bonus..1 point

From a team managers perspective , it would be beneficial to know the reasons behind his inconsistency. Because when he’s good he’s great & definitely look like he can build on his average. But then there’s the other side of his performance. overall, he looks on the up, so yes he should be on the “possibles” list1 point

Well my choice is obviously very biased but it was Sky’s production followed by BT both of whom were very professional and forward thinking with their production with Sky making it HD, Jib cameras, Kerb cams, multiple slow mo’s then BT took over and made it a UHD production However this came at a cost with each Sky meeting production costing the same as what Eurosport spend for 5 UK meetings. There simply is no budget for UK racing everything is done using the cheapest option possible for example they use a lot of University students who are looking for unpaid experience that’s why we get some dodgy camera work and editing, vision mixing . The Sky production was normally a 15-18 main cameras and 2 slo mo plus 2-3 radio cameras while Eurosport is 4 main cameras plus 1-2 radio camera they don’t even pay the OB provider for lighting for presentation and instead Mr Morris brings his battery flood lights. Who knows when the contract is up for renewal again Sky may be interested as would now be a good fit for the Sky Sports + channel and is a good filler when no Football1 point

Can I ask - and sorry if this has been asked before - why do Glasgow only run one team? If Oxford can run 3 in a shared track, why can Glasgow not have at least 2?! IMO would be great for attracting and retaining new fans, especially if the 2nd team was prem.1 point
