  4. Thank you Weeyin for those kind words, it has been great to be back. Not sure about any Worky fans disliking you guys, for me personally the Tiggers Fans, Club and Track are top notch and an exemplar for eveyone else to follow. See you next season 👌👍

  5. Cracking meeting again from the NSS tonight. Is a 12pt lead enough,i sincerely hope so,but i don't think it is.Pretty sure you won't see that kind of racing in the 2nd leg unfortunately.Maybe the Belle Vue riders can attach torches to the front of their bikes and they may be okđŸ«Ł.

  7. Which is to debate, sensibly, the subject of which the title decrees, not be a slanging match between individuals who name-call and, also, do not add one jot to the conversation (check the "Rules of the Forum").

  12. There is not same number of fixtures and News these days in GB though.Needs something to fill the pages,I really enjoy the Foreign news but the delivery standards need to be addressed.Personally think the problem is Royal Mail local deliveries due to lack of staff. All my mail is affected these days.

  14. Being old fashioned I guess, I think Lawson should've won this meeting on 13 points, no need to have a final.

  15. Very harsh.. He had an horrendous wrist injury just 24 hours before that made him miss the riders championship..😁

  16. Hopefully the Sheffield track staff was watching tonight

  20. Heat 9 a great race spoiled by the fact that the tv company decided it was better for us to look at some handlebars while the race was unfolding before us.

  21. Keep it going BV. Leicester v Sheffield would be the worst possible spectacle for fans purely due to the tracks being gate and go. BV in the Final means we'll at least get one evening's worth of entertaining racing.

  22. He needs to be more ruthless in those positions. We know how fast he can be,but to be right at the top of the game he has to stop being nice.

  23. Information from Leicester The outcome of that semi-final has an effect on the date of the Grand Final at the Pidcock Motorcycles Arena, Beaumont Park. If Sheffield win on aggregate, the Lions will stage the first leg next Monday, September 23 before travelling up to South Yorkshire three nights later. A Belle Vue victory would mean the Lions travelling to Manchester next Monday and then hosting the second leg on Thursday September 26. So how is it acceptable that they have to wait till the Thursday to know where the final will be raced on the following Monday, when this wasn't acceptable for the semi finals? For "commercial reasons" couldn't Leicester just have agreed to host the home leg first to allow Belle Vue or Sheffield 7 days to publicise their leg of the final? There is nothing anyone could ever say to make me believe the "fixing" of the semi finals is acceptable.

  24. Because if Hawkins is here then it makes it almost a dead cert King will be back & in the interest of both parties King needs to be elsewhere next year.

  27. Could it work against them, knowing Oxford are "definitely" in the final, would some fans, stay at home & just go to the final instead? Is this a situation where a 4 point deficit would've been better to bring in a bigger crowd?

  28. Conner didn’t sound very positive in his SS interview the other week.Would be a decent signing if head gets his head around the sport again.

  31. It's all about entertainment so I've no problem with the additional races at all. The excitement builds and surely that is what the majority of fans want. BSN have been fab this year with commentary, analysis, regularity of meetings etc. Will really miss their coverage during the autumnal/winter months. Thanks IB.

  33. Agreed @Arthur54 @Starman2006@lbw are constantly calling me names & @lewy has even gone as low as abusing dead relatives. @foreverblue can only go with the Poole pensioners, pathetic.

  34. Well done Workington on your 1st season back in championship, lovely set up there, you had a team with a few unknowns and coped well, to make the play offs was an astounding result and you may have gotten further if you had your full team without injuries. Hopefully you can get back some of the Derwent park fans and continue to do well next season. Believe it or not a lot of Glasgow fans were supporting you to do well, shame that there are 1 or 2 Workington fans dislike us, but for the most part you are a friendly lot. You have Steve Lawson who is very well thought off at Glasgow, you also have my fave rider Craig Cook and Claus is also loved by Glasgow fans. I look forward to some friendly rivalry next season.

  36. 31/08/24. We need to call the play off’s as otherwise clubs won’t have enough time for promotion and publicity plus Discovery’s needs the notice to organise OB. Can’t you wait a couple of days to see how the lions get on at Kings Lynn? No, it’s not enough time. Two weeks later. 13/09/24 Guess we need to crack on organising Leicester’s 1st leg on the 23rd. Should I let Discovery know where they’re going? No, we’ll sort it all on the 20th. A long weekend is all discovery needs to sort OB and the clubs involved can stick something on their website.

  37. These riders who withdrew with injuries before the meeting. Should be given a 14 day” recovery period “to allow them to heal.Disrespectful to loyal fans who pay their wages for the rest of the season.

  38. It would do if the fans weren't left standing around for 20 minutes while the riders put new tyres on for the last 2 races... a fact that is known at the start of the meeting. All riders should have an extra wheel with tyre fitted ready to go, if it's not used, then use it for the next meeting.

  42. No doesn’t deserve a wild card and no shouldn’t retire from world speedway, he should enter European championship next year and enter qualifying rounds for GP and if he still wants it he is good enough to qualify of which I would like to see him do and I say this as someone who can’t stand the guy

  43. Not commented on this thread as of yet but felt the referee got the Rew taking Brennan off wrong Fricke lifting with all 4 back was correct but made to look incorrect based on the Rew decision Fans moan the referee is inconsistent but once the first call is wrong, to gain consistency everything should be wrong, right? Some ipswich fans evening claiming the referee robbed them of a 5-0 in heat 13? Madness Take the referee out of the equation and ipswich had ample opportunity to get to the final without any referee assistance Leicester were also unlucky with a rider packing up on the start line Suck it up and move on, its not life or death
