  1. Will Eurosport be able to cope with RR tonight and do we expect them to have tactical substitutes- even though they are not in use in the play-offs !

  2. I think you will find Leicester were top.... That's why they are riding against the fourth placed team...

  3. Are you really a Glasgow fan. Tigers fans in general like to see riders trying. They realise not every rider can score a maximum. One thing Leon can't be accused of is not trying. He hasn't always been quick enough or picked the right lines on the track BUT he tries and contributes to the team's overall performance. Last night he tried his guts out once again and in Heat 15 he crucially held back Boughen thus meaning Bomber only had Masters to worry about. He started the season with a 6.40 Green Sheet average achieved at a track where he had ridden for a good few years. He has moved to a different type of track and he achieved a modest increase to 6.82. He is clearly disappointed that he didn't do better but it would be madness to replace him now that his efforts are being rewarded with more points.

  5. Danny King, pressure on, gets passed up the inside too easily, needs to move on, doesn't team ride etc etc etc.... Who is up first for Danny King bingo!!

  6. Can confirm I am here with 9 others - actually the crowd is ok. Well down on Usual but not too bad - all these Tv delays are annoying tho!

  8. I must admit i want Ipswich to win,the underdog and all that. Then if they don't win i want anyone but Sheffield.

  9. Blimey Eurosport actually asking the hard questions we'll done Abbie. As I said earlier Emil isn't allowed to ride.

  10. I always thought that Halifax rider Henny Kroeze got the first league 21 point maximum.

  11. Think he is at the wind-up and has plenty of bites. If Bomber is not back at Glasgow I will be amazed, he has stated that he wants a return.

  12. Harris should be on the radar for every Championship club, who wouldn't want to sign Bomber?

  13. You can’t help thinking that Ivacic is getting a decent payment for turning up.He has even dire to say the least.Wont see him again in GB I would imagine.

  14. If you knew anything about Polish Speedway you would know that Lublin can easily pull that back over 15 heats and will be favourites to do so.

  15. Heard Troy Batchelor is in the mix for Poole next season. Wouldnt be a bad choice had a good year at Workington

  17. That's Ipswich done for. Only 1 person to blame and his name is Emil Sayfutdinov! If he was riding, Ipswich would have had a 12-14 point lead.

  23. On holiday in Cornwall at the moment for the first time in 20 years or so, and drove through the china clay 'hills' at Nanpean today where Tralawny used to race. Saw Chris there back then, exciting and giving his all as a youngster, he's a fantastic advert for British speedway, still riding at such a high level today.

  25. Having guests “booked” is completely irrelevant. Means absolutely nothing. Sheffield had Joe Thompson booked for the cup final but then Gilkes declared himself fit and resumed his place in the side.

  29. I just love how so many people on here "hear" things. Where do they hear them? And why do they never name the source of what they overhear?

  30. No thanks, dont want him anywhere near Winborne Road.

  31. Bomber wants a club that is professional in its operation and a track that can show case his riding style, Glasgow/Ashfield tick those boxes.

  32. I was hearing mid season that we already had an agreement for him coming back next year. We’ll find out in time, I guess.

  33. I have had many insults over the years, but that one hurt. When the Labour Party effectively began the Green Belt in 1947 it was an attempt to make sure that the slums built by the Victorian factory owners would never be built again and tried to make sure that the workers would have worthwhile areas to live in. Anyone who listened to the proceedings of the Grenfell Tower enquiry and the new Government responses to the sort of repeats of the rip-off builders would realise that this government will not allow rip-off bojit and floggit developers and builders to repeat the minimum cost slums of the Victorians that destroyed the infrastructure of the country making big fortunes doing it. The new planning rules are going to be designed to try to move the new housing developments to be built where the locals want them and want them to be well designed to be worthwhile places to live - Local Plans are also to be strengthened. So I found a copy and studied the new labour Government 2024 version of the NPPF that is presently out for consultation. Guess what - even if the new modified 2024 document is accepted without any changes it will be too late to affect these two slum development proposals and the paragraphs I quoted from the Heritage section of the old Conservative document are not up for change anyway. Speedway has always been the epitome of working class sport and having a long lived heritage track within the local housing would be music to the ears of the 1945 Atlee Labour Government, so we should still fight this slum development and try reading the proper facts rather than rely on horrendously biassed dying newspapers.

  34. I tend to agree with that, I thinks it’s 50/50 at the moment. The positive is that if he does ride in the uk it will be at Ipswich. I think it will come down to what works best for Emil & his family be that here or Sweden. He seems to want to ride more than just Poland & it appears Torún are happy with that but who knows. No matter what happens the guy has cemented his place as an Ipswich legend he is just class on & off the track.

  35. The rising star scheme hasn't really been a success and hasn't really been fit for purpose at all for a couple of seasons Only Brennan has progressed out of the scheme and is still in a side Others moving out have already been jettisoned The fact that the Championship dropped it even though that's the natural start point is more pertinent

  36. Another big score from Bomber tonight, it looks like he will beat his 2023 figure of 9.47, pending Oxford's visit on Sunday. Even more impressive given the fact he isn't the best gater and riding in a team that is a pale shadow of the champions class of 2023. I don't know how he does it: the travelling, crashes, bruises and still pulls it out the bag weekly. I would assume he is a stick on for Glasgow 2025? I hope he wins the CLRC and rides in a competitive team next year.

  38. Probably but with Bomber, he has expressed that he wants to stay with Glasgow until he retires, loves the track, can't see him not at Glasgow

  40. I can see them winning tonight and if Harris was guesting I would think with a decent lead but not enough lead to win on aggregate.

  41. Justin Sedgmen and Craig Cook are ruled out of the meeting due to injury, whilst Steve Worrall has been out with illness since earlier this summer. Worrall is replaced by his Glasgow team-mate Leon Flint whilst Workington’s Antti Vuolas is called up in place of Comets skipper Cook. Meanwhile Plymouth’s Ben Barker comes in for Sedgmen

  45. Emil gave an interview with canal + a few hours ago. Didn’t mention coming back to England although the question “why do you ride in England when you don’t need to” was asked. He replied about how much he learnt on English tracks, more telling, he said after the race today he feels 100% fit with no soreness at all. Hmmm, if he doesn’t get banned maybe back for Thursday? Or the season is over for him in England, only he will really know.
