Think you need to reread the thread, some wanted Sheffield to use no guests3 points

McGurk's a danger at this level! Well done Tobias. Came over a day early for some practice, bought/rented an engine from Richard Lawson and got Rider of the Night! The do'nuts are back. Fair play to all the experts who said it would be closer than the League meeting!! Phew......đ2 points

Thought we were going to hit the curfew there. Eric Boocock wasnât giving the mic back They arenât half dragging this meeting out2 points

Yeah, I don't get where the Trigger negativity is coming from, I'd rate him above Hodder, Coles, James, Garrad, McGurk, Atkins, Leibmann, Pijper & Perry of the riders who have been in Championship 1-7s this year.2 points

Best of luck to those plucky, injury ravaged, so brave, underdogs from Poole.... If they somehow manage to get 30 points it will be a moral victory. .2 points

He has not had a head injury/concussion (may have been initial thought). He is hoping to be at Kings Lynn tomorrow riding for the Spires. Depending on Drâs advice.1 point

I dont think there can be one right minded person who actually believes that this new venue will ever be built. Considering he spoke against Speedway at the Coventry planning permission case, even Osborne himself must be amazed that any council, or newspaper, is actually taking his part in this seriously.1 point

I imagine that they will submit plans and then the council will allow the abbey to be demolished for housing and then they wonât go ahead with the new track. just like Reading.1 point

Just caught up with this and like everybody else I've got to say what a complete shambles of a televised sporting production in almost every aspect... I was half expecting Mick Fleetwood and Sam Fox to put in an appearance at some point!1 point

Maybe some people should cut Trigger some slack as he doesn't have to accept the guest booking and even with Vinnie having a 4 point average not a lot of options. Trigger is probably one of the best available considering can't use Hook (guested last week) or Killeen (riding for Oxford). Just don't expect him to do what Vinnie was doing as not many riders under 3 point average score 6-8 points a meeting! As long as he beats Sam McGurk when they meet, job done really. He was competitive last time, just needs to gate a tiny bit more and will be in the points especially as you never know what Starke is going to do!1 point

You must be deluded if you think the track was bladed at the request of a visiting rider. Its more likely it was bladed because everybody was complaining about it and it was on Eurosport for everybody to see.1 point

Isn't that just a case of a gamble taken by the management though ? Your last line sums it up, that your team 100% relied on the top 2 firing on all cylinders. It was the same last year, especially away from home, where the bulk of the points always came from Doyle and Emil. Bringing in Ellis strengthened the 1-5 this season, as has Thompson's performance, but it was a huge gamble to put all your eggs in 2 baskets so to speak. Sheffield in a similar situation in that they chose to run with 2 rising stars this season in order to have a stronger 1-5. Losing Tai has had a massive impact due to the way the team was built and running R/R away from home has been a struggle at times, but what can you do when 6 out of 7 are riding on the same night ? Both managers took a chance with their team structures this season, and both have suffered for it, but without the injuries they would have been way ahead of everyone else.1 point

After all the pile on over the Sheffield track are we going to discuss the joke that was served up last night? Or is Sheffield only track thatâs allowed to be deemed dangerous? Both home and away riders couldnât turn bike, riders falling through bends. Nicholls almost embarrassed to have to explain what was happening with the track on Eurosport1 point
