To be honest I would tell him not to bother coming over again he won't be missed and has been a big waste of money, no commitment.4 points

2021 just fell right for Peterborough and having a high scoring reserve played to our all round strength, Rob Lyon played a full part in the team’s success which wasn’t really expected from anyone, Ulrich riding superbly at the start whilst a reserve and then getting hurt whilst No 1 didn’t go against us either. Sometimes things just fall into place and 2021 was one such occasion and very enjoyable it was.3 points

The Speedway Control Bureau (SCB) were aware that King's Lynn's Benjamin Basso returned from his recent shoulder injury to represent his Polish League Club Lodz on the 3rd August 2024. Despite Mr Basso competing in four races, he was withdrawn from his fifth heat and subsequently suffered a reoccurrence of his previous shoulder injury. The SCB were informed on the 5th August 2024 that due to this reoccurrence shoulder injury Mr Basso would not be available to return to the King's Lynn team in their fixture versus Leicester also on the 5th August 2024 and the home fixture against Belle Vue on the 8th August 2024. The SCB requested that a new medical certificate would be required to avoid Mr Basso receiving a suspension of his SCB Registration. A new medical certificate was received by the SCB on the 6th August 2024. Therefore, as Mr Basso had received this injury whilst representing his Polish Club and the SCB had received a new medical certificate, the SCB Regulation 010.5 g) would allow King's Lynn a facility for a period up to 28 days from the 5th August 2024 Kings Lynn have been informed that if Mr Basso competes in any other events during this period then that’s fine by them As of the 12th August 2024, if the facility has not been extended then Mr Basso and Kings Lynn can do what the hell they like. When asked why this statement differed from that put out by the SCB just six weeks earlier they responded saying “one team was from Manchester - der”3 points

I have attended 32 meetings in the UK so far this season. The racing has been mixed as you would expect. One thing I have noticed is the amount of meetings that start later than advertised. Often it appears for no reason. As someone who attends meeting on public transport this is an important factor to me. However whenever I attend a Leicester meeting, 3 times so far, 2 x Lions and a Cubs meeting they start on time. That is the first race at the publicised start time, the parade, minutes applause etc. happens before this. I don't know who is responsible for the timing, but they should be congratulated for their professionalism & doing a good job.3 points

Plumes of dust from heat one. Blue groove from heat 8. Compare that to Belle vue who had neither. the riders need a decent stage to perform.2 points

Prediction: Birmingham 44 Leicester 46. Honestly looking at the teams I'd have Brummies down for a 2 points win, but they have a knack of riding terribly whenever they look to have a chance, so can easily see them lose every match for the rest of the season.2 points

As long as Rowe races one league match, then he'd be using his 23 & 24 matches for his rolling ave. Gibes him a much better chance of finding a Champ spot in 25.2 points

No I mean he'll get his 2023 champ average. Sure that's what happened with gilkes on next set of averages with Redcar. He's also not a guest now as declared in 1-72 points

He took the wee out of Wolves but we didn’t stand for no nonsense. Yet again the Poles showing complete contempt for British speedway, get rid.2 points

He takes the 'p#ss' when he does ride as well! A complete waste of money! As said before...he must be on a 'guaranteed' contract...I cant imagine any other club putting up with him this season!2 points

I rather suspect Poland don’t give them the choice, they ride or they start paying back sone of their start money is what I have heard, a bit more flexibility in the UK where we don’t force riders to ride when they are clearly unfit to do so.2 points

League does not want watered down any further. Hopefully a minimum of 40 points for next season.2 points

We will never be like Poland. And we shouldn’t even try being. Of course we want to be like them but when old Doris next to you complains to the stewards because you cursed a few bad words and shouted loudly you don’t stand a chance1 point

Jack Smith has a higher average than Pearson, so he'd be next in line if Rowe & Ivacic aren't allowed1 point

They are, but also getting stitched up by the landlord on an annual basis. If the Prem was to move to Wednesday nights then things might change.1 point

I get the comments about polish clubs shielding their assets but that remark falls short when nobody on here I’ve seen has yet to mention basso took part in the danish individual championship as well where he rode on the 7th August?1 point

Not saying I wouldn't go for Pijper, but Springer on a 2.00 average seems a good shout too.1 point

Believe me if Poole are struggling, well around 12 clubs won't be coming to the tapes next season! Poole are making a 'business decision' based on maxing profits, which as a business model makes sense. Massive potential to attract more NEW sponsors to the club in the area, which would allow us to move up. Personally for me we pay £19 all other clubs in the champ are £20.00/Glasgow is £22.00 for a grandstand seat that I used a few weeks back. Put those costs against Oxford Premiership team £22.00 or Sheffield £23.00 to watch some of the GP riders. Not a massive amount in it and a higher level of rider to watch. Poole won't be moving up sadly, but my concern for the business model next season will likely see lesser quality come to the tapes as we have to let riders go due to the team average. IF that does happen I already know a few that won't be attending, over the past 2 years I have seen our group who attend dropped by 8 people! the reason not interested in going to watch Poole in the championship which I respect as their decision and choose to part their money into other activities in the BCP area. Everyone has an opinion on this and mine will always be, the fanbase and sponsors Poole have they should be sitting at the top table of British Speedway as they did from 1997-2019. But it wont be happening! Poole will be championship in 2025.1 point

I can understand that with the sporadic nature of UK fixtures these days that it's quite conceivable that riders can be riding in between British fixtures and aggravating injuries etc. Why the SCB were so trigger happy in giving Covatti a 28 day ban when he first came back for Plymouth and was still clearly not fit is beyond me, they made a rod for their own back there... only to then not apply that same ruling to all of the others who have done exactly the same thing.1 point

My thoughts exactly but still seen in a very bad light by many on here. That opinion saddens me to be honest.1 point

I think regarding basso is that he isn’t fit but under pressure from Poland to ride regardless. But lynn shouldn’t get a facility for him as he has returned to riding three times since his uk absence.1 point

Lions to punch their ticket to the play-offs tonight. Birmingham riders cant ride their own track, They're better away from Perry Barr.1 point

So the Race for 4th and the final Play-off starts to get interesting this weekend. Assuming Poole, Oxford, Scunthorpe have already qualified there are still 4 teams who can take the final spot. Have only disregarded Berwick and Edinburgh from this list. Scunthorpe have Poole and Oxford left at home, so would only have to win 1 of those, given how strong they are at home it's unlikely they end in 2 defeats. Who will make it? _____________________________ 4th Redcar Rode 14 Meetings 14 Points Meetings remaining Plymouth (H) Agg 4 point lead Glasgow (A) Agg 10 point lead Max points - 20 _______________________________ 5th Workington Rode 13 Meetings 14 Points Meetings remaining Berwick (A) Berwick (H) Plymouth (H) Agg 4 point lead Max Points - 22 _______________________________ 6th Glasgow Rode 10 Meetings 11 Points Meetings remaining Edinburgh (A) Plymouth (A) Agg 26 point lead Edinburgh (H) Oxford (H) Oxford (A) Redcar (H) Agg 10 point deficit Max Points - 27 _______________________________ 9th Plymouth Rode 11 Meetings 10 Points Meetings remaining Glasgow (H) Agg 20 point deficit Redcar (A) Agg 4 point deficit Workington (A) Agg 4 point deficit Poole (H) Agg 20 point deficit Oxford (H) Agg 12 point deficit Max Points - 251 point

From your 2 posts I assume you've not heard of the butterfly effect? I'll assume no seen as you're assumptions that each result would've followed the previous one or that it will follow the result you've decided it will be. Heat 15 for example what motivation did Edwards and bomber have? Just been shafted can't win the meeting and bonus was secure. Given they'd the better of barker and Thompson all night you'd think with motivation a 1-5 would not have been the result. Anyway I'm sure you'll have some smart ass I know better than you response lined up but I've made my point1 point
