Stop bleating on about it. You lost. How about you accept you were beaten by the better team, take it like a man and move on? The rule book didn't 'gift' Glasgow the title, they still had to go out on the track and win it....and that's exactly what they did. The title was won thanks to an excellent signing and some excellent riding.9 points

If the Poole track was outside my back window I'd shut the curtains!6 points

The Bailey situation is stupid, forcing a club to use guests when they want to replace a (temporarily) retired rider is ludicrous. This all comes about when they change rules say due to the Robert Lambert play-off issues, but don't consider the ramifications. Trying to fix one problem often causes another.6 points

Don't forget most riders had been signed up before Worky were confirmed in the Championship. I think Celina was worth a punt and she is undoubtedly quick when in front. It was her poor gating, bravery in first corners and perceived inability to improve her race position when behind that were evident. If she can improve these there is no doubting her bike skills . Like you say Celina not really scoring points will probably have increased the pressure on Sam.4 points

What a sad little comment. If the Premiership can’t fill 6 spots then there is no Premiership. No guarantee Birmingham will still be around in ‘25. So if anything you wishing the demise of Lynn would in turn probably lead to the demise of whatever hole of a team you support4 points

And one thing you can say about most Poole fans is that they are honest and truthful.3 points

Very much doubt it was done during the meeting. More than likely before Fridays meeting I would imagine.3 points

If Musielak was fit he could ride for King's Lynn, but he announced he wasn't fit enough to race in GB. Why would he want to sign for another club if he's not fit enough to ride over here? Unless of course he wasn't truthful when he left Lynn, then that's his own fault.3 points

Think we can just sneak B Cook in by 0.1… Will be interesting to see if any new riders are announced on Friday following this meeting knowing that Ipswich and Sheffield will definitely have both completed 75% of fixtures and ensuring that neither can sign Musielak3 points

Each to their own. The Prem meetings I have seen on tv or stream haven't produced any more exciting racing than those in Championship - in some cases a heck of a lot worse! Still as many processional races because there aren't so called 'top' riders in every race. But as I've said each to their own.3 points

As you regularly demonstrate!! Anyway with all this talk about Poole going back up, why did Glasgow not go up after winning the league last year and with their 'super facilities' and 'super racing'? Was it because they didn't want to run Mons/Thurs? Just like Poole then?!2 points

Brum CAN continue (as announced last night) and Poole won't be going back up.2 points

I’m going too hazard a guess here It will be overwatered with more bumps than a 3 year olds head playing on a climbing frame.2 points

There's a saying up here about one of the big clubs, "always cheated never defeated since 1888". I won't say which one but it seems to apply to some Poole fans!2 points

So, yet another nail in the coffin for my dwindling enthusiasm for this joke sport.Workington have raced 15 of their original scheduled 20 matches or 75%?yet are allowed to make a team change.Yet when Redcar lost a rider(Bailey)due to withdrawal we aren’t allowed to sign anyone even though at the time we had raced the same amount. Now if Workington’s qualifying for the semi of BSN counts in their allowance, that’s a hidden bonus for them?even though those matches should have taken place ages ago. Also this 75% rule might shed some light on why some teams are holding back fixtures to give themselves more time to make possible rider changes. This is not a dig at Workington, just me being disgruntled with the sport after 52 years2 points

It's a development league... Not many outside of the followers of the sport will be able to name 3 speedway teams of any level, let alone who the "Champions" are.. The majority of NDL lads will never make a living out of the sport so either ride as a "hobby" or ride in the hope that maybe one day they will get to pro level... If they are not there, then there isn't any racing to watch...2 points

Isn’t Simon suffering from shingles ? Riders like Simon are the engine rooms of teams If he scores 2 or 12 you know he has given his all.2 points

I think you’re just used to an inferior product at Poole. There’s a big difference between the quality of opposition racing against the Cheetahs and the Spires at Oxford. You’re never going to get the wow factor of watching Richard Lawson compared to Emil Sayfutdinov.1 point

4 seasons as rising star and unable to get out of reserve berth suggests he not really shown any significant improvement.Still young but journeyman rider making a living out of the sport looks best bet at this time. Brennan is moving in the right direction compared with Leon.1 point

Lindgren has been a complete and utter disaster. Birmingham should have paid Artem Laguta the money. Artem is a World Champion. Freddie is a Bridesmaid. @stevebrum - Why is Freddie so poor?1 point

Long time coming dropping Celina if you ask me. What’s she done apart from win what, 2 races? Can carry one reserve but not 2. Anyone saying they should got rid of Sam needs to give there head a big ol wobble. He’s a young British rider, who yeah is struggling this year. But, them struggles have been made worse with having added pressure on him because his reserve partner isn’t up to scratch. Celina should never have been signed, I said it at the time and I’ll stick by that.1 point

It was a 5 point average! Stupid rule, but opposition clubs should have pointed out the flaws pre-season, so can't complain after Glasgow won.1 point

Well said. Oxford were also beaten by Tarasenko and Glasgow over two legs, which meant they didn't make the playoff final. In fact, the aggregate score was closer than the final against Poole. However, I didn't see one Oxford fan complaining like some Poole fans - they simply congratulated the Tigers and moved on. It seems some (not all, to be fair) Poole fans love to gloat when they win, but simply can't take it when the lose.1 point

Can the club sort out the P.A. system as it is awful ,especially the one facing the stand after the start finish. Can the announcer, the result announcer and the DJ also have some system between them so they are not playing music and trying to talk over one another. On a positive ,the scoreboard and count down are working well. Rant over.1 point

As I understand the rules, when Starke didn't have a club if Glasgow needed a replacement for Smith or Pearson, Starke could say to the BSPL "can I guest for my old club, show them there's no hard feelings" to which they'd reply "nope, can't allow that". But now he's signed for Workington if the same situation occurred he could say "can I guest for my old team & try to knock my new team out of the play-offs" to which they'd reply "yes, of course".1 point

With all due respect this forum is not the place for relying on official sources Infact I would suggest that the biggest positive of this platform is the very fact that there are a good number of well informed unofficial sources allowing you (if you are prepared to be open to it) be much more aware of what is actually going on Not everything will be 100% accurate and if you insist on proof and sources you won't get them You will also find that there is significant restainst shown in many cases with much being watered down or not even posted - your toes would curl at some situations that will never see the light of day on here.......1 point

As you say the truth is likely different and may involve broken promises and missing money Perhaps the fitness issue was being sick of Buster and Lynn.....1 point

I was just joining in with you re the pathetic commenting - after all you had just stated you hoped a rider would be prevented from signing a legitimate contract to earn a living whilst also hoping 2 teams go into the finals of the sports premier competitions with depleted resources Devil's advocate suitably demonstrated....1 point

If Glasgow get 30, I will be surprised, we are woeful, would have been better before the changes, losing Stevie has been a massive disadvantage, Ivacic is not even fit for reserve spot and Leon is very inconsistent, thank goodness for Harris and to some extent Pearson, Jack Smith has also given us entertainment at home, not so much away. When I saw the initial team, I thought it was poor, can't believe we have actually made it worse, roll on 2025, hopefully with an improvement. Our biggest loss was not having Basso, he was formidable at Ashfield alongside Bomber. At least we still have him to watch going round the boards so to speak.1 point

I don’t support Kings Lynn. It’s an opinion. The guests were good, but I’d also expect Basso and Musielak (or a.n other of his standard) to score 19 between them at home. Leicester have picked up the last few meeting and are now showing a bit of form, but they’ve been pretty poor most of the season. Lynn have a decent looking side when everyone is fit. Injuries and the problem with Musielak at 1 has killed them.1 point

Lambert wouldn't be allowed would he,surely he has to sign before Sheffield complete 75% of their matches. They only have 1 more match to do for their 75%.They wouldn't let Lambert guest unless he was in another teams 1-7 and that team finishes outside of the play off places.1 point

While Barker doesn't seem a great guest, Glasgow wouldn't get anything out of this match whoever they got, so he won't cost them. Tbh i'd have gone with r/r give my own riders more track time.1 point

Only miles out with Lawson mate.oh and the result . King's Lynn miles better than Sheffield and could quite easily had hit mid 50's.Just shows what a couple of decent guests can do for the team. J.Holder and Pickering were awful for Sheffield to be honest, they definitely cost Sheffield some points. You do expect more from young Holder when you think where he is on the world stage. Everyone on the Lynn side done their bit,all getting either a win or a paid win. Leicester next week looks a toughie with how the guests went tonight. We need to get in nice and early on the guest front, don't want to be found wanting like last week.1 point

No disrespect to Jake Mulford but Flint should not be getting done by him on his own 5h1t heap!1 point

not a track expert by any means, but looks as though they dumped a load of water on the surface which seemed to spoil the first 4 heats. shouldn’t they try to get the moisture into the track rather than leave it on the surface? once a rider was behind they just seemed to get filled in which has meant some poor racing so far.1 point

Yes but then you would get an abundance of teams who were out of the play off / title hunt signing 4 point foreigners for the latter part of the season, getting them to drop their average and then sign up the following year on 2/3 taking the place of a potential brit (or brit with potential). Im not 1000% convinced about dropping the lower limit for 2.00 for Brits either. In my mind riders should be getting places because they are good enough simple as, not just because their low average allows points to be used to sign stronger riders elsewhere.1 point
