Is anyone else having problems with the picture breaking up? Coverage has been crap tonight.5 points

Brilliant team changes. Not! Ps I don't blame Killeen, he scored as well as a Championship reserve can be expected to.5 points

Paco guests for Piotr, yet another piss take, he was fit enough to ride Saturday and Sunday but not deemed fit enough to ride tonight, Birmingham are also using Zach Cook as a guest for Sedgy who has concussion, personally I think it's time Brum actually called time on this years Polish experiment and told Pawlicki not to bother coming again.5 points

This is probably true but tell the fans pawlicki has been crap and is costing us a fortune so we are making a change, don’t fob the fans off with some lame excuse which isn’t true4 points

Musielak has been involved in UK Speedway for a few years now, and has been as good as Gold to more than one club over here. A loyal servant if you like. Until this year. It’s always Lynn isn’t it? The BSPL should do the right thing and allow him to earn a living elsewhere.4 points

Cash presentations from Poole R.E.F. to Vinnie and Richard on Wednesday.4 points

Clearly the obvious thing to do... And also clearly why the sport isn't taken seriously in the UK... Bringing in Lambert to replace Fricke is seen as a "bad thing", yet not having a full team of your own riders, and, instead, cherry picking riders from other teams on a "horses for courses" basis, to give your team a better chance of winning, is "absolutely fine"...4 points

Or Oxford instead of Killeen? For a rider who has done well in the Prem, is surprisingly overlooked.3 points
-
I believe for it to count as gambling there has to be at least a chance of a positive outcome.....3 points
-
Totally agree with all of that. It's the same riders wether it's the league, KOC, bsn or a challenge match. Not sure why people choose to go to a league match but not the others?3 points
-
That would be a sensible suggestion for a team like Birmingham or Lynn who have no chance of the play-offs, very odd attitude for a team can can still finish in the top 4.3 points

They could do the unthinkable and lower the admission prices... or how about just actually staging a meeting now and again?3 points

That happens over here as well, but the atmosphere and professional run show is on a different planet in Poland.3 points

If only it were only 2 wrongs - even you lot in Norfolk don't have enough fingers and toes to keep up with that count3 points

Felt sorry for Birmingham tonight, the win was there but this time it was Brennan who was poor. Flint was also shocking. Good to watch and a close finish but was rooting for the Brummies.2 points

Credit to Oxford tonight score line doesn’t reflect the efforts. Some of the best racing I’ve seen at nss this year.2 points
-
A team nearly 8 points under the limit goes close to the bonus, fair effort. Just think what we could have done. Maybe next year2 points

Yes same here, I thought tv licensing had finally got me but sounds like everyone is having the same issues.2 points

Is there any point Oxford having a team manager? Where's the tac sub Peter? Heat 9 was surely the time to use it. Edit: Guess heat 12 was better than nothing. Still shocked he didn't wait until heat 14.2 points

Team Speedway ran in the Mickey Mouse way it is over here has no chance of success... Regardless of who rides over here... Nice to see Max tonight helping Sheffield into the play offs... The fans of Leicester must be delighted for the Tigers...2 points

Agree but you do not need GP riders to attract respect and put bums on seats, just get Emil to turn up and you really appreciate how good it can be. You want to be entertained and rarely is that happening but that does not solve the fundamental problem, speedway simply does not excite enough people to part with the cash to watch it live. It needs to be more than 15 races and should be part of a spectacular with the league meeting being part of an event be it other speedway disciplines or short track etc. speedway as a sole form of entertainment in this country will not attract enough income from turnstile receipts, it needs more umph and someone with enough louse to drive it forward, not the dinosaurs who oversee the product.2 points
-
Probably that many pigeons but not spectators unless you count those in the surrounding flats sitting on the balconies. The sport really needs to drop main channel coverage and allow BSN or others to stream live. Sparse crowds are doing so much damage given the chalk and cheese situation when even lower leagues in Poland attract more spectators. Accept the fact that sport cannot compete with Poland and move on.2 points

Maybe it's the technical nature of British tracks that aggravates his injuries?2 points

Like every top rider I’d imagine 80% of their earnings come from Poland. Musielak has ridden for Wolverhampton , Swindon and Sheffield without any issues and not missing meetings at a moments notice unlike many poles who haven’t been as committed to British speedway.2 points

While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I can't believe anyone other than Peter Schroeck thinks this is the "secret ingredient" to make the play-offs. What about Paco Castagna, Zach Cook, Connor Mountain or Cameron Heeps?2 points

Absolutely. I started going over to Poland in 2008 to see Ekstraliga matches and went every year up to and including 2019. it was immediately obvious from our very first match at Zielona Gora that speedway was, as you say, just on a different planet there to the UK version. We've taken in several second-tier matches too through the years, and they've been excellent presentations too. As I posted a few posts back, I was at Wroclaw on Friday night after an unintended break away from Poland for 5 years, and, although I've seen just as good - and some better - racing at the NSS, the whole package of attending an Ekstraliga match is an experience to behold. Since getting home, I've watched the match back on TV and, unfortunately, you cannot really get a sense of what it's like to be there in the crowd and watch everything unfold in front of you. To anyone who hasn't been yet - and is physically and financially able to do so - I'd certainy urge them to give it a try.2 points

Theres a bit of a problem , but it would be great entertainment to watch on Aug BH Monday . Sayfutdinov & NKI going one way round the AFA and the big van bangers going the other way around at the sametime,2 points

First part, 100% agree, calling off matches due to missing riders is never a good idea, who knows what the weather will be like later in the season. Let alone if there would be further injury problems. Second part great attitude to have, just because they have guests and/or are weaker than normal, doesn't mean you won't get any good racing.2 points

I never said they was adequate, but people say there’s not enough riders in British speedway. There clearly is, if you had 2 foreign riders plus 4 from the list above you could have a team. I didn’t say anything about them replacing the injured riders at lynn2 points

You're clutching at straws here pal. Yes you we're missing your number 1, but Lasse was replaced by Sam Hagon who is arguably better. We were missing Tate, which wouldn't have been so bad if we had a full team as they all could take a ride, but we didn't. We had one poor quality NDL rider and a rider who doesn't even have an NDL team and would struggle in that league. The point is we had no chance of competing. You had a full team of championship level riders. There's no comparison here so stop while you can.2 points

Now then,2 wrongs don't make a right,or so I was told by someone who liked your post.2 points

Yet a team can drop a rider at any time with no notice and no financial liability Qutting/withholding services carries a 28 day ban - once served he should be free to ride elsewhere If not every dropped rider should be due a full seasons income for such a binding contract2 points

And this is one of the reasons, the riders think they run the sport and take the piss at times2 points

Agree, but not many other weeks to choose from since the Olympics starts this week. Event needs to be spread out more, like if the final is in Manchester they qualifying event can be at two other tracks in other parts of the UK so to attract different spectator groups? I also think that SON/SWC needs to be reduced to a biannual event (preferable odd years to avoid clashed with Olympics and Euro/world cup where SON/SWC alternates = if SON next year, then next event is SWC in 2027 and then SON in 2029.1 point

Bonus point was looking questionable all meeting but Belle Vue won it in fantastic heat 15, great racing throughout with Oxford riders getting stuck in.1 point

I thought the Cheetahs made a mistake keeping him, he's proved me wrong. Think he would be a better choice as reserve for the Spires than Killeen. Nothing against Killeen, I'm sure he'll be a better option in future seasons.1 point

I saw an X-Ray Ben posted on FB - think it was Saturday - that he said had been done in Poland confirming broken shoulder despite UK one on Thurs evening saying nothing broken. Think it was on a Toktok or Reel so can’t find it again. Hope that helps.1 point
