Tate has released the following statement from his hospital bed:- Tate Zischke 1h · Hello everyone just want to jump on and thank everyone for all the messages and hospital visits this means a lot I haven't been able to get back to everyone but thanks everyone. It's going to be a long bumpy road to recovery I will spend the coming weeks in hospital fighting to get better each day. It has been a rough few days so far but we will keep flighting. So far I can let you all know I have fractured 7 vertebrae and 5 ribs and have a nasty entry and exit hole in my left bum cheek where I was penetrated by my bike when I followed by bike into the fence. I have so far had 1 surgery on my ass cheek and have been told I will need a couple more in the coming days. I want to let everyone know this crash was 100% a racing incident and nobody is at fault. I will keep everyone updated on what is happening next Good to read that he doesn't blame Keynan Rew in any way for the accident. Wish him well.13 points

Message to racegoers from the Belle Vue Charitable Trust For those racegoers unaware, Belle Vue has a Trust which was set up to support our riders and other charitable initiatives, supporting those in need of help. For those who contribute regularly to the 50:50 draw and Chase's White Line Challenge, those proceeds go into the trust to raise funds for these causes. Following Tate's crash on Monday, the Trust has got to action and kindly agreed to pay for Tate's Mum's flight to the UK from Australia so she can be with him as he enters his next stage of recovery. The trust has also been liaising with the team at the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund who will support with expenses whilst here in the UK and we're sure the other crowd funding / fundraising initiatives will help him get back on his feet, replace damaged equipment and cover expenses in the months to come. All of this would not be possible without the tremendous support we receive week in week out from the supporters of Belle Vue Speedway and the unfailing efforts of David Burroughs and his Belle Vue Speedway Supporters Club (BVSSC) team. And not forgetting, the great support shown at tracks across the country for Benevolent Fund track collections. A huge thank you to you all and a huge personal thank you. Philip Gunning, Chair of Trustees.6 points

Whatever individual track loyalties are, I cannot believe that any true speedway fans on here are not 100% supportive of what the Panthers Consortium are trying so hard to achieve!6 points

What about all the previous swallows? (see below) It hasn't. Kye's 'average counting' scores so far this season: BSN Series Berwick (A) 4+1 (4) Berwick (H) 10 (4) Glasgow (A) 7+1 (4) Glasgow (H) 7+3 (4) Championship Plymouth (H) 14+3 (7) Workington (A) 4+1 (5) Oxford (A) 8 (4) Oxford (H) 5+1 (4) Redcar (A) 3+1 (4) Scunny (H) 9+1 (4) Scunny (A) 4+1 (4) Plymouth (A) 0 (4) Poole (A) 8+1 (4) Yes, granted, he's hot and cold but he is a 6.50ish rider. What are you expecting? Double figures every week? Monarchs' averages this season are slightly skewed in that the H / A split is currently 5H and 8A. That, generally, keeps a rider's stats lower and highlights the negative. Kye has achieved above his average at home in all meetings bar Oxford. Away, he's reached the 6.50 'target' on 3 occasions - Glasgow, Oxford and Poole. He's also the bonus point king within the team. His '2024 meetings only' average is a full point lower than the 'including bonus' figure. Indeed, his 14 bonus points are only matched / bettered in the Championship by Jake Mulford, Luke Harrison, Craig Cook (all 14), Kyle Howarth (15), Sam Masters (16) and Jacob Hook (19). All hail those looking after job security... As I said, yes, he's hot and cold. But he's not the biggest problem in the side. Good luck to Kye for the rest of the season.4 points

a relief to hear that Tate is staying upbeat and an admirably humble and thoughtful post under the circumstances i look forward to seeing him return next year, undeniably one of the hottest prospects on the scene4 points

Have to question Oxford's team manager (again). Putting Riss in heat 15, means he's one of the top two Oxford riders. So as he's at reserve, why not give him an extra ride before heat 15?3 points

Belle Vue Speedway Trust Announcement. Following the events of Monday evening, the Trust has been in discussion with the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund and has agreed to provide Tate's mother with the air fare to travel to the UK, from Australia, to be with her son. The Trust will also contribute to any additional welfare that is required during her stay, over and above that which the SRBF will provide. Whilst it is too early to be precise, the Trust intends to provide further assistance to Tate during his period of rehabilitation, be it in the UK, or back in Australia. All this would not be possible without the tremendous support we receive week in week out from the Supporters of Belle Vue and the unfailing efforts of David Burroughs and his team from the BVSSC. A huge thank you to you all. Philip Gunning Chair of Trustees. The trust money comes from fans doing 50/50 draws, interval ball game etc.3 points

I like Max - but lets keep it real - Sam Hagon won the race he replaced Max in achieving a 3-3 - a 1-5 or even a 2-4 at that stage could have changed the outcome. Poole are a professional sports team - its business and its right to take care of it regardless of emotions3 points

Hi There were RUMOURS a few days ago that they might call this meeting off, due to the England match being on the same day at 5pm. We have tapes up normally at 3pm. There is no sign yet, on any Comets media site that its going to be cancelled or an earlier start time, so I presume it will just be the normal 3pm start. Current Met Office Forecast is 60% chance of a heavy shower, but Sunny Spells all afternoon too.2 points

And yet after making progress they still replaced him in heat eight. He would have been off of gate one, where I think he would have had a good chance of beating Connor Coles. He had already beat his opposite number in heat two..Hagon was a bit up and down to be fair. So it would have been nice to see Max get his full programmed rides.2 points

Well done Max Perry for deservedly getting Rider of the Night from the meeting sponsor.2 points

They also have a consistent core to their team, with riders generally returning year to year with only the odd change. Must help the fans to create a bond with the team instead of a rag tag random 1 to 7 turning up week to week, season to season2 points

Poole have a winning team and the crowd turns up... They don't have a winning team and they stop going in the same numbers... The racing standard doesn't seem to be so much of a factor as to crowd size, unlike at many other tracks....2 points
-
I have said many times... Literally tens of millions of pounds will be, and have been, spent in the top two divisions in particular, on riders who clearly haven't grown the sport in the past two decades by their presence... Yet, a pittance on marketing, which may have delivered better results... And also there has been a complete reluctance to "try something new" when "same old, same old" clearly wasn't (and still isn't) working... The (previous) NDL seemed to be the most successful and best ran league by a considerable distance... Maybe someone should reflect on why that was....2 points

Not all Edinburgh fans hate Kye, there is only a small minority that post on here Hats off to wee Sedgy tonight, great effort - and Picko will be back, very uncharacteristic meeting for him2 points
-
But on the flip side if wasn't a trappers paradise would sedgy have got 14? Always frustrating to see your no.1 score so poorly but never just as easy as saying if he'd scored 10 you'd have won 50-40. But if picko and Ben cook can't pass on a track you know it's bad2 points

Fast Freddie turning into No show Freddie already. Suppose Brum have just got to accept it whenever Freddie doesn't feel like turning up as they've got no chance of replacing him with a like for like permanent signing who's fully committed to British racing.2 points

Hoping to attend the rearranged fixture, is there any danger of another rain off or is the weather looking OK up north1 point

Good on him. Many knew he wouldn’t blame Rew. AceBellend is an unfortunate exception but as soon as it happened I think we all pretty much knew it would be him coming on here and knew exactly which direction he would be sending it1 point

There's no BSN nor KO Cup in my "brave new world" of 2H 2A. NDL clubs would generally be expected to run on a night other than the parents race night, leaving the Championship side free to arrange meetings on these nights. Belle Vue and Leicester have no problem doing this. Middlesbrough raced Belle Vue on Friday June 7, a night that could have been used to restage the rained off Glasgow v Redcar fixture which currently doesn't look likely until September.1 point

Great to here from Nicolai. Came across as a decent bloke, and with a strong mentally, which is a big bonus in our sport.1 point

The only time noise has been an issue at Poole is whenever there is something on during the midweek daytime eg practice laps or on P&P day when its agreed with the neighbouring school that there will be no track noise before 3pm. Relationships with the school are excellent, to the point that overflow matchday car parking is utilised on the school grounds!1 point

You really have got it bad and obviously in need of help ................ I would guess there are several psychiatrists listed on the net if you look hard enough!!1 point

It's quite wrong that the NDL tail is being allowed to wag the Championship dog. Things must change for next year. All Championship teams signed up for a theoretical maximum of 18 home meetings - 8 league; 4 BSN; 4 KO Cup and 2 Play offs - so 16 league meetings (2H and 2A) and two play offs would be the same commitment .1 point
