It was not funny when Woffinden fell off ... very few falls are. He picked up some grip and did well to dump his bike into the last bit of air fence on the 4th bend. British Speedway has been crying out for some personalities and, dare I say it, "baddies", but now Woffinden is fulfilling that sort of role, people start moaning! Before the meeting, Woffinden was the only rider I saw who stopped and talked to fans, posing for numerous photos/selfies, before going into the pits.8 points

Could someone please start a special topic for @Trackrat and @LagutaRacingFan to post in so they can leave the rest of us in peace?4 points

Sadly this will go down as my dad's last meeting (well over 1500 home meetings at Owlerton) as he passed away suddenly in the early hours of today. He first went as a 17 year old in 1960,the track record was about 72 seconds,he got to see Jack go round in 58.92 aged 81. He was still watching racing from Poland last evening on TV,first Jack's Polish team then when that got curtailed,we ended up watching big brother Chris and Tobi! It pleased him to see Kyle back on form,he liked riders like Kyle, the mainstay of league speedway riders down the years, but his absolute favorite rider was Jim Airey.2 points

You get idiots at most tracks I like to think that most supporters support speedway in general.I go to Sheffield to hopefully see good close racing if we win or lose not too bothered as long as the racing is good and close with all riders getting stuck in and there’s no injuries for me the main thing is that all the teams are still there next season2 points

Careful mate that’s a far too level headed, balanced post for this forum! Haha1 point

Tai held his hand which I think he was implying Scott or Emil hit him as they were close. He knew he wasn’t in the race so pulled off the track. Only to cut back in whilst the race was ongoing and the started doing wheelies. Once the race finished he came to the grandstand and started doing a burnout. This guy is random to be polite! Funny when he fell off though!1 point

Yes never the same after that, I asked him about it a couple of seasons ago and he thought at the time walking again might be difficult let alone riding again. One of those occasions where the whole crowd goes quiet.1 point

Another 28 day ban coming up... as his name is not Brady Kurtz1 point

16 from the guests which is probably 4 less then Doyle or Danny would have got between them and Emil still struggling Though we can’t judge it to much against a side who are beaten before they come to Foxhall …1 point

To be fair 4BM, can't see Jack taking 6 rides, he hates the place, as does his brother, but suspect Tai might like our track, especially if it's grippy like last week1 point

A local article about Bysarna who knows aims towards 500 cc activity and perhaps a 500 cc team in the future. https://www.svt.se/nyheter/lokalt/ost/speedwayklubben-bysarna-satsar-mot-toppen-igen-svt-traffar-framtidens-forare1 point

Imagining it i reckon because it’s held on the traing track out the back of the main stadium- wasn’t televised in 2023.1 point

The chanting is definitely out of place at a speedway meeting and when there's just one set doing it,it sounds even more ludicrous.1 point

I've been involved with speedway for 58 years but saturday was my first visit to the "new" Belle Vue, I was impressed with everything the Stadium, track & the racing! I think it's fair to say the best rider on the night won so congratulations Dan. Belle Vue is the best track in the country (thanks to Chris Morton) & is the perfect track for the British Final. Have people forgotten the carnage when the Finals were run @ Wolverhampton! One thing all british tracks lack is decent shale, I'm told the quarry/s that supplied it either no longer opperate or won't supply it to speedway tracks.1 point

Mountain only scored 4 at Leicester a few weeks back though, I’d expect Kemp to score a little more than that1 point

It was hammering down in BSE until about 10am, but has now stopped and is looking a tiny bit brighter... If it keeps improving here, hopefully it heads east!1 point

Thought it was a decent meeting. No rider dominated and the 2 tyres and having to think when to change the tyre or use the other edge gave it a slightly different tactical element.. Overall thought Bewley, Brennan and Woffinden were the standouts. Bewley with an excellent pass in the final and good to see former Eastbourne Eagle Tom Brennan qualify for British SGP at Cardiff. He has come a long way from his first race in the National League at Arlington that didn't last more than turn 1. Was also impressed with Anders Rowe who was in amongst it and deserves recognition for his efforts. Overall a pretty enjoyable meeting and the good to see a decent crowd and possibly the biggest flag in British Speedway - Redcar Bears1 point

I just saw a bit of it as they talking about it on magazine programme, when the presenter asked him “why he had Jason Doyle mechanics “and he replied “none of your business”1 point

Wozniak hung sayfutinov out to dry there, it could be argued Emil could of stayed on but imo emils forward momentum would of made him hit the fence anyway, so did the right thing to bail, ref got it wrong imo1 point

Delighted for Leon Flint who has qualified for this years SGP2 series after he came through his qualifying round in Macon France last night as I know it was high on his list of achievements for this season. The first of the three finals will be held at Malilla Sweden this coming Friday, the second final will be at Riga Latvia on the 6th of September with the third final at Torun Poland on the 27th of September.1 point

I could tell tales of arguments at speedway but 99% of fans are just genuine speedway fans. As for the bend 2 barmy army (about 6 people) they popped up after Covid I don’t think they’ve been going for long. The rivalry between Ipswich and Sheffield is down to both having strong teams and last years final was mostly respectful1 point

Great to see Dan get three on the bounce. Delighted that Tom B gets the wild card at Cardiff. great racing and lots of entertainment. Plaudits to Anders Rowe and Connor Mountain for producing a good performance in the British Final. The NSS IS A MARVELLOUS TRACK and should hold the British Final every year. You only have to listen to the riders when they applaud it as a great race track. Hyde road had the BLRCF every year and produced outstanding meetings …. often far superior to the one off World Finals Roll on the Speedway of Nations for another feast of entertainment and hopefully gold for GB. Hope that they now keep the final to a Saturday night so that there will be a greater attendance than on a Monday.1 point

I've never been a big Rory fan but this is sad news. I'd imagine that having retired once and come back, this may be career ending definitely season ending. With the exception of possibly R Worrall there would be very few replacements available, a fact that is overlooked in my opinion. It's all very well to hope for new clubs or returning clubs but where are the riders at heat leader level especially but also second string and credible reserves to staff them. Further reduction of second tier points limit or advent of six man teams would appear to be the only logical solution.1 point

Ricky Ashworth didn't hit the fence he hit his head on the track, Zaine Kennedy went through the backstraight fence (No track has air or polyfoam fences down their straights). You really need to research before spouting crap on forum's1 point
