Scraps again... Oxford must have decided to have Kerr back, so we'll pick up the left overs... again The website says he was signed 72 hours ago, I bet after Cook's performance last night Stewart Dickson must be searching around for his receipt today. A heat leader is needed, anything else is just tinkering around at the edges4 points

You need to get out more. Try going to Glasgow, Workington, Redcar, Oxford or Scunthorpe for example. Broaden your horizons a little.4 points

Well your post is about speedway skids, majority of posts on recent poole threads have pretty much been garbage3 points

First time I’ve seen Leicester this season but I would have said Becker was the biggest issue in that side, only 5 points at home from a guy people are clambering over to be in the GPs isn’t a great return when the scoreline made the home side look so dominant.3 points

Oh come on I know you’ll want to justify a win by making claims you’d have won anyway even if Ipswich were at full strength but we all know that’s not true. Klindt 7 points from 6 rides and Batchelor 6 points from 5 isn’t particularly impressive. I think King and Ellis would have improved on that. End of the day a win is a win, Birmingham were handed a golden opportunity and grabbed it with both hands which is all that matters.3 points

Still stunned by how many thought that Oxford were a great side who would win the league . Could never get my head around it.3 points

There is no doubt he has under estimated the resolve of Speedway supporters locally and indeed nationally. He was warned about this eighteen months or so ago and to not underestimate the strength of support, but scoffed at the mere thought of it. The Speedway club is now his biggest problem and shows no sign of going away. The pressure is obviously building hence his recent rant. In fact we don’t need to make him come across as an idiot, he does it for us.2 points
-
Maybe not if he was somewhere else, but at Birmingham, he's now their 5 and is showing good signs of being up to the challenge2 points

What a condescending prick that guy is..acting like the big man Infront of 10 ringers.. embarrassment of a man and I hope he fails badly and then gets hurt badly...in a financial way of course..2 points

If it’s about cost then pawlicki will be the one but if they are serious about team strengthening then I’m not sure he is, pawlicki is riding well below his best for whatever reasons, he is a hard rider who can mix it with the best, can anyone at Birmingham bring the best out of him ? If so then letting him go is not the right move2 points

I think if I was Buster I'd just keep quiet because I think they have dodged a bullet. If he wins his appeal then any team missing a couple of riders will have carte blanche to say they are not turning up to a fixture - possibly at King's Lynn - and that'll damage his business far more.2 points
-
I would say it was 100% correct... No Doyle so Emil takes as many of his rides as he can.. Much better to see Ipswich race than six of them and a guest... And watching Emil race is always VFM so the more he rides the better the meeting..2 points

There isn't but Oxford deployed a tac sub on ht 9 for Cook in yellow) and both Riss and Tungate came out in yellow!2 points

I bet he would still be there if he'd carried on his debut double figure performance2 points

Wow, thought Dickson would have learned from previous seasons re Cook. He’s had one good meeting for Oxford at Sheffield (dodgy filters and all), next thing he’ll be signing Batchelor2 points

You won the meeting fair and square no arguments from any Witches fans …. But to say that King and Ellis wouldn’t have done better than Batch and Klindt is farcical You won and it’s good to see you competitive2 points

It has always amazed me that clubs don't take on some proper professional marketing people to drive footfall into their stadiums... They will each spend literally hundreds of thousands on their riders each year, who hardly anyone in even the next street will recognise, yet a very minimal amount on actually promoting themselves.. A strange business model..2 points

I know Ipswich were running RR, but for one rider to be in half of the 16 races seems wrong somehow.2 points

The issue start Marshall’s have got is that you can call them forward but because there is now a clock riders will garden & then sit back until the clock hits 20 seconds then come forward knowing they won’t get excluded .2 points

Or pronunciation. After telling us he has pronounced Boughen wrongly he carries on saying it wrongly.2 points

Doesn't matter what time you start them as long as you start them on time and get the meeting moving along once you do with the threat of rain around... none of this happened2 points

His admission was not good enough me Mark .. Its scary to see how out of touch he is with what is going on seeing he's a local lad . Thou i would love to the speedway come back at a new venue its become just as important to me to not to let Clark and Taylor Wimpey get there way with the Stadium . I just hate the fact that the lies and corruption might be rewarded2 points

There's been a backlash to his appearance at the Blunsdon site. To be honest when I spoke to two local councillors, the Green one said it's a shame about the Moto Cross, and the Red one didn't seem to care. Not enough peeps bothered about local speedway these days. Swindon becoming a dormitory town for commuters to the south-east now, recreational stuff disappearing, just more houses everywhere being built on sporting areas.2 points

Averages at Foxhall over all meetings so far this season Doyle 11.27 GSA 10.55 King 8.00 GSA 7.08 Ellis 9.25 GSA 8.00 To lose all three at the same time is an absolute disaster.1 point

I might be jumping the gun but Birmingham could make the play offs and be dangerous if Lindgren does well1 point

Swedish U21 rider Anton Jansson has signed a contract with Zielona Gora's U24 team and is set to make his debut tonight.1 point

Pretty dull watch with the odd decent heat but Leicester has never been a good race track. Oxford were pretty awful tho. Nothing magic about Janowski neither.1 point

One good race and the rest was follow my leader. When quality racers struggle to pass then it just shows a track prepared for gating and entertainment goes out of the window. Enjoyed the racing from Birmingham shown tonight in the track grade intervals. When will promoters get in their heads that ENTERTAINMENT should be their priority1 point

I like football, I pay money to my club, Bristol City, to listen and watch the streams officially available to me helping put money into my team. I do exactly the same with the excellent service BSN provide for us, I pay my money firstly to watch and secondly to pay for the work they do for us and the sport. Shame on anybody who gets by this on the cheap when the sport needs help.1 point

This has been the way at King's Lynn ever since Jonathan Chapman left. There needs to be someone new, with very deep pockets to make King's Lynn a success.1 point

It's all a bit silly isn't it? The SGP already ran sprint races - 23 of them in fact. This is quite aside from the fact that track conditions are going to change between qualifying sessions, so the session you're drawn in is going to influence the selection order for those that don't qualify for the 'sprint race'. Regardless of what's being claimed, it's not going to be the same for everyone. Then there's the 'sprint race' itself. What happens if those four riders wipe each other out before the GP starts? In MotoGP you've got far more riders in a race and you can't get them all on the front grid, so timed qualifying is one of the fairer approaches to lining them up, especially as you can put all the riders in one session where the conditions will be the same for everyone. Speedway - for precisely the reasons it takes place on a much smaller track and only has a small number of riders in each race as a result, has evolved a multi-race all-out sprint format. If you really wanted to add some interest to practice, add some extra wildcards and have them race-off for a couple of places in the GP proper.1 point
