Just been to Workington for the first time since it was the little training track, what a superb race track, imo best this country has, great little set up there too with great viewing and close to the seafront too what’s not to love6 points

Ref tucking into his chips there and not watching heat 4. One of the most obvious decisions there to exclude mcgurk and excludes Killeen.5 points

I think Poole have shown they can carry "passengers". Look the strongest team so far with 6 riders going well. Also racing Plymouth (with their strong reserves) isn't the best time to judge Max Perry.4 points

I think you are mis understanding my point. Of course pharmacists offer advice. For example if someone comes in for OTC cough medicine, we ask if they are on any other medication. Its not that we are being nosey, we are being responsible as cough and cold remedies tend to affect the potency of other medication, particularly heart, blood thinners and respiratory medications (but not exclusively). If someone discloses they are on such a medication we legally cannot sell them it as we know it could cause harm. If a Dr prescribes it then thats different (although to be honest we would often give them a quick phone call to check too - thats a pharmacists job). That is totally different from someone riding speedway asking about banned medications but personally I would be more concerned at someone buying medication from a supermarket that a pharmacist has flagged as a possible problem than basically saying 'oh well I'll just go to a supermarket'. I mean these check out girls know as much as people who have done 4/5 years study and exams followed by regular professional monitoring....4 points

I would like to think Redcar have more sense than to sign Garrity! No one is that desperate surely3 points

anybody with a illness go to a speedway meeting get seen quicker than NHS.3 points

Or Plymouth complained against the IRR ruling at Berwick & were told it was legal. So naturally used it themselves when it was needed.3 points

I think they’ve seen what Steve Lawson has done for Bewley and working with him may turn him into a Bewley 2.0 (the kid is going to be world class no doubt), and that he has pretty much unlimited track access for practice etc has a lot to do with it, plus why wouldn’t you it’s a superb place.2 points

Although he may have been rude this comment shows that you're a bit of a prat. Judging the whole of the comets fans off one person is just ridiculous2 points

We made a long weekend of it, came up Thursday stayed on a campsite in Silloth, came to track today, currently camped in the pits for the night, heading back tomorrow2 points

Another great afternoon of Racing at the GT tyres arena. Get well soon Celina .2 points

I'm pleased for Gilkes & delighted to see a Brit with a team place. But honestly don't feel it strengthens Redcar at all. Like-for-like change for me.2 points

Strengthens us up a little bit bringing ace in. Be fireworks between him and Boughen like usual I suspect.2 points

What utter rubbish. This is a forum to discuss speedway. The fact of whether a meeting is on or not is fair game. Also… I was right.2 points

We have around 7.30 points to replace Tofty. But who can we get?. Oxford are 5 points under the limit. Surly they will strengthen up, and have room for a double change.. Harris or Wright for MPT, or Harris and Wright for Tofty and NKI would do me. In reality, it will probably be Lewi for Tofty, which would still leave us around 2 points under.2 points

I think scaramanga was led on by the Antti-Vuolas brigade, who hoped he wouldn’t stay for long.2 points

Just a big thank you to @racers and royals for all the hard work that's done providing all the info on here. It's much appreciated.2 points

Pleased with Dan Gilkes, think he will be an improvement on Knudsen (which wouldn't be hard).1 point

Darcy only spent 1 season at King's Lynj, in the middle tier. 2009.1 point
-
I love that Darcy has had to tell someone else to calm down! Also not surprised at the advice, I think he did 2 years? at KL before moving up. Chris Holder and Brady Kurtz also did 2 years before moving up as well if I remember correctly. Wonder which clubs approached him in Prem? If KL I would stay clear of them atm!1 point

Another great meeting today, well done to the Cheetahs who were competitive throughout and helped produce some top notch racing. 8 points down after heat 12 the Cheetahs responded by pulling 6 of those points back in the next two heats to take it to squeaky bum time and a last heat decider. Well done to Captain Cook for winning heat 15 and securing the two points. Hard to believe that the track looked on the dry side after all the rain we had on Wednesday and Thursday. Hope the Cheetahs fans who made the journey enjoyed the racing and safe journey home.1 point

Funny that the video hasn't appeared on the AEPG Facebook page, as do most of his recent promotional efforts! His selling point to that stuffy crowd was who'd like to live near a unique culture, leisure and tourism community facility when one could have a useless driving range instead? Sums it, him & them up really!1 point

Tate said in speedway star he was not doing top league yet, as its too soon he wants to learn at a slower pace concentrate on the comets, as they have been very good to him, not doing too much. I would think he may get a team place in the top league before the rest of the year, in a view to riding next year, also in todays programme antti voulas has been approached for top league, but also turned it down to concentrate on the comets1 point

Some brilliant racing as usual, great track.Tate is some prospect, and Ashton showed what a talent he is.1 point

Well done Comets, great meeting and my number 1did a captain's job to win the meeting, good to see Conner having some good races too, Tate Zische is a delight to watch and will go far, Comets fans are lucky to be able to watch him every home meeting, we had that delight with Basso last season, Comets are my second team this season, was Berwick last season but you have my fave.1 point

Vissing not a good team rider gets in road of voulas often aswell1 point

Very peculiar opinion in this circumstance when heavy rain is due before and during the meeting. Track covers wouldn't have saved it if that is where your coming from. Put a claim into Plymouth speedway and I'm sure you will get a very interesting reply.1 point

Vissing baulked Bailey in every turn there, never seems to have much awareness of where his team mates are.1 point

Brum might win this due to Ippo having no Doyle or King but Brum a strong side..?1 point

But don't follow a satnav; it is much easier to go to Junction 7 of the M6 an then south down the A34. The stadium is about 2 miles on the left. (Though not the athletic track ...)1 point

Did I hear someone say fixture congestion & meetings in October….surely not this year !1 point

No, no Plymouth are very much against that sort of sharp practice. Vociferously arguing against Berwick being allowed to use IIR for Lewis Kerr last Saturday and threatening to report the Bandits to the SCB (don't know if they went ahead or not). So it must be a completely unconnected injury otherwise they wouldn't have invoked IIR1 point

Well I will be enjoying my Costa flat white in the morning across from the station After a slow start the Pirates stepped it up to give the Gladiators no chance of recovery at the Coliseum! The aggregate bonus point is all ours!......well almost Rocketman another faultless 15pt maximum, sublime! All the lads again showed what a solid unit we are. If only we could get Max scoring. He did look more on it tonight so hopefully next time..........? Was good to see how the Thompson Twins have progressed with both showing up well particularly Dan who pulled a good move on Ben in heat 7. Ben did well though to stay on his bike but no blame on Dan. It's just so enjoyable down at WINborne Road, bring it on! C'mon the Boyzzzz NID1 point

Part and parcel of speedway, not much you can do track was perfect at 2 o’clock one forecast said rain was due another said it wasn’t, even if was to rain the track could’ve held it if it wasn’t too bad but turned out to be torrential.1 point

I like football, I pay money to my club, Bristol City, to listen and watch the streams officially available to me helping put money into my team. I do exactly the same with the excellent service BSN provide for us, I pay my money firstly to watch and secondly to pay for the work they do for us and the sport. Shame on anybody who gets by this on the cheap when the sport needs help.1 point

Magic's not slow, he's clearly got pace. Problem is he's about two bikes lengths behind at the first bend each race. If he can sort out his starts, he'll be a bargain on his current average.1 point

For that reason I don't know why they only use one track. I would think they'd get more fans if it was held at different tracks as you'd get 2 or more sets of "home" fans attending, rather than some just attending the final?1 point
