Pleased to see Cookie back to his old self. I wasn’t there yesterday but wasn’t surprised at the result. We signed essentially same top 5 as last year with Justin in for Craig. As mentioned before our senior reserve is struggling. We didn’t have our 1 and 2 and no way did we have depth to cover R/R with three reserves in team. Monarchs had been interested in Vuolas too but he signed for Comets. Would have liked to have seen some fresh faces blended in with senior riders. Other commitments permitting I often go to Workington matches on Saturdays to support Cookie. Great racing, lovely people and an exciting team.4 points

I hope this is not a widely held view. Certainly in my experience I've been welcomed into the Oxford family.3 points

The difference is that Lewi raced a full meeting at Scunthorpe last night, and although tonight's crash has aggravated the former injury, it is not be considered a withdrawal because of coming back too soon.3 points

I think you're really a Swindon fan who has since converted to Oxford. Which means you're definitely NOT a proper Oxford fan. While I can appreciate speedway fans in general wanting to watch speedway and it's sad to see some teams not around any more, I never once started supporting Swindon while Oxford were out of action - I went as I wanted to watch speedway and naturally didn’t want Swindon to win. Can you imagine Cradley fans becoming Wolves fans, etc.? Sends a shiver down my spine.3 points

Well my friend certainly does. His team was Reading but he now supports Oxford and is thoroughly enjoying the meetings at Cowley as are the rest of his family.2 points

And your hourly dig at him, you've made your point every day for the last 6 - 12 months don't you think it's time to give the rest of us a break?2 points

looking at the scores of the older guests, it would have been more productive to give 2 kids a go2 points

Let’s be honest 99.9% of us knew this team was poor. Makes you wonder whoever assembled it couldn’t see that. Agree on Zischke the lad has been a revelation but it wasn’t unknown how much potential he had.2 points

I would have thought it isn’t the court case but possibly he spent his budget on getting a proper number one and the rest of the team isn’t performing which is partly down to lack of meetings which is partly bluster’s fault. it’s more difficult to get guests as sometimes only one other team isn’t riding on the same night. add the problem of him falling out with several other riders and not being prepared to pay the going rate for heat leaders. All this makes thinks more difficult. his stubbornness is costing him dearly.2 points
-
Certainly not. One of the great things about Oxford's return has been the amount of Swindon (and Reading) supporters attending meetings.2 points

An enjoyable GP which was close throughout and had some really good racing, Michelsen deserved his win but full credit to the track curator which was a credit to the series. Onto Prague now and unfortunately hopes of another cracker are not high.2 points

No doubt we didn't see the real Monarch's with Josh Pickering and Lasse Fredriksen missing. Rider replacement and guest didn't score what the two missing riders would have while Josh is an out and out racer who would have lifted the entertainment level further, shame he wasn't riding. Paco Castagna improved and finished with 2 of the Monarchs 3 heat victories and was decent value for his 11 points , Sedgy chipped in with 9 but no one else really caught the eye. Key Thomson started with a nice win but surprisingly made little impression after that when he looked like he was going to have a good afternoon. Young Sam Hagon looked a different rider in the No 2 position than the one who scored double figures against us as reserve for Poole on Wednesday. Rider of the meeting for the Comets was young Tate Zischke, protected by some good defensive riding from Cookie who looked a little down on his normal pace the Grandchester Flyer was imperious and it was great to see him go over to Andrew and Steve following his win in heat 15 and take their congratulations along with the skipper. All the Comets chipped in with points today and that can only help with confidence especially for Sam and Celina. a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon at Costa del Northside. Message to all the Comets riders more donuts, wheelies, burnouts and coming round following heat wins please, the crowd appreciate it and like Batch said in a previous interview with Roy albeit in the context of tracks ' It's about entertainment' Thank you to the Monarchs fans who made the journey it was good to see you guys. After watching Comets ship 61 points at Poole Wednesday I know how you guys will have been feeling. Up The Comets.2 points

In a very short space of time, the self imposed no Danes rule looks completely ludicrous whatever its intentions were. Ditching Vissing for Flint was just mental. Brennan needed pastures new however Stevie W I agree wasnt the answer. I still think we would have arrived at this point of having to restructure the team, just the Complin situation sped it up a week or two. Some flawed thinking over the winter that clearly hasn't worked out. Thank goodness Pearson has exceeded expectations.2 points

I think you need to look deeper into why kings lynn are struggling to attract enough fans. do you remember Brian Havelock running Redcar ? He had poor teams year on year with the same riders and apathy towards the fans. Crowds dropped further and further each year. Interesting enough though the club always made a profit. then a new promotion with enthusiasm invested into the team and engaged with the fans. crowds returned to see good entertaining racing on a well prepared track. look how the Courtney’s run Berwick and Oxford. They too engage with the fans. Buster is tired and fed up and it shows. It’s minimal effort and open the turnstiles and it’s a take it or leave it attitude and a complete contempt of his customers. all lynns troubles are from the top and the owner.2 points

ok - stand ins - you know exactly what i was getting at. What a really negative comment. It was an opportunity for two kids, thats all I'm saying and I know both sides could have found one. After all, thats what the league is supposed to be for, or so i thought1 point

Surely he will be "Throwing the track out with the rain water" ... I'll get me rain coat and pit gate repair set.1 point

Because Alex Spooner hasn’t ridden for Oxford we are not allowed a facility for him hence the 2.0average unattached rider. Although this is clearly the only league that doesn’t get facilities, as both Plymouth and Birmingham were allowed facilities for riders that hadn’t ridden for the clubs. The ref made an absolute bloody howler by excluding Jody Scott it was clear the trigger flicked his wheel out at Jody. Trigger should have been out or with a very big push it should have been all 4 back.1 point

Just cos you're crap at it doesn't make it a bad track. You should have seen it when it was a bumpy mess then, be thankful it not like that anymore. They always looking to improve it each season. All you can ask for.1 point

He was a credit too the club with his professional approach and that was ingrained into him with the excellent way Eastbourne ran there academy. His youthful exuberance will have taken over and he will be loving the ride. In another 5 Years maybe not so much. Ben Basso was also saying he was exhausted with his schedule towards the end off last season and had too drop a league for this season.1 point

Think his main problem is going to be burn - out if he is not careful. He was all over the place last season and still the same this season. You really need plenty cash and 1st Class set -up to do what he is doing IMO.1 point

I’ve watched Oxford since 2000 and when they finished Swindon. Therefore I am Speedway Fan.Oxford were without a team for 15 plus years with little chance of returning so now their miraculously back so called Fans like you are continually calling for changes. After all you are a proper fan so changes should be made to plicate you and a small number who travel these days (look around you ). Next time you are at Cowley note the atmosphere I don’t here people constantly calling for changes just Fans getting excited, getting behind their teams and enjoying the action.1 point

Something's clearly up with Buster this year, He's just refusing to run meetings and if it's down to finances then he wouldn't have been able to keep either club on track imo. My conspiracy theory is that Brady took him to court and won to a point where Buster's on the brink financially. After all Brady did hold that sign up at the Darts.1 point

Is that under the section where rules only apply when convenient to kings lynn1 point

Replacing Vissing with Flint and Worrall for Brennan was criminal. Nothing against Flint but he is bang average at Ashfield . Brennan has went up another level this year whilst Worrall has probably dropped a level , Brennan probably wanted a track nearer to his base down south but we have lost out big time after 2 seasons off improvement from him and looks like he is one off the leagues top performers. Think we need to look at possibly a couple of changes to try and stem the flow of mediocrity.1 point

Difficulty to evidence one way or another. Where Companies House records are available it hardly presents a positive position (although you can generally only see the balance sheet not the profit and loss account). If clubs were more open about their finances it would take away much of the speculation1 point

Title favourites Poole have had 3 home matches, scored 61 twice, but only 49 against Edinburgh. They've also had 3 away matches with their biggest loss (4 points) coming at Edinburgh. Honestly I don't think Edinburgh look that string on paper, but they are doing really well this year. However I feel Workington's top 5 should ensure a win, can their reserves pick up enough points to give them the chance of a bonus point? Edit After last night, expecting Edinburgh to suffer a big loss today.1 point

People can like it/or not like it but regardless off gender changes need made at reserve. We ain't going to win anything with the weakest reserves in the league. An before people shoot me down.....we ain't national league now, we are championship level, its an entertainment product that people are paying good money for, we should be provided with the best team possible.1 point

So sad when you think the standard of the NDL 5 /6 years ago, not so sure the likes of Brennen/Edwards/Flint etc would have got to where they are today if this had been the NDL standard when they were 15 year olds. In fact most matches aren't even up to the standard of the 2nd half junior matches at Arlington a few years ago and they were an extra 'free' tag on to a meeting. Wish I could be bothered to find your and my posts( if you still can) in about 2018/19, but we could see this happening back then and sure the way it went hastened the demise of the likes of Eastbourne and Kent ( and a few others) as well.1 point

It wasn’t called off incorrectly, and it wasn’t called off the day before the meeting. The issue people have had as you full well know is that Lynn called it off the day before the meeting when the forecast wasn’t all that bad. The forecast then looked worse on the morning of the meeting, if it had been called then, then nobody would have batted an eyelid.1 point
