Think it was the heat that got to him , he is an elderly man . He spent the night in hospital in Whitehaven , got home on the Sunday . One of the Glasgow trackstaff went and got him7 points

Heat 1: 3-3 (J Holder, Fricke, Iversen, Howarth) Heat 2: 5-1 (Patryk, Rowe, Edwards, Gilkes) Heat 3: 2-4 (C Holder, Basso, Pickering, MPT) Heat 4: 3-3 (Woffinden, Klindt, Rowe, Gilkes) Heat 5: 3-3 (J Holder, Basso, MPT, Howarth) Heat 6: 4-2 (Fricke, Woffinden, Iversen, Edwards) Heat 7: 2-4 (Pickering, Patryk, C Holder, Klindt) Heat 8: 5-1 (Iversen, Rowe, Howarth, Gilkes) Heat 9: 3-3 (Woffinden, Basso, MPT, Edwards) Heat 10: 4-2 (Fricke, C Holder, Iversen, Pickering) Heat 11: 3-3 (J Holder, Patryk, Klindt, Howarth) Heat 12: 3-3 (C Holder, Patryk, MPT, Edwards) Heat 13: 2-4 (Woffinden, Fricke, J Holder, Klindt) Heat 14: 4-2 (Patryk, Pickering, Basso, Gilkes) Heat 15: 1-5 (Woffinden, J Holder, Fricke, Patryk) 47-43 although it is going to take an almighty effort for the boys to do it. However, after last night I think Sheffield are there for the taking. Our best riders this season are probably 2, 6 and 7 and that’s their weakness that we need to exploit.7 points

batch telling it how it is. straights too narrow to take different lines entering the corner so no overtaking5 points

Well Cookie is the captain, so wouldn’t be doing his job if he wasn’t putting his views across would he. Many inexperienced riders in the Comets team The place in general just looks like a bomb site5 points

Workington gated well on Saturday, so if they can repeat that tonight, an away victory could well be on the cards. Plymouth’s track is like my son’s exam results; no passes.5 points

mains electric is a few hundred yards away , think its just the cost of getting it plumed in . you have to walk before you can run . but you more or less implied that worky had special treatment and help to join the 2024 shampionship , funding from the bspa and other stuff we only need one big light to operate and everybody has it andrew , steve and a good few workers/staff have worked many hours to get the northside track where it is today . a superb venue and improving all the time ..5 points

Oh here we go! The Hokey Cokey at Owlerton starting early this year? What are we, 7 weeks in to the season? And you’re already calling for riders to be sacked! How about giving them a couple of months at least to iron out any issues? Jenkins at Ipswich could hardly buy a point in either league first few weeks of the season, but is slowly starting to get his act together. Give riders just a bit of time before calling for their heads ffs5 points

Don’t tell Lewy that he’ll get all upset. Said that a few weeks back now riders saying the same.4 points

So the guy who ignored British Speedway for many many seasons is after just a few short weeks back calling out the need to sack A) Young Brits just finding their way and whilst a little out of their depth are there because the the team has been front loaded to include him B A loyal experienced Brit in his testimonial year who currently is a bit of a slump Classy!!3 points

AMB Transponders the ones we use in speedway are more for counting laps and timing each lap and are really Only used in MX and stock cars and the cheapest version on the market not really for first passed the post to the 100th of a second or the speed that speedway bikes go www.mylaps.com we use them in mx you can log into the websight after each race and get all the information on each race also if the battery is fully charged in one and another is less than half power the fully charged one will get picked up before the half charged one Think how many time in Speedway GPs do we see the replay of a tight finish being shown to see who finishes first because they can’t rely on their transponders there really no good for our sport3 points

If its within the rules to make changes and a club has the finances and the ambition then I don't see the issue personally. The aim of the league is to try and win it after all.3 points

In the best interests of the sport.Think you are a bit “ over the top” with your comments.3 points

Awful track one of the worst I've seen in 55 years following speedway, but a win is a win worth the 400 mile trip on to poole 2morrow UTC2 points
-
What a god awful track. Feel sorry for anyone who made that their first time because it was an absolute snooze fest. No passing, and whoever gates is the winner. The old northside training track was better than that.2 points

Especially with 4 newcomers. Good to see them proving so many of us wrong. If claus can avoid his mid/ late season dip in form could be genuine challenger's. Tomorrow be the acid test2 points
-
No it would not, thanks! Worky did really well tonight. Plymouth is not an easy place to go to and get a win.2 points

Good to see the SCB reporting when riders aren't drugs cheats. On Sunday 12th May 2024 the Racoo Anti - Doping Team attended the Leicester Cubs v Belle Vue Colts National League fixture where two riders from each team were randomly selected and tested. All four riders tested produced a negative result.2 points

How many years do I have to bang the drum about the sport using more usable engines2 points

When you win you don’t look at the under performing riders whereas when you loose some fans on their back straight away, prime example when Sheffield won away at Leicester the other month Woffinden scored 5 yet nobody screaming for his head (he had enough of that in Wrocław!). Just seen Woffinden’s interview and might be a bit of reverse psychology re team changes to get a few misfiring riders firing, but personally don’t think TV is the place to air it2 points
-
If that's the only change then God help them but I suspect it will just be part of a puzzle2 points
-
Miles apart this year I’d say. Woffy is a winner, he wants the best out of everyone on or in his team. He isn’t afraid to say it as it is. Its not like he is lying!2 points

Leaves Milik on a nice average for Poole next season. He’s a better rider than the version Birmingham have had this season.2 points
-
But injury replacements are only allowed before the transfer cut off. You should have used guests from within the British league.2 points
-
Sheffield's top four are going to score a LOT of points. So Lynn really need to limit Howarth and the two reserves to scraps to stand any chance. Seeing Pickering ride is going to be like seeing an ex girlfriend out with her new fella2 points
-
Great news. Thanks for the update. He appeared to leave the stadium unaided, but with medical personnel around him, which was great.2 points
-
Well. Your getting your change you wanted. wont make you better though. Can’t be worse than milik though2 points

Team spirit probably is a bit iffy when your got 3 or 4 moaning faced Aussie's in the team if ya count Tai as one2 points

We’re 7 weeks in to the season, seven, Sheffield have just lost their first meeting at home to an excellent side, and already the panic has set in and riders and now fans are calling for changes?? They’re still sitting 3rd in the table with two meetings in hand over the two teams above them, and are almost certainly going to be in the play off lottery at the end of the season. Why the rush? We’re in mid May! I just don’t get it.2 points
-
The difference being that Belle Vue brought Lambert in from outside of the British leagues after the transfer cut off date, whereas Sheffield used him as a guest from within the British league as he had signed for Kings Lynn for the latter part of the season.2 points
-
Sheff won the league last year by making changes so quite clearly they know what they are doing and its big part of the sport..7 weeks is plenty of enough time to find form and in Howath case he waa Poor last year as well. The bottom line its each to there own how they go about it.2 points

Camera work is embarrassing. Onboard cameras may work in F1, but certainly not in speedway. Great race out front and we watch Howarth’s handlebars2 points

48-42 away win think the tigers heat leaders will be too much for the stars2 points

And last week against BV him and Holder team rode perfectly.. heat 15 and super heat, can’t always be done im afraid1 point

Depends on who Sheffield getting for Edwards with him having a fractured cheekbone. Kyle Howarth got double figures there for Sheffield last season so might be a track he gets some points on the board (like he did away at Leicester), Jack Holder has rarely been beaten there over the last few seasons, Woffinden will be fast there and Pickering will be hoping it has some dirt on it and if Chris Holder gates like he can he’ll be hard to pass there (not sure he’ll pick up points from the back though!) I can’t see it being as dominant away win as the ones in 2023 as team built differently but think Sheffield will get this 42-481 point
-
Just watched this and Ipswich probably just deserved the win but a howler from Stead in heat 15 putting Woffinden off four and giving the crap gate to Chris Holder. Holder would have had every chance of gating off the outside and Woffinden was fast all night, so there would have been a chance of his doing something from two. But the result was done before the tapes went up in the final heat.1 point

A reason I don’t like the play offs either. Be the best team all year only to get done by the “Hokey Cokey” Tigers or someone else who makes a Robert Lambert sized tactical move just before the cut off! I’ve always said, that every team has had all winter to get their team building right. If it turns out you’ve made a pigs ear of it a month in, tough. You should only be able to make a signing to replace an injured rider, IMO.1 point

Not the actual Ipswich 1-7 you haven’t. Doyle rarely drops a point at Foxhall but Nicholls only scored 7 and they still beat you by 12. At the NSS Doyle again was missing and his replacement Wright scored 3 so it’s a bit misleading. You also lost at Birmingham (Ipswich won’t) and you failed to do what Ipswich have just done here last week at Sheffield. Ipswich are a stronger side than Belle Vue as the table shows.1 point

Brilliant team performance. Lowest score was paid 6 and highest paid 9. the witches f@@cked off back to Ipswich with the league points this time woffy1 point

Pinny, I feel your posts are the worst iv’e ever seen on here snd in my opinion, leave you open for serious legal action from both laurence rogers and Birmingham speedway. these posts should be deleted imm snd an immense apology issued to Laurence snd the Brummies. whatever the facts, one thing to be sure, they apply to GARETH rogers snd NO ONE ELSE1 point

Any comments from Cami yet regarding the 2nd defeat in 24hrs…he usually loves to put himself in front of media ?1 point

Maybe Jason Doyle fits the category? 2010 Poole, aged 24, at reserve, running a 4 point average.. 2011. Aged 25, a second string at Poole.. 2017. Champion of the World!! A massive leap...1 point
