  1. The newer supporters are not used to seeing a struggling Glasgow side . So it's a bit of a culture shock . And those going on about Harris spitting the dummy after heat 11 , I'd rather see a rider pissed off at losing than a rider not really bothered about coming second . But if all venues in the country were like Northside , the sport would be in a much healthier place . Great arena , great track , brilliant fans and we even got to resurrect the Stevie Lawson chant from the 80's

  2. Camera work is embarrassing. Onboard cameras may work in F1, but certainly not in speedway. Great race out front and we watch Howarth’s handlebars

  3. Pinny, I feel your posts are the worst iv’e ever seen on here snd in my opinion, leave you open for serious legal action from both laurence rogers and Birmingham speedway. these posts should be deleted imm snd an immense apology issued to Laurence snd the Brummies. whatever the facts, one thing to be sure, they apply to GARETH rogers snd NO ONE ELSE

  4. szkocjasid is spot on there’s a world of difference here. The forecast today for Birmingham is for light rain from 3pm, turning to heavy rain from 6pm lasting through the entire night. An early call off in these circumstances is accepted. We ALL can read a weather forecast. The difference is Chapman called off a meeting citing a poor forecast, when every one of us could see there was no rain forecast at all. It was blatantly another lie, another excuse to call off a meeting due to other reasons, probably another missing rider. He then realises he can’t use the same excuse again, neither can he use a “broken pit gate” excuse again when a couple of his team are away on Danish duty, so his latest call off is to just be honest for once and admit he’s calling it off because his Pole is missing! The Sooner this cretin is out of the sport the better.

  8. I think regardless of how you feel persoanly about your 2nd offence and how it came about, as a normal person it's near impossible to believe someone who has done what they have. What you have done makes it inconceivable to forgive or even understand why and I personally really do not understand why you would come back to this forum after it all. I don't think having an open discussion with a convicted peadohpile is wise, I don't think having access to direct message on a forum that doesn't have an age limit with a convicted peadophile is wise and I cannot see how this would benefit anyone other than yourself to try and get yourself back in the speedway community. I think for anyone to try and find a common ground with yourself or find any form of understanding is a very questionable person in my eyes and not someone I would ever want to associate with. And you can say as much as you like you'll never reoffend. But your actions have done the harm already and above anything that can be said you are an absolute danger to children.

  12. I agree with you and allot of fans have been saying the same thing "too many foreign riders" but the naysayers always have the same answer "look at Allsvenskan, they have many Swedish riders but not many spectators, so people don't want to see many Swedish riders". They had a good chance after Covid when they changed to 6 man teams. Allot of Swedish riders got the chance to prove their worth and took it. There was still very good racing despite lower quality riders. Then after for 2022, the rules were changed back how it was (7 men teams and 15 heats as well as change of tactical substitute back to only 6p behind. I also think track preparations has become much worse, atleast in Eskilstuna due to several seasons of complaint from opposing teams about track not being safe. Legitimate complains or not I don't know, but I do know that Smederna's hometrack advantage disappeared and racing quality dropped from pretty good to absolute snore fest and it was the same last week. I have season tickets (one for me and for my dad) this seasons too, but if the racing quality is the same for the rest of the seasons, note sure if I will bother next year. The racing is just so boring and tickets princes are quite high too in relation to how actual contents one gets. If I could decide I would set the following rules: 6 man teams with fixed pairs three 3 Swedish riders per lineup (minumim) Each pair does 4 heats each Back to 3 nominations heats Absolutely no tactical substitutes (better to make sure teams are at even strength then giving benefits to the loosing teams) No RR (sorry @racers and royals ) so teams will have to use a replacement rider in the lineup. No transfer windows Maximum 1 transfer per season and no transfer after halfway point in the series, but keep possibility to temporary replace injured riders but any replaced rider will receive a 5 week racing ban within all FIM-Europe jurisdiction. New riders has to do minimum 16 heats to be eligible for play offs. Lower ticket prices (Smederna charges 220 SEK for a regular non seating ticket and 250 SEK if you want a seated ticket along the straights). The league have their own play service (ESS play) but decided to increase the monthly subscription fee from 249 SEK to 349 SEK without any real improvements. No way I'm paying that much for 4 meetings/week Basically teams and some fans (on very high horses) say that fans should support their team and that all talk about increased cost for fans or upped prices for lay service is just whining. Some people just want to quell any negative opinions, full steam ahead everything is fine. The truth is that many people just don't want to acknowledge that there are problems. The Swedish Speedway Academy managed by Linus Sundström is definitely a step in the right direction but too little and too late and doesn't fix the core problems.

  14. I think 99% of call offs have been for poor weather forecasts, Lynn called off a match with a good weather forecast, there is a difference.

  15. Here here. I’ve tried to refrain from commenting on this thread for some time but the utter disrespect and disregard honestly makes me sick, more so after his second post. The blame game of others and arrogance around some of his wording like “that’s impressive” - There is nothing impressive when it comes to recording young boys/girls on beaches and people in toilets. The sheer arrogance to come waltzing back into this forum shows he is deluded. I have a child and this sort of offence and anything of the like, is what I see to be the worst of the VERY worst. I would go to the end of the world to protect my son from people like that, contaminating our earth.

  16. SCB, Nah I’m not buying it I’m afraid. If the deflection you are now trying about your second offence was remotely true there would have been grounds for an appeal or at very least a case for an incompetent solicitor to answer by not having the case thrown out by stating the offences took place while you were supposedly in prison. But that’s just relating to your second offence I think you believe you are trying to be sincere and maybe I’m misjudging that but I don’t buy it. I wonder if you have ever really seen the effect on victims of child abuse? I have, including my own nephew who was abused at 14. His life since has consisted of 5 serious suicide attempts, drug addition, alcohol addiction and a complete disregard for his own safety as the trauma still jumps up and tells him he is worthless. We still dread late night calls in case it’s another call advising he is in hospital after self harm more than 20 years after he was abused. That is the effect YOU have had on even younger children. Their lives have changed forever. Whether you did it, watched it or just viewed the photos you are part of what was done to kids like my nephew and his family who saw a caring 14 year old boy who volunteered in the local hospital have his life changed overnight to satisfy the needs and voyeurism of adults who should know better I genuinely hope your urges can be held at bay for the sake of children, but you will forgive me for saying there is not a hope in hell I can come to terms with what you have been part of or for what you have ‘been through’

  18. Emil is such a genuine guy and you have to have some sympathy for his position. They let tennis players compete in international competitions so why discriminate in speedway. Something is not right and riders like Emil add value to the competition and put bums on seats.

  27. The only cretins are those that are effectively calling for a track to be closed as there's not exactly a queue of would be promoters to take over if KC bails out (particularly if you discount those with big mouths and shallow pockets that seem to abound on this forum). Interestingly there's rarely any mention of other blatant call offs (such as Poole v KL when a furrow was "accidentally" ploughed across 1st bend due to Janowski missing that particular night)????

  30. question for all the virtue signallers, and every body else in general, why do we all lie to children, especially when they are very young. this has nothing to do with the person you are all talking about.

  31. The King's Lynn apologists really need to shut up. They are embarrassing themselves. There is a world of difference between calling off a match 'because I might lose" [yes, some of the KL boosters really used that argument] and because it is likely to piss down.

  32. So in the UK we have to pay to watch t v and the beneficiary is the gay black left wing BBC (you only have to have seen Eurovision or any awards ceremony and the WASP is no longer represented, the BBC is bending over backwards to pacify) and no one has any choice about paying for a service you do not want or watch. In terms of viewing, to see anything else you have to pay even more be it Sky or a streaming service and even then if you have a particular service such as Sky and you want to watch the content such as live speedway you pay a further fee because the broadcaster wants to screw the punter with further charges yet you can watch some crap on Eurosport for free and have speedway dumped despite it being advertised as a programme. Who sold the sport down the line and decided to screw those who want to watch international speedway without pay more than once for the opportunity, was it the FIM or the sponsors of the GP? Whoever it was the punter is being taken for a ride.

  38. You are completely right he is very very predictable. He has scored so far this season and wait for it it's "predictable" 9 away at Workington, 9 away at Oxford ,9 at home against Edinburgh, 9 at home against Oxford oh and 9 at home against Berwick I believe engine issues was the problem for the Workington at home match. He was signed on an 8.04 average, did we suddenly think that when he signed for Glasgow he'd be banging in 12 points a meeting???? So I wouldn't say he's "all Fart and no sh*tes" I'd say he's more 9 farts and probably 9 sh*tes If bookies took bets on how many Steve Worral is going to score in a night, I'd be putting your money on probably 9

  45. What about Lampart?, he scored 11 points in his qualifier at Krosno, and while we are at it I would give Milik an ultimatum either he brings his Polish bikes/form to the Brummies or don't bother turning up why ? 12+2 for Krosno, and 11 points in the SEC Challenge at Daugavpils other known riders Thorsell 4, Lahti 9, Janowski 12, Riss 3, Jensen 7, so he can do it when he wants to, it seems he is literally taking Birmingham management and fans for a ride, easy money...
