Breaking News Rider reacts when he lost a race......!!! Thirsty rider goes in search of a drink . Team manager seen getting into a car.7 points

What I was suggesting that it is easier too win if you make the gate at Poole than it is at Ashfield as even Worrell has found out.Good riders can pass for fun At Glasgow as has been witnessed over the last few seasons.6 points

Eurosport absolutely pish poor. Hate the friggin channel. Speedway always set to serial link but you can never trust it. As I was out tonight I checked my phone and what a surprise the serial link wasn’t set to record. Therefore set to record again and also, as always the programme after for meetings overrunning. Get home 11pm, avoided result (not too difficult with Speedway). Recorded 53 mins of nothing. Eurosport = F’ing useless.5 points

I bet the GP sponsors... And the riders individual sponsors.. Are delighted to see their investment, and brand, getting seen by a lot less people than they would have expected when they laid out the not inconsiderable sums they do..4 points

Great day at Workington, we got beat but got more points than I thought, although we were lucky with a few of them , well done Comets, a team to watch this season for sure, you do have my fave as your number 1, as for the tiggers, I think this is a year to enjoy the racing. I have followed them a long time and remember the days when we celebrated getting 30 away from home4 points

I’m fine with it , best team by a small margin won on the night it’s that simple. Sometimes Cami should take a few days to decide what he’s saying rather than say the first thing that enters his head. His soundbites are getting tiresome.4 points

Criticism of certain Tigers to one side, that Workington side looks like it could do some damage this season. Zischke at number two is a secret weapon. He was outstanding on Saturday; he had pace, skill and with a bit more elbow, could easily have taken second from Worrall in heat six. You could see he was disappointed not to after the race. Vuolas and Vissing in the middle look like a pairing with lots of potential too. Like Zischke, they’re all-action. I don’t watch them often enough, but if that’s typical of their reserves’ input, then it’s that section of the team that’ll cost them this season. Having said that, they weren’t a million miles off and gave every single heat a good go. Also, great to see Craig Cook back to his old self. Sadly, it was against us, but British Speedway and the Championship in particular is a greater spectacle with Cook in it and flying.3 points

I think you need to look deeper into why kings lynn are struggling to attract enough fans. do you remember Brian Havelock running Redcar ? He had poor teams year on year with the same riders and apathy towards the fans. Crowds dropped further and further each year. Interesting enough though the club always made a profit. then a new promotion with enthusiasm invested into the team and engaged with the fans. crowds returned to see good entertaining racing on a well prepared track. look how the Courtney’s run Berwick and Oxford. They too engage with the fans. Buster is tired and fed up and it shows. It’s minimal effort and open the turnstiles and it’s a take it or leave it attitude and a complete contempt of his customers. all lynns troubles are from the top and the owner.3 points

Win occasionally is now the expectation but totally agree the standard of racing is second to none.3 points

Because Eurosport are inherently crap at covering sporting events? Their ONE job...3 points

missed it live i was taking my nephews band to a gig in Leeds the royal park pub, ill give his band a mention they are called Cesare of cymatics , anyway didn't get to watch till 1 am this morning, very entertaining meeting lots of passing and a bit as usual controversy, but some people still want to winge about it. Doyle was excellent deserved his win, and huckenbeck just unlucky, not to be able to get back in rerun.3 points

Ditched sky and Eurosport (via the sky box) some time ago now pay just 6.99 a month for discovery+ - well worth it and you have a back archive of recent speedway to rewatch if you want to! well done JD!3 points

Must be on a wind up. Thought the racing was very good on one of the better temporary tracks. Woffinden may as well pack it in. Not interested if anyone gets close Bewley the same, but his track craft is diabolical as well.3 points
-
As honest as Woffy's interview was he didn't really address the elephant in the room, he clearly backed out of a few moves tonight like he had done for the last few years, the difference tonight was that he had the speed that if he'd made those moves he would have easily qualified for the semis. The thing is the level has moved up another notch since Woffy last won his titles, riders are riding more extreme, Doyle, Holder, Zmarzlik, Lindgren... they'll just make the move and leave the opposition to deal with it and to be fair, Woffy has never been that kind of rider. At least he's not shooting his mouth off so much these days so he's a little more palatable. And I'm afraid that Bewley is pretty much in that same mold, and who can blame them after the injuries they've had. Lambert has the best chance of joining that top table for me, he's a hard rider but isn't making those extreme moves... yet. Great night for Doyley, best he's been since 2016/17. And a pretty decent GP all in all.3 points

Speedway isn’t a safe sport. Would you say Zmarslik bombing into corners is safe ? or is it a sign that he has an edge and that’s why he’s nigh on unbeatable in this modern age.3 points
-
Doyle has a hunger that when fit he still feels like he’s 18. Say what you want about him but to suffer the injuries he’s had and still be on top of his game at this stage of his career is a massive achievement that people overlook.3 points

So in the UK we have to pay to watch t v and the beneficiary is the gay black left wing BBC (you only have to have seen Eurovision or any awards ceremony and the WASP is no longer represented, the BBC is bending over backwards to pacify) and no one has any choice about paying for a service you do not want or watch. In terms of viewing, to see anything else you have to pay even more be it Sky or a streaming service and even then if you have a particular service such as Sky and you want to watch the content such as live speedway you pay a further fee because the broadcaster wants to screw the punter with further charges yet you can watch some crap on Eurosport for free and have speedway dumped despite it being advertised as a programme. Who sold the sport down the line and decided to screw those who want to watch international speedway without pay more than once for the opportunity, was it the FIM or the sponsors of the GP? Whoever it was the punter is being taken for a ride.2 points

We took over the coverage of Speedway As we thought, till now, twas a farce. But when a car race ran over time.. Covering the Speedway, we couldnt be arsed..2 points

Would agree Worrell is not usually the man for pressure Heats but he maintains a good average. No easy races at Ashfield though, unlike making the gate at Poole2 points

If every rider scored their average the team would lose to be fair2 points

It was televised, in full, with no ad breaks and multiple commentary (or not) options and also on demand after the event on a channel owned by WBD. The option is there for you to watch it, just requires a £7 monthly outlay with premiership action also included, I would suggest this represents far better value than Sky / BT subscriptions in the past.2 points

Wouldn't you think that some clever person would think that there's a 5 week gap in home fixtures so that might be a good time to put shows, carnivals, car rallies on in the car park instead of causing total chaos arranging them when the speedway is on.Or alternatively don't arrange speedway meetings when all that other rubbish is on2 points

Discovery truly is revolutionising GP Speedway coverage, just as they promised....2 points
-
I guess you learn about people's character when things go wrong / they are losing, rather when they are winning. Glasgow are used to always being near the top, so perhaps they've forgotten how to take losing with dignity?2 points

For Discovery+ at £6.99 you get a lot for your money. Its worth it just for the speedway GPs, but a load other sports like World Superbikes, plenty cyclocross, mountain biking, winter sports, then loads of films, dramas, series. So excellent value for money. Speedway GP enjoyable, track held up very well, I wonder if the open roof made this possible. Be interesting if Cardiff has an open roof. Doyle a very worthy winner. Jack recovered very well from his poor start. Huckenbek sadly missed out a possible final. Woffy started out like he was back in the running, but fizzled out when the going got tough. Dan getting into a pattern….. hit the front and he can race away (but not always) and when he’s behind he can’t or doesn’t want to mix it. Lambert showing he can mix it.2 points
-
Another good night for Dan. One to watch in the years to come I think, has every chance and certainly heading in the right direction. Easy to forget he’s just turned 20 only a couple of weeks ago as well. Bet a few clubs will be kicking themselves for not picking him up during the winter on 4.86! Fair play to Plymouth for pulling the trigger.2 points

He’s dangerous and will really hurt someone one day. Phil Morris should know all about that sort of thing too. Have no time for either of them.2 points

Unless garrity is going to say to folk he took the rap for someone else I can’t see how explaining to people is going to help, I mean how do explain something like that and expect anybody to think oh because you have explained it makes it ok, surely the best course is get your head down, say nothing , work hard to get your career back on track and prove to people you have learnt and you are now a good person2 points

Should be of no surprise if he has already implied that type of threat in the belief that UK speedway cannot do without him. However, in todays climate and profile of speedway promoters and officials, it most certainly can. So if Chapman does want to take his bat and ball home so be it. Put simply, one person is nowhere near being bigger than the sport and as such Chapman cannot be allowed to hold any part of it to ransom.2 points

Great to see batch riding so well obviously likes the track and is confident to race on it just like he did for Swindon.1 point

That's the joke with the highlights programmes. Plenty of time in an hour to show every race, but instead you get 4 or 5 heats and lots of waffle.1 point

It’s such a short League season they would have to act quickly. They really lost the backbone of last seasons Team in Vissing and Brennan, who were supporting Harris and Basso especially at Home.1 point

Winning the British Final (or 2nd to Bewley) and getting to the final at Cardiff would make the selectors take notice. He's really impressed me this year for Poole & Birmingham. But SEC should be his next target before GPs imo.1 point

Agree with you about the racing but being a Berwick fan great to get a win and the bonus point,if that was last season probably would have lost it.1 point

Racing wasn't great tonight, but we’ve been spoilt over the past few weeks. Great to see an old Rye House rider weighing in with a very good score. Jason Edwards very lucky to escape without serious injury after a ruthless shove from Rory Schlein.1 point

Doyle is superb. Anyone who can call him dangerous when supporting Frede Schott every week has some front.1 point

I feel sorry for the Lynn fans to be honest. They’ve got to be embarrassed at this point. It’s their club and it’s being run like a circus.1 point
