I always think if you are going to say ‘someone told me but I’m not going to say who but they are a rider’ then you shouldn’t bother. Firstly if you won’t name your source don’t say it, secondly if your source was talking to you off the record it’s not exactly enhancing your credibility if you run on a public forum to imply it to make yourself look important. At least that’s what I’ve been told by someone who knows these things and is famous but I can’t tell you who7 points

Cause several riders think he’s a danger and reckless. Not my words theirs.4 points

You seriously think Blobby has a source. I see your still waiting on his reply. says it all don’t you think?.3 points

Seen the photos Ace showed total commitment, did nothing wrong. Also impressed by him in the re-run when on exiting the 4th bend on the last lap he looked over his shoulder saw Sam Hagon and inexplicably slowed down and finished second. Richard Lawson (just for you Lisa) would have been proud of him. Just a pity the meeting doesn't count!3 points

Yeah I don't agree with this new rule either, but it's the rule we have therefore it was the correct decision whether you like it or not.3 points
-
Not at all just plenty on here who seem to get some sort of kick slaughtering a 17 year old kid. Ace was hard on Cole’s but it was his choice to drop it ,I have seen far worse than that with no character assassination in the aftermath. This rhetoric about this one is upset or that one is upset because Ace done this or Ace done that is frankly pathetic. Ace should just continue his progress and if he puts noses out of joint so be it. All that matters is Glasgow fans are mostly delighted with his progress the rest is just outside noise best ignored.2 points

Can't see how it's an inexplicable decision in Heat 11 when it was explained that it's a new rule that the race must be stopped, whether that's right or wrong is another debate.2 points
-
Can you explain this please? 2 wins and 2 thirds = 8pts (not consistent) - but 7,8 or 9 points is consistent....2 points

Update on Bastian Borke taken from his Facebook page. Bastian had a brutal crash yesterday in Berwick. Hes ok but still hospitalized. Luckily nothing broken but very bruised and having trouble walking. We hope he comes home to dk tonight and for a check up at Danish hospital tomorrow. Thank you for the many messages. It means a lot to Bastian.2 points

Couple of iffy decision and one complete cock up for me. Etheridge can feel hard done to with his exclusion in heat 5, I expected all four back but at least the referee made a positive decision. Inexplicable decision at the start of heat 11, Pickering moved, but penalised himself, when that happens the race should continue and the rider warned after the race. To give the rider who has stopped the race a second chance is crazy.2 points
-
It still means if a rider moves & messes himself up, so makes an awful start, he gets a second chance. As long as he doesn't move again, the warning means nothing. See no reason why a ref can't play "advantage" and let a race go. Either that or exclude riders for "delaying the start" if they move - no warnings issued. That would be the best way to ensure they keep still at the start.2 points
-
Well actually it is your words because you're the one spouting the bile on a public forum without quoting sources. Same as you did about him signing for Glasgow over other clubs last season. Maybe you should just leave the kid be eh? And I was standing same area as you on Friday and as others have said ace was ahead so this riding into the side of him you also spouted BS2 points
-
Why not just let the race run then without a warning. Berwick were away so it probably cost Berwick 2 points (would have expected Josh to catch Freddie). If he was warned for heat 5 like he should have been (he moved before Drew) then at least pulling heat 11 back he would be off a 15m handicap.2 points

That seems a very stupid rule change to me, giving someone a second chance because they broke the rules?2 points

Now look Northern Nancy Neila, I've seen an updated forecast, and can now see why they've cancelled it, still a bit early for my liking, 26 hours before tapes up. But you seem determined to have a scrap with me by coming on here calling me Mr Negative like some crazed adolescent school boy. Now I want you to do 100 lines, "I must stop being an overly aggressive Northern Nancy Boy"... and type it out, no copying and pasting!1 point

By the way before you think it's bulls##t I've done an IOSH health and safety exam covering heavy engineering, but to keep people interested the guy touched on football / stadium rules to show how complex things are1 point

That happens at every single club in every single division though BB. I’d bet no team actually track a 1-7 they originally pencil in, and end up drafting from their B and C lists. Riders change their minds all over the shop, especially when they get better offers obviously. Clubs themselves do likewise. Only way to stop that happening is to get signatures on paper rather than verbal agreements.1 point

That was tremendous TV. Greg Blair - an outstanding pundit - on BSN wanted Boughen‘s professional observations while being shown the replay, but what he received was ”got over him… and he’s just f*cking ran straight into me”. In five years time, we’ll hopefully be watching these two compete at an even higher level because what they’re doing as teenagers and the company they’re doing it in is nothing short of incredible. They’re both a credit to themselves, regardless of how many times they fall or come last.1 point

I seen the “incident” if that’s what you want to call it between Ace & Boughen down at Workington last year. Nothing in it at all just Ace racing hard. From what I can remember it was a couple of things in the same race/re-run. Ace just taking care of his biggest threat in the race fair and square. Boughen didn’t like it but instead of backing out he carried on and ultimately, layed it down. Another one was Ace & Hagon. Ace forceful up the inside, hagon didn’t like it and threw the bike down. No contact at all but somehow Ace was excluded!!1 point

Ref was poor for both sides. Etheridge decision was bonkers and Josh impeded himself when he jumped but he also let Schlein and Hume away with moving at the tapes. Good effort from the Monarchs although we can’t rely on Josh scoring like that all season. Kye and Sedgy will need to step up and Lasse needs to improve. Good to see Paco starting to find some consistency and showing what he’s capable of.1 point

A bit disrespectful, reports from several tracks that John's passing has not been commemorated1 point

Who cares who he upsets , without seeing last nights incident you have drawn your conclusion and came up with let’s be honest a pile off Sh!te against a 17 year old. McGregor seen fit to exclude Cole’s as the primary cause as Ace had already passed Cole’s perhaps just perhaps Cole’s spat the dummy whilst the red mist descended.1 point

As I said in pre season, what an utterly dreadful signing Etheridge was and he’s proven it already.1 point

If we didn’t wait for him, he wouldn’t have joined Pearson for a 5-1. Edinburgh would subsequently have entered heat one as the stronger pairing; a positive result might have set the tone for the rest of the meeting. How many ”ifs” are we talking here, Lisa? If my gran had wheels, she’d be a bike. Pijper has received criticism because he rides full-hearted and in doing so, races hard. Andre Compton, Jan Pedersen and Tomasz Gollob used to do it. Pijper’s doing it at 17 years-old though, so he’s getting nothing but credit from me. The way his dad is by his side the second he’s in need is one of the most endearing things I’ve saw at the speedway.1 point
-
Indeed he did, got it momentarily stuck under his footrest at the end of one of his races and looked in a bit of pain hobbling back into the pits. Although he did win heat 12 after that.1 point

I think that's a different rule, if they had signed Rowe as a "28 day replacement" then Covatti couldn't come back early, but this is a different situation.1 point
-
He rode right into the side of Coles going for a gap that didn’t exist. don’t think Connor took to kindly to it especially coming back from a bad injury and this early into the season. Was just a little shove between him and a Glasgow member of staff.1 point

If that's not allowed, imagine he guested for the opposition against Plymouth lol!1 point

Thought Ref was right in both decisions. Pawlicki was slightly out of control and put himself in that position. He slowed as he corrected the wheelie. Just my opinion.1 point

Sadly because it fits an agenda used by a minority of the people on this platform. Sadly, this minority won't be happy until they see another club fold and close, without realising the knock on effect of such a decision. It would leave an entire region, not just a city/town - the whole of Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Gloucestershire without a team. Just let that sink in for a minute? Millions of people without a team to support, they'd rather that happened than see the Gladiators make a good go at things. I really feel for Mark, he's constantly getting battered from all sides (including by riders from other clubs!) despite doing what he can with what he's got. People are more than entitled to their views I get that, hence why we are on a public forum discussing it however most of the time, it's not constructive, it's not helpful and it's hurtful what people say about the Gladiators.... However, it's us against the world and we're going to embrace that!! "No one likes us, we don't care... We are Plymouth..."1 point

He had a great first match, but it's far too early to say he'll be the best reserve in the league imo. Gotta see how he'll do away for a start.1 point
