We'll see . It could be some medication he takes . Couple of years ago Kyle Howarth was guesting for the Monarchs against us and he failed a test and wasn't allowed to ride . Turned out it was Night Nurse and he was back riding the following week for his clubs . So too early to hang Lee out to dry yet8 points

They have already seen speedway.Given the problems Leicester have had with the track over the years your comments are a bit weak.6 points

The wind is brutal today down by the coast, not surprised it’s off. They could have risked it by running it, but with the many temporary structures that are in place (this is not a stadium by any means) and debris flying, who would be liable? It would be madness to run in these conditions with a much reduced crowd, having plenty of free weekends probably makes the decision easier these days.5 points

Ridiculous after last season. No sympathy and leave club in a nightmare situation looking for a replacement4 points

it seems in modern day speedway 'fans' sit behind a computer and moan, moan and moan - now that is comical to read.4 points

Comets have posted a video on Facebook showing the trees on the back straight swaying a lot and wind howling4 points

Thats a bit of an arrogant statement mate, Plymouth are generally well supported with a decent away following it's just a pity that a lot of riders don't want to travel down to Plymouth for home meetings, plus the racetrack is not a favourite of many riders though Mark Phillips has tried to extend the track a little over the close season, I wish Plymouth all the best for 2024 and hope they can get some decent weather to complete the Track improvements.4 points

Your vendetta against Plymouth is pathetic as is your total lack of respect for the ndl, which is where the future of British speedway is nurtured, not some hellish place that teams you have a vendetta against get banished to as some form of punishment.4 points

2nd test as in getting one done tomorrow to prove his innocence? I hope Worralls pharmacy is open on Sundays3 points

If, a big if, it is drugs or alcohol related it’s good to know the testers are out and about early in the season. Must be good for the sport IF it is a testing fail.3 points

Since he can't race, could he help them out in the snack bar? It's painfully slow.3 points

It’s strange as Complin is known for going round the boards… all I can say is he’s clearly been taking the inside line.3 points

It seems that in modern day speedway we can't run because, the wind is blowing, rain is forecast, the sun is in the riders eyes, it's too cold, it's too hot, the car park is soggy, the trees are swaying, the swimming pool is flooded etc. It's quite comical to read3 points

I live 1 mile inland from the track and the wind has considerably strengthened since this morning been out for me walk, and in the big gusts, I got blown about, imagine this on a bike at 60mph with 3 others beside you, besides the sea in an exposed arena !!! Also been another extremely soggy week in West Cumbria, granted its dry today, track may have been ok but the car parking could be very soggy, was soft last week. Think the correct decision was made, these days elf and safety rules everything . One major event called off locally due to high winds is the festival of light, where walkers light up the path on catbells, a popular mountain overlooking Keswick . Most people disagreeing about the postponement do not live in the area and don't realise how bad the wind is now getting3 points

Nice to see the absolute weapons that were kicking about on here in 2018 are still here now. Right decision to call it off today, the rain we’ve had through night the past 2 nights has been horrendous for a start. The wind today is bad, these bikes can be volatile at the best of times couldn’t imagine trying to keep some sort of control with a 70mph gust battering you. Plenty of free weekends over the course of the season to squeeze this one back in.3 points

Many will remember your Club as a bit of a joke until Ben Duffil came in and transformed it in to the progressive Club it is today. Your vendetta is puerile and just emphasises how apt your name tag is.3 points

Steve Worralls early season form hasn’t exactly set the heather alight. But 42 away to a good Berwick team and taking into account the circumstances is respectable for a season opener. Should manage the aggregate bonus point at Ashfield.2 points

Flint’s wheelies in defeat used to anger a lot of the Bandits fans I’ve spoken to.2 points

True,But cost should not come into it and riders would be less willing to take a chance that they are not one of the two randomly picked from each team.2 points

Completely understand the opinion of certain individuals but let’s see what the actual evidence is please before judging, Lee has been racing for years and has possibly been tested in the past so I think if he was to fail a test it is likely to be related to that rather than enhancing his performance? Look at the fact he is a number 6 in the championship and hasn’t got any other spot! Think about that before you decide2 points

Is it getting closer to there being a case to test every rider before meetings rather than just random testing?2 points

Feel for any team that happens too. Think Richie Worrall would have been at Edinburgh in 2024 so we dodged one there.2 points

Team needs restructured now, we wont find an equivalent rider on 3.50. What a f**king let down.2 points
-
Yeah, true. When it's due to a drugs test, they normally say 'unfit/not fit to ride' so have a slight doubt it isn't that as they saying 'not eligible to ride.' Maybe we shouldn't assume the worst but hard not to after last season! Hope for Glasgow's sake it isn't that. Edit - 'medical reasons' was the reason for Richie W and Boxall. I think Complin's is something else.2 points

I'm not the one weirdly laughing and using capitals in some kind of deranged post expressing happiness that a meeting has been cancelled because they think it upsets somebody living in Leicester... but if it makes you happy, I'm happy for you I had a wasted trip to my living room to watch it!2 points

If you're going to wait for perfect conditions to run speedway in this country you can forget it. Everybody seems to be an elf and safety fairy these days... god help us if we have to goto war again! This country's screwed, we seem to be breeding a generation of complete pussies! It's not really a club loyalty issue, I'm the first to call Leicester out when they've ballsed up, which generally is quite frequently2 points

Berwick is on and I expect the meeting to go ahead.2 points

And who was asked to go and help at Leicester. The workington track staff / promotion that seam to be the target of about 75% off the forum Jealousy is a strange thing2 points

Been very wet in Berwick this week, particularly Wednesday, there has been more rain over night but its currently dry with a decent forecast. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819 One thing you may want to consider is car parking, Berwick Rangers who are playing at home this afternoon are advising that the car park is very muddy, that is hardly likely to improve with the people going to the football. Taken from Berwick Rangers site. Today's game goes ahead after the pitch passed its inspection! The car park at Shielfield is very muddy, so please take care if driving to the game. If you are able to walk to the ground rather than drive, please do.2 points

Those owners who eventually sold up, by & large, did so after many years of owning, developing & maintaining the facility whilst ensuring as best as possible, a competitive team was put together. Osborne, on the other hand has an undeniable history of acquiring stadiums/clubs and running both into the ground with little or no investment in either before selling off for development. The message is clear, When Osbourne comes calling, so does the Grim Reaper.2 points

Sad news indeed. One of the very best in an era of many great riders. Condolences to Chris and the rest of the family. RIP Tiger.2 points

Although zmarzlik is still my favourite to win the GP again I believe his main challenger this year will be Doyle, I think he is the only guy in the series who has got what it takes to take on zmarzlik but Doyle has got to address his discipline on the start line, he throws so many points and races away by trying to jump the start, he is certainly hard enough to challenge and this year looks fast enough too2 points

RIP Tiger John "Tiger" Louis was one of my first ever speedway heroes when watching in Division 2 as a youngster - when he came to visit everyone went to see him race! And, then when I attended the 1972 World Final at Wembley where he so nearly made the rostrum - he finished joint fourth as I recall - what a night that was! Then, three years later, I was back at Wembley in 1975 to see him claim a well deserved third place in that year's World Final. Another great night. I even had his picture, wearing those "Tiger" leathers, sellotaped to the front of my file at School - what a legend. And, many years later when I got to meet him he was great to talk to and always polite. Just a great bloke all round. They say don't meet your heroes - but I was absolutely delighted to meet that particular hero. Condolences to all of his family and friends at this sad time - and I hope that they can take some comfort in the fact that he was so well respected in the world of speedway.2 points

Such sad news. He did so much for the sport as both a rider and promoter. RIP2 points
