What it does Andy as you well know because it worked for you (Luke) is that the team missing a res now can cherry pick a res from another team who is flying and yet again a rider trying to get a 1st chance like billy and others won’t be asked, stinks, and you know it, denials only add to the problem, it’s a joke, develop not stagnation, if you are missing a res for god sake who cares, put a kid in, if they are tailed off so what, at least they have had a chance and can assess themselves going forward

Your own country should take priority. If you choose to then miss a league match in your own country to ride abroad you should be given a NDL 3.00 guest, not benefit from it.

They were rearranged fixtures though.....if Kemp is signing for a team whose whole fixture list he can't commit to because of a foreign league then no facility should be allowed.

Absolutely. Just think where speedway could be today if that money had been spent properly and wisely. The decision makers throughout those years should be ashamed.

The protest we had just before Christmas , something was said in the lines of " we thought we would get the promoters license this week but it now looks like it will be sometime next week " , not sure whether there was an update on this or not , I would like to think I've been on the ball ?

It's still one of the top rated TV programmes, still pulls in the viewing figures, and gets tens of thousands of applicants to go on each series, so full respect to Paul Bowen for what he's done in getting there. But the programme is now a parody of its former self. It used to be a semi-serious attempt to find a business brain, in the days of contestants like Tim Campbell and Ruth Badger. Alas now it's purely played for laughs and scripted and edited to make the candidates look like idiots. (And clearly some are chosen because they are idiots, like the one who clapped when told they'd had to give away 52% of their turnover in refunds). But you can guarantee that when other team used crumble mix instead of breadcrumbs, it was because that had been set up by the producers. It's definitely pre-produced and played for laughs these days and not to be taken seriously.

The play offs definitely pull in many fans like me, who are not too bothered about who actually wins or not... It provides many "followers" with a night out at a speedway meeting that actually has decent crowds and, therefore, atmosphere... A bit of a throwback to how it used to be when we all started to follow the sport and loved it.... I really enjoyed both meetings last year I attended that the Aces were in, with good crowds at both Ipswich and the NSS.. Peterborough's Captain then turning up for Sheffield so they could defeat Ipswich in the Final, (after he had made such a fundamental impact in putting Ipswich in the Final), summed up perfectly why you shouldn't take league UK racing too seriously.. An excellent night out are the play offs...

To me speedway is a sport and in sport you play/ride to win. I love close plenty of passing races as we all do. But if its my team that are getting passed great race or not i am still pi**ed off. I also go home feeling a lot happier if my team has won. Its why the play offs pull in much better crowds meaningless silverware or not fans want/hope to see there team win something it makes people happy.

Or it shows just how hard people are working in and around the stadium to improve the track and ultimately the racing. Of course I’m biased being a Plymouth fan but I actually think the pictures give a real truth behind what happens in off seasons and I’d like to think most fans will empathise with the challenges faced to help a club improve their product.

A big well done to Plymouth looking to improve the track, yes it did look bad, but remember still 2 months till the season starts, a little bit of dry weather and a drying wind will help things big style, looking forward to my visit in may with the comets

Not for me. I applaud them for improving the dimensions of the track and trying to improve their product, and its interesting to see what they've been doing and how. And at the end of the day the motorway blade they have there which has been in photos will smooth it all out to a billiard table before the season starts anyway.
