  1. Not for me. I applaud them for improving the dimensions of the track and trying to improve their product, and its interesting to see what they've been doing and how. And at the end of the day the motorway blade they have there which has been in photos will smooth it all out to a billiard table before the season starts anyway.

  2. Playing devils advocate here but all Redcar need to do is find a rider with a higher average than the points they currently have left and ask the bspa to up the limit slightly… precedent has been set by Edinburgh so happy days haha.

  5. I’d go with 1. Ipswich. If anything they have strengthened up from the side that finished last season. Key rider Adam Ellis who surely is better than that average? 2. Leicester . Probably the strongest top 5 in the league. Very reminiscent of Wolves the past 2 seasons who made the top 4 each season as well but stronger looking. Key rider Sam Masters who has been a true number one for several seasons if he can return to that standard Leicester will probably walk the league. 3. Sheffield. Ditto a very strong top 5. Woffy is a star attraction. Key rider Chris Holder who has been very hot and cold when ridden here on his last couple seasons. Should add to his average tho. 4. Oxford. Proper dark horses to me but the more I look at the line up the more impressive they look. Maciej coming back is a real boost to the league. Key rider Maciej Janowski as if he performs as the number one he is expected to then Oxford will be very potent. 5. Belle Vue. You can’t really count out the Aces who have breezed into the play offs the past few seasons. They fall just under the top 4 for me but wouldn’t be surprised if they were in the play offs. Key rider Norick Blodorn has a lot more responsibility this season who has primarily been a reserve for huge chunks of the past 2 seasons. Also Bewley will be expected to perform like the GP rider he is as he was frankly quite disappointing in 23. 6. Kings Lynn. Power packed however only 1 real number compared to the other sides and that’s the only reason I don’t put them in the top 4. Literally everyone bar Iversen and Musielak have huge potential to increase their averages. Key rider Patryk Wojdylo who looked a real winner on his few appearances for the Panthers last season. 7. Birmingham. On paper extremely weak but is a team of proper battlers and racers. Pawlicki had his contract terminated last time he was here but is a decent standard number one. Milik has had his average massively inflated but I’d like to think he would achieve 7 at least. They need Worrall or Brennan to really step up. Lampart is a huge unknown over here. Key rider…… so hard to pick one because they all need to add to their averages so I’ll go with Tom Brennan who really needs to step into true heat leader standard for the Brummies to be a force.

  10. Now, a 16 lapper after qualifying with the top 8 sounds like something interesting and different, unlike what they have proposed

  12. Would think some of these riders will have been approached, but for one reason or another probably don't fancy a journey to deepest Cumbria

  13. Unfortunately as said in recent interviews with Steve lawson, when Workington were accepted into the league at a late stage, mid November after promoter's conference, most teams were already signed up, thus leaving the comets having to think out of the box to sign a team, so far the team looks good, but the last signing seems to be a sticking point, not helped now that Redcar have a similar average to fill

  14. I don't understand any suggestions that Redcar could have avoided this or suggestions they've made a mistake by signing an injured rider. Every year teams start with riders who didn't complete the previous season. What would the alternative be? Don't sign riders till they have proved their fully fit (which may not be till March)? So we could potentially have a dozen riders with no teams because they weren't fit in December when teams were signed! Where will these replacements come from anyway, it's not like there's that many available riders without teams to replace Janowski, Klindt, Wright, Woffinden, Gilkes, Perry, Mulford & Jorgensen for example. Redcar are unfortunate, but all they can do is go off the medical advice at the time, that TJ would be fit in March.

  19. His average last year was higher but tailed off towards the end, maybe realising he had to find a new team, a lower average certainly helps. He's better than his current average for sure.

  20. I rate Jenkins, Saw him a lot for us last season and he got better and better as the season went on.

  21. Nothing against any of them, as i have no affiliation to any side, just feel Glasgow will not be as good as people believe I think Plymouth could be the surprise package as their 1-7 are generally good at home so can be some bonus points won, both Thompsons will improve if they stay injury free, Joe i believe scored 7ish guesting at no.3 last season so being at 7 in a weaker league will see him score well Ok Covatti and Barker aren't Harris/Worrall but they are triers which will give them a good chance

  22. For the sake of the sport and all those involved at Birmingham, I really hope that they have a decent season and get some good numbers through the gate.

  23. To put it into perspective, you have Wolves top 3 from last year, plus Max Fricke and Richard Lawson. I really like the look of this team.
