To be fair, they’ve come a long way quickly. I’m sure it’s just a matter of priorities and how quickly they can get to all of them.2 points

I think that was 'publicity' BS..... Third Season running that LR has put an inept side together! Strange that the 'Official' Team Manager/s haven't made any comment on 'their' final TOP 2 signings? Sam is probably having second thoughts! I'm not that fussed about where we finish in the League.....I'm just glad to get out and have a night off from the Mrs....2 points

Wasn't he on First Dates as well??? I look forward to Alan's business partners examining his proposed investment into BSPL So you don't own any stadiums, haven't got enough riders and the average age of your customers is 88..... .....you don't need £250k mate you need a miracle. Nice pies though.1 point

We only made the change because Marcin decided he needed to leave to prioritise his Polish club. No one wanted him to leave. Once he had left, we signed the best rider we could according to the riders available, which happened to be Vadim once it was established Patryk Wojdylo couldn’t be signed. The rules around 5 point averages were queried at the 2022 AGM, so everyone agreeing to the rules understood the ramifications. Maybe they thought it would never happen, but they agreed the rules. No one said the rule was stupid until it was used.1 point

Maybe the riderssigned represent the best of who actually want to ride in the UK? It's all very well people talking about Zmarzlik, Laguta and Dudek but if they don't want to cone then it means zip.1 point

Sam Ward on Facebook talking about returning to speedway and mentions news that he can't share yet... he's always in the amateur scene at scunthorpe and ould be another 3.00er like mentioned previously.1 point

Come on Brummie fans , give the promoter a break . You still have a club , the team will be competitive and entertaining . To be fair Tolly never said he was talking to Zmarali k , only said it wouldn’t frighten him off . Other fans have got carried away with names on here . He has done well and the team will be good to watch1 point

You'd need more than that after you've paid the VAT. I honestly think that paying any rider £100 a point in the (watered down) Championship is madness.1 point

When you look at how much fun the NL was Cradley Buxton Stoke Mildenhall Kent and the yearly overseas trip to Smallbrooke1 point

You could argue by signing Tarasenko Glasgow built to a higher points limit than everyone else, the rules were stupid, but you can't blame Glasgow for that. Imo any team winning with Tarasenko on a 5.00 would be a hollow victory.1 point

I'd put Kemp in the bottom half of the number 6s, but that shouldn't be an issue as the teams strength is their top 5.1 point

I like what you say Daniel, but the site won't let me 'like'! The problem is still there! I have reported it to admin.....but!1 point

I have no idea how these things really work but as a Leicester supporter I'm really pleased for all concerned at the outcome of this enquiry. In order to obtain Brandon stadium, I wonder whether or not Rugby District Council could place a compulsory purchase order on the site. Maybe there could then be some agreement between the council, the great and the good in the stock car world and the speedway world to lease the land back over a number of years. Whilst there was no compulsory purchase order involved in obtaining the land at Leicester by David Hemsley, I do believe that he did get it on a 99 year lease. If a rent was paid back to Rugby by speedway and stox, they would over a period of time recoup the outlay of paying off Brandon Estates and no doubt see a profit. As I say, I don't understand the finer points of such a suggestion and whether or not it could work but I'd be interested to read people's views on this.1 point

Two points is there anything wrong with riders that aren't going to make the big time just riding in a league for fun and did Perry want a NDL place1 point

There was a meeting at the London Arena in winter 1990 (or 91, can't remember the exact date) - another former London Speedway venue that's bitten the dust. Seem to remember there was a problem halfway through - could have been a leaking roof but the memory is too hazy - hopefully someone out there can remind us more about that day1 point

I also really miss the Brighton Bonanza that ran indoors every December, would love to see that make a comeback. One year they also did an indoor event in Bournemouth too1 point

Yes and there is that man Wayne Broadhurst winning again at the age of 56, 63 riders at Isle of Wight and 40 races, sounds like a good day out and giving the spectators value for money most league speedway track spectators just see 15 minutes of racing, it is time the SCB realise the spectators paying £20 + programme + food and beverages ,want a lot more than the 2 hours of standing around to watch 15 minutes of racing !1 point

Certainly appears so, medals for everyone who turns up.....spectators that is as whats on show will be of little reward. Few years ago the NL was a viable competitor to the CL, now that has been diluted the NDL has to follow suit, to the point that its almost an unviable product. Can't imagine any club will get gates of more than a couple of hundred this season.0 points
